I hired Ms. Hyatt to help me respond to a temporary no contact order. Ms. Hyatt was remarkably calm and perceptive. In our initial meeting, I explained the charges against me and my account of relevant events. She listened carefully and gave me a realistic appraisal of the likelihood that the order would be dismissed. Ms. Hyatt has a calm demeanor that immediately put me at ease. Because she felt that we had a good case, she suggested that she contact the petitioner to offer the possibility of a contract in lieu of the no contact order, which would allow us to avoid the hearing. Ms. Hyatt contacted the petitioner worked quickly to negotiate the contract and ensure that the petitioner dismissed the order. Ms. Hyatt is very sharp, very skilled, and cost-effective. It was a delight to work with her.

Miss Hyatt began representing me in the middle of a messy case. One of which I had been falsely accused and the family court judge had already ruled against me. There was an existing sexual assault protection order between me and a juvenile. Miss Hyatt listened to the situation. She asked questions. She listened to my suggestions about how to reveal the true colors of my accuser and kept me focused. She explained why certain techniques would be seen as harassment by the judge or non-pertinent and the judge may not allow the question at all. Miss Hyatt was excellent in keeping in contact with me, following up, and making me feel that my case was important and not just one of the many in a pile. In the end she presented the DNA evidence to the judge appropriately and that was all that was needed to terminate the order. I didn't have to say a word nor did anything my accusers had to say mattered. It is very difficult to have an order changed once the judge has ruled, so this says a lot about Miss Hyatt's capabilities.

I was charged with 10 felonies in a very complicated case. This man believed in me and worked tirelessly to get a jury of 12 to do the same. He was able to get several of the counts dismissed prior to trial, and defeated each of the felony counts at trial. Tom is very resourceful and experienced, and he works well in a team situation, as he did with Bob Goldsmith in this case. He knew the right questions to ask and the right buttons to push, and he got the result that he wanted. I cannot recommend him enough.

David got me the best settlement, better than what other lawyers said I could do! He also gives personalized attentive service- answered his own phone (most attorneys have a "gatekeeper" and you have to leave messages and hope for a call back) even on the weekend, I could call hime and he would answer.

This lawyer went out of her way to defend my son (a convicted felon). She had knowlege of the laws. She was prepared. She stood up to the Federal agents and the judge who continually tried to shut her out. I think they were rude and short with her just because she is a woman, but she stuck to her preparations and won the case for my son who is a convicted felon. But the evidence was there and she prooved that my son was innocent of the trumpted up charges. Saved him 7 years in prison. We will be forever grateful. She is very hard working, honest. Mr Frix was court appointed and was nothing but amazing from the get go. He reviewed the information, noted serious holes in the case from the state and got to work immediately to gather the evidence to prove my innocence. After all evidence had been collected, he got the erroneous charges against me dismissed. Even after my case was dismissed, he followed up with me from time to time to check on me. I was looking at 12-20 months on a drug charge. Without Bill I would have plead down to a year and a day and would have gone to prison for 8 months with good time. After retaining Bill he did everything in his power to get my charge reduced. Because of Bill I was able to get my case continued and finish an entire year of college before completing my sentence. After nine months of letting the case resolve itself I was given the plea bargain opportunity to plead down to a gross misdemeanor and only receive 60 days of work release. I recommend Bill Johnston as an attorney for anyone charged with drug crimes or anything for that matter. He is a great attorney, a great guy, and a good friend.
