While I understand others may have had positive experiences with Robinson & Henry, my own was deeply disappointing. I initially chose them based on positive reviews and an impressive attorney. I specifically addressed concerns about being passed between attorneys and becoming just a number after paying the retainer. The attorney assured me of consistent communication within two days and that she would remain my sole point of contact.
My case was straightforward: securing court-ordered visitation with my son. Initially, communication was excellent, with prompt email responses. However, after paying the retainer, responsiveness drastically declined. When my son's mother cut off direct communication, requiring all contact through attorneys, I struggled to reach mine. After a week of silence, a paralegal dismissively stated she was "very busy." I also discovered the attorney had filed incorrect paperwork, effectively delaying my case.
Adding to the frustration, the accounting department demanded I replenish my retainer without acknowledging my communication issues or case progress. Shortly after, I was informed, without prior notice or explanation, that a new attorney would be handling my case. I received no refund for the incorrect paperwork filed.
The entire experience was a nightmare. I ultimately sought and found competent representation elsewhere. The only positive aspect was the Customer Relations Manager, who contacted me at the end. She was professional and helpful, earning a five-star rating. However, this single positive interaction couldn't salvage the overall negative experience with the firm.

My situation was incredibly challenging. Arnie got me the absolute best result without question.
I was charged with Felony DUI, Hit & Run. Most importantly, the injury was non-life-threatening and everyone walked away from the accident. However, I was facing jail time, a criminal record and would have to serve time in Colorado as someone who resides in Pennsylvania. I have a successful career in research and faced losing it all due to my poor decision.
I spoke with every reputable attorney in the area, including the team who represented Kobe Bryant. However, from the minute I spoke to Arnie he assured me that this was a "hiccup in life" and that I would get through it. I will never forget that, and he was right.
Arnie gathered all of the information not only the night of the accident, but of me and my personal situation, including the recent death of my father, successful contributions to society and collated the "full picture".
I flew back and forth from PA to CO for hearings and Arnie always ensured it was smooth and necessary. He constantly reassured me that everything was under control and that we would take this to trial, if necessary. As an obsessive researcher, he would agree I was a very tough client to keep calm, but his confidence and aggressive mentality was evident and reassuring. I trusted and followed his instructions as I was told.
Arnie got me the best possible and appropriate sentence, which consisted of only probation and standard DUI classes. His negotiations and discussions with the DA while providing an accurate description of me and my situation made all of the difference. I am forever grateful.
If you ever need an attorney in the area, Arnie is your guy.

I can't speak to the other lawyers at this firm, but I had a very disturbing experience with Andrew Castle, who represented one of my friends in a relatively high profile case. Unfortunately, my friend was found guilty on all 7 counts. And my friend and I weren't really sure of what to do. I asked him if there was any way I could use my platform to try to help? And my friend said that it might help, but that we should first ask his lawyer Andrew, before doing anything. We had agreed that this was a good idea, and I sent an email asking what Andrew thought, making it very clear that I wouldn't do anything if that made him or my friend uncomfortable.
When I asked Andrew if using my platform would be of any use, Andrew's response was very aggressive. I asked him why he was being aggressive, when I already had agreed to not doing anything that he didn't feel comfortable with. To my surprise, his response was to tell me to stop talking to his client, my friend, while he was in custody.
It was a very jarring experience as I simply wanted to try to help my friend, and again, had no interest in doing anything that would make my friend or Andrew feel uncomfortable.
I also found this to be very disturbing, as I imagine being in jail is tough, and someone in jail might want to have as many friends as possible to talk to. However, because I didn't want to further anger Andrew, I and others stopped talking to our friend until he was out of custody. I think that's an incredibly horrible and cruel position to put all of us in, as we simply wanted to provide emotional support throughout an incredibly tough time.
I found Andrew to be extremely insecure, aggressive, and unprofessional. If you or someone you care about is going through a legal process, it's generally a very painful time, and having a lawyer lash out in these ways really adds to the stress of that. I would highly recommend finding a lawyer who can treat others in a professional manner, or at least with a kind mentality.

Barry went above and beyond in so many ways. As his client, I was expecting professionalism and efficiency - both of which he executed flawlessly. What I was not expecting was how well he not only managed my expectations of my case, but the extent to which he made me feel heard, believed in my innocence and how understanding he was of the mental health impact that my situation was having on me. He provided me with the perfect amount of urgency in getting on top of the matter while also providing a sense of calm to keep me level-headed. I am a financial planner with a Denver physician client who is looking to create an ILIT. I called his office asking to speak to an attorney re creating the ILIT and was greeted with a rude assistant who demanded to first speak to my client, told me she could not set a call with Brad and eventually that I should call someone else while hanging up on me. I have been in the industry for 43 years, have worked with attorneys worldwide and have never experienced this sort of brash unprofessional conceit. I wouldn't let this guy litigate a parking ticket, much less create $30M ILIT for my client. Stay away!!

Mr. Jeffrey Wolf and Wolf Law literally saved my life. Mr. Wolf is hands down the best attorney in the State of Colorado. Not only do his awards and recognitions take up more space than a standard studio apartment, he will work diligently to get you the single best Court outcome possible--my experience proves this.
Facing accusations of domestic violence (DV) not once, but twice, I phoned Mr. Wolf. (He responds to calls/emails within the HOUR, but no more than a day.) I was looking at the loss of my healthcare license, time in prison, and a future that I thought was no longer worth living.
I was on probation (a deal that I got from another attorney - big mistake) when I engaged Mr. Wolf following a second accusation of DV. I was looking at a minimum of 1 year jail, but likely closer to 2. I was devastated. However, the deal that Mr. Wolf got me was something out of a movie. Mr. Wolf knows the laws better than anybody else because he literally had to explain this unique, complex deal to not only the DA, but to the JUDGE. It seriously was like something that's mentioned in one paragraph of one law textbook--and Mr. Wolf was the only one who knew about it. I didn't even get probation! Nor did I violate my initial probation! All I had to do was stay out of additional trouble for a year, and it got dismissed! This required Mr. Wolf to extensively communicate with the DA's from both Counties, but also both Judges. Mr. Wolf is who you want on your side because he knows how to talk to whoever it may be to secure you the deal you need for your future.
As if that wasn't crazy enough, I crashed my car a few months later. Because I allowed a good samaritan to drive me the two minutes home, I was charged with Hit and Run. I was looking at another probation violation, and a violation of the "Stay out of Trouble" deal. I was looking at a minimum 2 years jail, all for crashing my car in the snow. When it was time for Court, Mr. Wolf had expertly identified a virtually unnoticeable discrepancy between the responding officer's report and the body cam footage. Because Mr. Wolf noticed this, the whole case was DISMISSED! Choose the lawyer that is going to find these minute details--Mr. Wolf.
It gets crazier - I was recovering from significant brain injuries throughout the entire case, which Mr. Wolf so kindly accommodated for (I needed lots of reminders, which Mr. Wolf provided). Because of this, I had trouble complying with the State-mandated DV treatment. I had gone from agency to agency, until eventually, the DA revoked my probation and recommended me for conviction and sentencing. I truly thought there was no way another miracle could happen, so I mentally prepared for jail. Clearly, I forgot I had Mr. Wolf on my side, because he secured me yet ANOTHER deal, this time even more complex. Mr. Wolf had convinced not only the DA on the other side of the State, but the Judge on the other side of the State to allow me a final chance under unique circumstances. He literally got them to agree to hold off on the Probation revocation, but still hold it over my head, and give me another chance at completing the DV treatment. All I had to do was complete the treatment, which I did, and it was DISMISSED!.
Because of Mr. Wolf and Wolf Law, I have a background check to prove none of this ever even happened. I was given a second chance at life because of Mr. Wolf. Here's what I can guarantee:

I contacted Kip to represent me for a domestic violence charge. Colorado law requires mandatory arrest(s) be made if there is a 911 call related to domestic violence. That arrest happened to be me even though I was the one that walked into the police station to fill out a report. Ironically I was never allowed to complete my report before taken into custody. There was never intent to file charges from either parties involved but Colorado law rarely dismisses a case once there is an arrest. I thought about representing myself but these are serious charges and I wanted the best to represent me. I found Kip online and his great reviews convinced me to pick up the phone and call. I'm glad I did. Kip was great. He was very professional and helpful. He explained things to me and worked hard on my case. He negotiated a very generous plea agreement but I have a hard time agreeing to something that in my opinion is untrue and unfair. I rejected the plea agreement and wanted to exercise my right to a fair trial. KIP is amazing at what he does and was honest about his litigation Comfort level. He understood and respected my position and suggested I hire an attorney that specializes in trial litigation. He did a great job for me and I felt that he truly cared and put in the extra effort. I was injured in an auIto accident and felt ignored by the insurance of the other party. I looked for a local law group instead of large group. The personal touch I immediately felt cannot be emphasized enough. Coupled with the obvious professionalism made this difficult experience much less stressful and I could focus on my recovery.
I was in frequent contact via phone with my attorney and staff. Checked on weekly for my health and recovery. It was a complicated medical situation but they pushed through. I highly recommend Knies, Helland & McPherson. Jenni (Helland) did an amazing job. My ex and her attorney were very antagonistic, liked to draw out the process, and did everything they could to drive up legal fees. Jenni was great in understanding what was happening and the likely outcomes or consequences. She avoided emotional arguments, and instead made sound legal ones. More importantly, she advised me when I was making an emotional decision and gave recommendations on what actions I could take that would be legally successful. Having someone in your corner that was willing to tell you what you needed to hear, instead of what you wanted to hear saved me thousands of dollars.
This is not a law firm that will needlessly drive up costs. For example, I was never charged for attorneys fees for anyone Jenni may have consulted with (this is a frequent tactic of less reputable law firms). I was never given a weekly 'update' that created billing hours even if nothing was happening in the case. Jenni never had me make needless discovery requests, subpoenas or motions that are typical and drive up costs.
I had a more experienced and higher hourly rate attorney than my ex, but my ex's legal fees were 30% higher because of all the shenanigans they played.
Jenni will give you the legal experience you need without driving up costs.
