STOP! Do Not Look Any Further! Robert is your man!
I have been dealing with my ex and her family literally since my son was born in 2011 and them trying relentlessly to get full custody of him. After the first three court fights with a different attorney and trying to appease demands and doing what was best for my son, that still was not good enough.
During my 3rd court fight in 2018, I reached out to Robert because I realized this was not going to stop. Even though I had another attorney at the time, I placed a retainer with Robert as well. I knew I would need someone more aggressive for a bigger fight that would come in the future. I wanted Robert to be familiar with my case and to plan for it. Well, that 4th fight came this year (2023-2024), and HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
Robert has the right balance of aggressiveness, exceptional knowledge, firmness, and negotiating skills. But if push comes to shove, just put your feet up, sit back, and watch! He will NEVER let you be bullied or give an inch on what you legally deserve. So much so, during this 4th court fight, Robert was able to modify my previous court orders (in favor of me), while the opposition filed custody petitions, enforcement petitions, and modification petitions. All of which failed!
Robert is still on retainer! Because as of today, the next time/the LAST TIME/the most important time...will be on our terms! Already preparing.
DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER!!!!

Ms. Middleton is a compassionate, professional and caring attorney. She fought hard for my daughter who ex wanted joint physical custody. Although he received joint legal, he didn't succeed in physical custody. This case went on for 2 years. My daughter is still the custodial parent. If you want a lawyer who shakes in court, can’t answer questions the judge asks, overcharges you, doesn’t communicate when they make decisions days before a court appearance and your lawyer doesn’t appear or call to let you know they are sending someone else, neglects to listen, or appropriately respond to billing questions then these are the Lawyers for you! I wanted to like them and thought my case was pretty straightforward, however, instead of just worrying about my case I have been worrying about the terrible services provided by Colwell and what they will do next to disappoint.

Mr. Kassman is a great attorney backed by an incredible staff who work really hard. We had a horrible tenant that had to be evicted in Suffolk County and Mr. Kassman laid out a plan and executed on it flawlessly. I'm 48 and my husband is a trial lawyer, so I have been inside a lot of court rooms and I've never encountered a lawyer like Mr. Fenchel. I hired him on a very simple matter but watching him interact with his court appointed clients I realized he is a unicorn... a lawyer that genuinely cares what happens to other people.
It is very clear that the judge and DA respect him, but I also respect him for the human kindness he showed not only to his court appointed clients but to their loved ones and to me as well. I can't believe I just handed a lawyer all my money and thought 'wow that was awesome' but here we are. I'm almost glad I got a stone cold sober DUI just so I could know such an interesting person exists. He is so smart careful and articulate I do not think he misspoke a single time, his general policy looks to be to just to outwork everyone and it shows. Eleven stars.

He then proceeded to do in less than two months what the last lawyer had failed to do In the previous 5 months!! He brought my children home where they belonged! After talking to many attorneys that were judgmental and left me anxious and worried. I finally spoke with Scott Limmer and he was so supportive, and did not judge the situation not one bit. He alleviated all my anxieties about it. He is reliable he answers back expeditiously and helps you get your case dealt with as soon as possible. In my case I went from calling lawyers to actually seeing court in a matter of 1 day. He cares about his clients and cares to alleviate their fears about the charge and process. He’s so honest he actually told me he wouldn’t want to take my case since a regular legal aid could take the case and there’s nothing to worry about and he wouldn’t want me to spend money getting something this simple resolved . He even explained what the legal aid would say and do along with the entire process. He advised me even though I was not his client and was giving me advice for another attorney. I immediately hired him ON THE SPOT and he gave me a discount since he felt it still unfair to take my money. I never spoke with a lawyer that actually looks out for your well being. I could’ve cried and I did. He understands that mistakes happen but also understands the unfairness of harsh punishments. The day of court I actually found out the case was already closed. And even though we spent 2 days prepping and talking over the phone the morning of he refunded me all of the money spent for his fee. He’s an angel and a godsent.
