Jacob Silver is an outstanding attorney! My partner was dealing with bad debt and went through a hard time with not being able to make ends meet. I found Mr. Silver on google and saw the amazing reviews and had my partner make an appointment ASAP. Within 2 months Mr. Silver did everything with paperwork, meetings, etc. for the bankruptcy as he felt necessary and let me add that he is always responsive and available for questions when his clients need him because my partner would email at some random times and always received a response! Nothing has been done on my case for over a year, and the dude still held on to my balance and refused to give me a final invoice, adding to the emotional stress. I cannot get another lawyer until I am cleared from him financially. But he won't give me a final invoice and the balance so I can move forward. How are these things right?. This is one of the main reasons for firing him. Lies, lies, lies, lies. Do NOT use this firm!

As a caregiver for many years of a family member who had Parkinson's disease, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our hospital Neurology Department presented me with three names of eldercare law firms as my family member's health was declining.
I interviewed all three firms, then selected Lamson & Cutner to proceed with our eldercare requirements for help in navigating the ever changing legal requirements as to long term nursing home care when on USA Government health care insurances.
I am so happy to have found this law firm for help , my family members agree ,that it was the wisest decision for me to make.
No one can do this complicated legal work alone and it is best ,if possible to proceed with legal issues when the ill person can still understand and contibute their own desires as to what their assets distribution ,usually but not exclusivly into an Irrevocable trust, as well as critical end of life decisions to their family which should be then ultimately drawn up in legal documents by an Attorney .
As the LSCW stated to me when I hesitated thinking "I had so much time to get to this issue" ...'Don't put it off"!

I hired Eric in 2014 when the divorce process started for me and he has followed through with me today, finalizing my divorce, following up on child support arrears, etc. I met with several attorneys before making a selection and chose Eric due to his warm, kind, professional demeanor. Eric explains everything in detail, is there to answer all of my questions as has handled everything with class, respect and decency (even though we are dealing with a not so ideal situation.) I had a difficult time communicating with Tracey. Specifically, I asked her to "clarify" why the final bill was more than "twice" the estimate she gave. Her response was "I will put down my pen" if you do not pay. No clarification. In fact her response is against the code of ethics for the New York Bar which advocates resolving disputes "amicably". Tracey was not resolving disputes "amicably" in this instance. In fact, she is often less than "amicable", and unprofessional, if she feels challenged.
As well, her office "makes mistakes". For example, I have the same documents notarized "twice" because they "expired". The reason they "expired" is because we were missing a Certificate of Death. I expect Tracey to be on top of required documentation and not come up "short" the last minute.
Bottom line, the transaction took six months because of Tracey's lack of attention to details (such as the missing Certificate of Death). To rub salt on the wound, she charged more than twice the estimate because it took "so long" to close.
Do not recommend.
