I first contacted Afia via her IG page, answered few questions about NIW then suggested a consultation call which I did. I booked a call and sent my CV, she said that my chances are strong and recommended going for NIW.
Now, it is worth noting that I consulted three lawyers before, all said they would not take my case since I do not have journal articles published. Regardless of that, I chose to take Afia's recommendation hire Yunus law. At the end of the day impression is perception and after the consultation call and watching her IG reels, the impression I had she is professional, knows what she does, and honest, so that is why I still took her recommendation although three others said no strong chances.
Afia and her team are committed, work professionally , and most importantly diligent in following up regarding the documents needed for the process. Also they generously premium processed my petition before my payment (I do not think that happens in other places :)
Finally I got my I-140 approved and I can't wait to apply for the green card.
I highly recommend working with Afia and her team, and if you are not sure, call them and prepare some good questions to help you make your final decision.

Middle of a tax audit and I was so over my head. The auditor was pretty mean and kept getting more and more aggressive and I was getting super scared of jail or tons of taxes I would never be able to pay back. I called Delia Law the next day and hired them on the spot. Ms. Delia contacted my auditor that day and provided an immediate status to me. She had it under control quickly. She knew the issues and reviewed my case so quick and had all the answers and negotiation strategy. Her confidence in helping me was truly amazing. So grateful she was able to get me through this audit and to help stop an audit of other years. The law office is fine, but Lorraine is a nasty employee who makes the entire experience unpleasant.
After paying for over 50% of the fees well before my meeting, I then had a $2,000 balance. I had one more meeting and asked to have $1,000 charged with a balance due of $1,000 at the final meeting.
Jennifer marched and demanded payment in full...leaving me wondering why would any firm demand full payment with more work to be completed and why would the firm approve of her strong arming me. A little compromise goes a long way Lorraine, with many of attorneys out there with lovely staff I'd rethink recommending this firm.

My wife and I attended a seminar about Estate Planning put on by FCLL. Morgen explained the differences between wills and trusts in simple terms. We scheduled a meeting with Morgen to setup a trust. Prior to the meeting, we were directed to a website where FCLL collected all kinds of data used in the creation of the Trust. When we sat down with Morgen to discuss everything, it was efficient (due to prior data collection) and easy. My wife and I felt at-ease with Morgen and confident that she was looking out for our best interests.
I decided to set up a trust because my mother set one up and gave me the paperwork I would need when she passed. The trust made everything simple fo rme (as the trustee). No need for a lawyer at the time of mom's passing. Since I was the trustee, everything was simple.
I would suggest that everyone setup a trust if you have any assets in your estate and if you are local, by all means go see Morgen.

I read the past review about Jaime before calling him and knew immediately I'd like this guy and what do you know, 10 minutes into the call, he has me cackling on the phone. I've spoken to dozens of lawyers at this point about my landlord-tenant case, but I can say that out of all these people, Jaime truly cares for your wellbeing. Not only could he relate to the issues I've been dealing with, but he also shows compassion towards me, and is honest, transparent, and thoughtful in his responses. You'll find lawyers that want to take your money and rake up the charges, but I can tell he'd spend the diligent time fighting for my rights to ensure I can sleep soundly at night.

Jaime is a beast at this. I called this man with a situation that had me so mad i couldn't even explain to him correctly . I hung up because at this point i was so mad that im sure he could not understand me. He kindly called me back. I yelled at this man from the top of my lungs assuming he was going to treat me as other attorneys i tried calling prior to Jaime. Some even saying i dont understand you, you sound chinese. This man took his time to research and recommend me some actions i should take towards my situation. Somthing other attorneys could not provide me with. He did all this for free ! I suggest you stop the search and give this homie a call .

Jaime spent one hour and 12 minutes on the phone with me painting the reality of the legal system here in NY for a naïve dork who just moved here and was scammed. He was direct (one big reason I just moved back to the East Coast) and helped create a new angle that may help me with my challenge before I have to jump and swim in a whole heap of bureaucratic mess I would prefer not to play in. I hope I never have to play with the law again after I settle into my life here in the big apple. I felt there were enough things I experienced in my conversation with Jaime that would lead me to trust him. He tells stories in a way that truly helped me to see some of what I need to see. In my early years I heard many disturbing stories of how people lost a major part of their inheritance to City, State and Federal tax, after their parents died without having lawful protection from the tax system, and the thought of seeking a protection crossed my mind many times. But I kept postponed it to next week, next month, or next year, and year after year until I became much older and one morning I woke up with a terrible thought of how foolish it would have been If anything happened to me and left my family without protection losing half of what really belongs to them.

Though my husband refused to believe he was very ill, we both heard the doctors tell us he had a cancer he had probably gotten while serving in VietNam.
