Do not waste your time with other attorneys. Elise Liebowitz is the person you need to fight for you. I had difficulty getting into a Mitchell-Lama cooperative. I had another attorney who after 3 months was getting nowhere with management and HPD. I then hired Elise Liebowitz and within 3 weeks I was offered a cooperative that I accepted. She worked diligently with HPD to resolve all issues. She was always available to answer any of my concerns. She and her team will not disappoint you.

Anthony supported me in a FSBO of a studio apartment in a cooperative building (Manhattan, upper East side). Anthony is a no non-sense attorney with years of experience in the NYC real estate market. He answers calls and emails promptly and effectively, whether it is a week day or the weekend. I chose not to have an agent representing me in the sale therefore it was essential for me to hire an attorney that would keep me informed and on board each step of the way. I called the office of Attorney Anthony Ballato after searching for some who deals with knowledge of the Lemon law. Mr Ballato was extremely helpful, and personable. He spoke to me giving me his time and showing compassion.
He explained that due to the car being purchased out of state he would recommend an attorney in the state where the vehicle was purchased. He just happened to know an attorney in that state I mentioned then.. he sent a text message ahead while still on the phone with me sharing with this attorney my dilemma. I was amazed because many would and have said “sorry but I can’t help you” that’s out of my jurisdiction. Not Mr Ballato he wen the extra mile and I am so very grateful to him. I bought a Harley Davidson motorcycle that sadly turned out to be a lemon. Initially, I decided to handle the process of filing a lemon law claim on my own. However, once I received a response from Harley's attorneys, I quickly realized that I was in over my head. I found Anthony Ballato's firm through an online search. Despite my hearing being scheduled just a few weeks away, Anthony graciously agreed to review my case. 10 years ago i saw mr. mihuta in rensselaer county court and he was the only lawyer that argued with the judge for his client. other attorneys i witnessed agreeing with the da. Mr. Mituta wouldnt take anything less then the best for his client. i was impressed then and started to retain him. I have used lucas over the last 10 plus years for various criminal court proceedings, to surrogates and most recently my personal injury case which went to trial. During trial i was so impressed with his knowledge of medical that i asked him if he had a medical degree as well. he actually had the doctors re think what they were saying and his style had the jury do anything BUT fall asleep. even the judge said he was looking forward to lucas keeping him awake. he was so impressive with his closing arguments he had me crying and moved the jury to a favorable outcome. Hes friendly, impressively knowledgable, understanding and most of all not judgemental in anyway. lucas generally cares for his clients and will work hard to make sure he gets the bests results for you. stop looking for attorneys. i swear you hit jackpot with mr. mihuta, your in good hands and worth every penny.

When I picked up my 3rd drinking and driving offense I knew I messed up. I reached out to a few different attorneys and determined Tom was the best fit for me and I wasn't wrong. Mr. Splain knew I messed up pretty big as well, but never made me feel worse than I already felt. Tom was able to get this DWI reduced to a DWAI with all the minimum sanctions. Tom's presence in the court room is second to no one and he is clearly very well connected with the players in the judicial system in the greater Rochester area. My biggest hurdle was the DMV hearing. Tom, was able to get the refusal dismissed. Which to my understanding, is like finding a needle in a haystack!
Tom Splain is one of the premier, top notch, defense attorneys around and I highly recommend him when your backs against the wall!

Though my husband refused to believe he was very ill, we both heard the doctors tell us he had a cancer he had probably gotten while serving in VietNam. After our motor vehicle incident with our son and having it out of county, we did not know who to call. We found Thomas McGovern through very good friends while looking for a real estate attorney for a co-op we were putting an offer on in Queens. We called a few other recommendations from other people but automatically felt comfortable with choosing Tom due to his experience with co-ops and more importantly, his friendly and efficient demeanor. He guided us through more than just the law side of the process. We were actually rejected from the co-op board without an interview. All the work that Tom had done for months was down the co-op tubes… he did not, for one second, make us feel like his time was wasted! He was disappointed for us and encouraged us back on our search. First and foremost, the Magnell Office is a cut above the rest. They were not only cordial and attentive but displayed a strong sense of trust, integrity, and reliability when taking on my case. Back in 2020, I got a speeding ticket for driving a 53 in a 30. As an out-of-state driver, I was unaware of New York's point system. Not to mention the fact that this was my first-time offense. Long story short, I would have gotten 6 pts; however, the Magnell Office brought it down to 0 pts and a fine for littering on the highway. I highly recommend this law firm.
