On January 27, 2023, I was involved in a car accident with a semi-trailer truck on IH-35 Northbound between Austin and Pflugerville. I sustained multiple injuries, including neck, lower back, knee, and head injuries.
After consulting many law firms in the Austin area, I hired FVF Law to represent me throughout the process. Hope Guardia was assigned to my case, and from day one, she was excellent. I explained my side of the story to her, and she told me that she believed I had a case. She immediately started gathering all the evidence about the accident and started handling the negotiations and claim process with the insurance company.
I was informed every step of the way. Hope would email or call me every time she communicated with the opposing council, and she would also follow up with me after every doctor’s appointment to check on me. She was caring and valued my case.
Hope Guardia and Mark Farris were knowledgeable and had much experience in accident law and settlement procedures.
The case took over 21 months before the settlement was reached because the insurance company was dragging the case. The opposing council kept rejecting every demand that was made by my lawyer until Mark Farris came on board to assist Hope with the case. Mark pushed the insurance company to settle the case or go to court. The first time I spoke to Mark, he assured me that he was going to be very aggressive with the opposing council, and he kept his word. Because of my injuries and all my medical bills, he insisted that the insurance company pay the full policy. Moreover, we ended up going to mediation, and the final settlement amount was very close to our demand. I think the settlement was fair given the circumstances.
All my medical bills have been paid, and I have put some money aside for future medical bills as well.
I hope what happened to me that day will never happen again to me or any of my family members. However, if I ever need an injury lawyer, I will definitely hire FVF Law Firm, especially Hope Guardia and Mark Farris. These two lawyers made me feel like a family member. For that, I am grateful for what an excellent job they did. Thank you, Hope, Mark, and FVF Law, for everything you did to help me get the best settlement in my case. Y’all are forever my lawyers!

I saw a couple positive reviews mentioning Slav after I contacted Walters Gilbreath to handle my case because I was too busy working to handle it myself, so I thought I was in good hands. Nope. There were many errors that I caught on paperwork he did.
Travis County made an error on the lien I had filed on my ex-husband’s house in 2015, and Slav basically said there was nothing I could do about that.
My ex-was trying to get me to drop the $1000/mo spousal maintenance because he had to go on disability. He hadn’t been paying anything for the past 8 years except for the 2 years he was garnished.
John Hennan was my ex-husband’s attorney and he kept making lowball offers that I had TOLD Slav I would not accept, but, to run up the bill with 6-min minimum calls, Slav would call me himself, saying he was obligated to present all offers. It was also interfering with my job, which was also a huge issue.
Luckily I had a friend in California who is an attorney and she was happy to read the documents that Slav sent, and pointed out several errors, and she made helpful recommendations.
As far as Travis county and the lien error, I used my lunch break to contact them, showed them the error, and told the clerk I needed the corrected lien ASAP because my ex- was trying to sell his house quickly through Zillow. The Travis Clerk was amazing. She not only made the correction, but she emailed and mailed a certified copy that I was able to send to Zillow.
I had to pay a $5000 retainer for someone to just use it all up and ask me to sign documents with errors.
I will never use this firm again.
I would have done it pro se if I didn’t live in WilCo and have a great day job.

I had a unique custody case that was a bit of an uphill battle for what I wanted to accomplish. Slav Talavera was incredible and got me AMAZING results and I was completely done within a few months. I thought this would drag out through the end of the year. He was extremely thorough and excellent with communication. I hope I won't need their services again, but will go back to them if I ever do and I highly recommend Walters Gilbreath.

The team over at CHA were absolutely fantastic! From start to finish they made sure that everything was just so and as a result I am legally me. 😊 Not only do I not dread social situations where I may be carded anymore, or going through the airport, I'm excited about being carded (which at 40 is no small feat 😅)
Are the services offered absolutely necessary? No, you can go through this process on your own, but their fees were not exorbitant by any stretch and they were work every penny for the peace of mind alone that it was being done right and wouldn't get kicked back.

Luke Wallace is an amazing attorney. Absolute charlatans. Initially spoke with Kennedy who told me everything I wanted to hear and referred me to Alonzo. All I was asking for is to have the court and force my custody rights in the Texas divorce decree. After draining my wallet for $25,000 over 2 years my case never got in front of a judge. My ex-wife's crackerjacks lawyer from some legal.com website kept my lawyer on her heels the entire time. My lawyer also found inventive ways to charge me more money and get a psychiatrist friend of hers into my pocket as well. Adding insult to injury, a friend of mines mother works at a competing law firm and was blown away that Gray and Becker was so ineffectual over something so black and white as custody outlined in a divorce decree IN THE SAME STATE THE DIVORCE WAS PROPAGATED.

I was referred to Marshall after consulting with three other attorneys who could not or were not interested in taking on my high conflict case.
Marshall, was extremely thoughtful, an empathetic listener, and direct with his thoughts on my case. In my years working with attorneys in and out of the family courtroom I have found many attorneys who are not direct and straight forward, which cost me time and money with little to no gain. Marshal was the exact opposite of this. I knew I could trust Marshall and felt it was easy to communicate effectively with him.
He did an emergency hearing for me only hours ahead of when I was suppose to be seeing my children for my scheduled custody. He not only won the hearing and got it thrown out he was very supportive and encouraging to me while going through a situation that was obviously very emotional for me. (This is an example of only one hearing he represented me through.)
He is an out of the box thinker and takes on cases with passion and gusto. I respected and appreciated that he invested his emptions into achieving the best possible outcomes.
I never left a phone conversation with Marshall without a smile on my face. I share this as any legal proceeding is always filled with high emotions and stress. It says a lot when you can hire an attorney with excellent abilities in representing your case and keep your smiling through it.

I worked with Marshall over a period of about 7 months. It was the worst time of my personal life, and I was deeply afraid of what my almost-ex was capable of as we attempted to discuss matters of custody.

I had the pleasure of working with Shane Boasberg for 19 months on a Family Law case centered on my divorce agreement to sell my jointly-owned house. We won!! Shane's experience, professionalism, and work quality were 100% on display when we arrived at court against the opposing counsel. He had a huge Trial Binder for the Judge to use and follow along during the trial, and over (10) exhibits to log in - more than doubling the opposing counsel's exhibits, and providing the ONLY binder to the Judge! Shane and I worked together to get evidence collected and sorted. We conversed long-distance since I live outside of Austin, but the house is near Austin. Shane came recommended by a friend, and was absolutely amazing to work with. I needed legal help with an eviction for a nightmare tenant, and Shane went above and beyond preparing an air-tight case. Although evictions are not the type of law he normally deals with, he learned everything about it quickly and got my tenant out in a timely fashion. He was in constant communication with me throughout the entire process, making sure we were overly prepared so everything would go in our favor. The judge also loved his wit and personal ability. Terrible Divorce Lawyer - Do Not Hire
I would not recommend this lawyer for your divorce. Not only is he incredibly unprofessional, but he also fails to deliver on basic legal responsibilities. He never filed any of the necessary documents for my divorce, and I was left completely in the dark throughout the process. He doesn't answer calls, doesn't follow up, and completely ignores your concerns. I regret choosing him and would strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

I met Mr.bernard when he was my court appointed lawyer. I was facing 3 felony possession charges and a massive drug addiction. I listened to his plan and he was able to get the courts to give me deferred adjudication. Mr.Bernard never treated me like I wasn't paying for his representation. Within 5 years I landed in court 2 more times again facing felony possession in different counties. He not only traveled over an hour away but also got me deferred adjudication again. I have unfortunately been able to deal with alot of different lawyers over my years .Now I have used Mr.Bernard 3 times myself over the last 5 years .Also he just 6 months ago bonded my Youngest child out of jail for 300$ and in one week he had the case thrown out ..My best Potna is also using him now also.I liked that Brian was upfront about the money and the situation.
