James Cordes provided terrible advice. His drafting was sloppy and required extensive redrafting by opposing counsel, and he advised me to take a terrible deal. Because of James, I am taking home a fraction of my income. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how bad it was until firing him and employing new counsel. He is a nice man, but a bad lawyer. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before it was too late.

James is a nice man. But he cost me 100s of thousands of dollars that I didn’t need to pay. I consulted with two additional attorneys, but it was too late and the damage was done. He also gave me bad advice about the likely outcome of a court case if we went to trial. The money out-of-pocket going to my ex wife was earmarked for my children in a trust. In short, she is taking my kids’ inheritance and James advised the outcome. James is minimally competent—he included items in the separation agreement that I did not okay, massive amounts of typos in court documents, and he advised that if I went to court I might have to pay lifetime maintenance (I later found out that the statutory period would have been 7.5 years, not 40+ years (if my ex-wife lived to be 80) as he suggested could be the outcome. James means well and seems like a nice guy, but he is a bad lawyer.

We hired Lester Nieves to represent a very complex criminal case. I completely trust him to represent who we hired him for. He definitely knows the law and your rights . I would recommend him above any other attorney including the ones that are way too high priced for our budget. Lester's fee to retain and represent are more than fair. Out of all the attorneys I've spoken with we picked him and I have absolutely no regrets at all Thank you so much Lester!!!!

Having no experience in this field at all, I was pretty terrified when I was shown to be at fault for a car accident. The entire team was excellent gave me a lot of information helped me to remain calm, and on the day of Katy in particular went way above and beyond the call of duty to help facilitate me reaching the courthouse on time. I was very impressed on every level with this operation.
Oh, and they significantly reduced the amount of trouble I was going to get into! Well worth the retainer.

I would not recommend this law firm. Mr. Driskell worked on my sons case. He never returns phone calls and e-mail. His prices are outrages. We’re thinking he cheated us on our settlement. I’ve ask for the file and to this day I have not gotten anything!!!

Do not hire Patrick Fitzgerald. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. Mr Fitzgerald will make deals with the DA that you did not approve of and use your case against you to make you feel like less of a human being. He will criticize, curse and hang up on you if you question what he is doing and why he is making deals without your consent. Absolutely horrible!!

Sarah continued to be there to answer my calls, emails, texts questions, everything from dmv questions, to probation questions, to out of state dmv questions. My case happend while on vacation so I was unable to attend court in person and Nic was above and beyond in getting our hearings heard as early as possible via zoom and was able to attain the best outcome that could have been possible thanks to the investigating he did into the case. Emily did a very good job. She’s pragmatic , intelligent and honest. Emily plans the next steps while still being present in the current step. Very organized and thorough. This is the Chris Mahre in Grand Junction not the good attorney in New York! I wrote a couple of bad reviews for Brendon Riley who, I believe knew because I have mental issues, he could do nothing in my case and let my ex husband’s attorney draw up our divorce and told me I had no choice but to sign it. It caused me to lose everything I have and left me homeless. After I wrote the reviews Chris Mahre called me and was so desperate for me take the reviews down that he promised me twice in that phone call that he would fix the problem that Riley caused me. I made him promise me twice because I was afraid he was just saying it to get me to take the reviews down. Well I was right. As soon as the reviews were down. Cheri Mahre started making excuses about why he couldn’t represent me or even fix the problem Riley had caused. He gave me a couple of attorney names and told me not to call back. Bear in mind that I am an elderly woman suffering from PTSD, a victim of domestic violence, and Mr Riley abandoned me in the middle of my case so I had no representation which along with the separation agreement that Mr Riley sabotaged me with, I am homeless, and have lost everything to the man who victimized me!! All because they know I am powerless.

I don't think this is where Mr. Ramunda shines. I ended up worse than if I had not had an attorney at all. I'm not talking about money that I had to pay I'm talking about custody of my child. He didn't listen to what I was saying and ended up just giving my ex whatever she wanted. He didn't provide sound advice and the judge did not listen to anything that we had to say.

Mr. Ramunda provides outstanding legal counsel and brings a zest to his profession. His dedication and determination resulted in my acquittal from a 2014 civil case. I would recommend his representation to any person in the Denver area.
Due to the nature of the civil charges I required a world class professional to clear my name. The civil charges were unfounded and unwarranted, nonetheless, I had much riding on the result. The civil claim triggered a criminal charge which had my eighteen-year military career hanging in the balance of the court system.
Fortunately, Mr. Ramunda's expertise and commitment to excellence saw the civil case brought against me denied and the DA dropped their pending case.

Dianne was referred to me through Legal Shield, a service offered through my employment to help me with my Child Support Modification initiated by my ex-wife. We established a client-attorney relationship after a short phone consult in late December 2023. There were some technical difficulties submitting my retainer payment of $3,500 online into her preferred MyCase Client Portal. I ended up paying her first invoice of $1,423 by credit card for services she had already completed. Shortly after that transaction was paid, my inital retainer payment of $3,500 was finally withdrawn from my checking account. I figured I might as well keep it there since my case was still open.
Dianne ghosted me days before a scheduled telephone pretrial hearing with the Courts. My repeated calls, texts, and messages were unreturned until the day before the meeting! I was so stressed and panicked thinking that I am no longer represented. Fortunately, we were able to settle my case prior to our court appearance. But the opposing counsel also had difficulties getting a response from Dianne near the agreed deadline. We were able to eventually finalize and signed everything through the Courts on February 29, 2024.
Dianne has now ghosted me again after numerous requests to have her send me the final invoice for her services and still has my $3,500 retainer captive for nearly 2 months!! I'm not sure what is going on now. I see multiple 5 star reviews early on but this is not my encounter with her recently.

Dianne is very experienced and knowledgeable. I found her to be extremely compassionate during a time that I needed support, and she understood that there was a human in the equation from the start. I interviewed several attorneys and I found that Dianne was the most relatable, intuitive listener in the interview process. She answered my many questions about legal processes and documents, helping me understand the construct of what I was going through. I was more confident with her on my team, and while I believe no one wins in divorce, I think she helped me wrap my head around my own situation and take control of my outcome.

Jen helped me unravel a very sticky situation last year regarding custody and child support payments. I hired her again this year to assist in coming to a final resolution on unfair alimony payments. I hired Jennifer for a non-contested divorce and she took the time to go through my soon-to-be-ex's and my agreement and explain the law thoroughly. Jessica and her colleagues insisted that I appeal my probate case.
At the appeal she:
. Failed to give the judges her registration number
. Only argued one of the five points that I was appealing
. Ran out of time in court (she sat herself down after 15 minutes—she should have kept going until the judges told her that her time was up).
. Tried to argue a point that was not in the original court proceedings. From the judges written opinion:
"While the Interested Persons switch gears and argue in their reply brief that “Mark failed to meet his burden” to rebut the presumption, that’s different from their original argument that the court committed legal error. We don’t consider this argument raised for the first time in the reply brief."
So, the judges ruled against me on all five points.

As personal representative of my Dad's estate, I hired Jessica for legal expertise in getting the necessary financial information from various entities that were otherwise unwilling to provide it, and to resolve a major issue between me and another family member related to the estate. At the time I hired Jessica, I had been trying to resolve these issues for more than a year. Within a short time Jessica was able to secure the financial information that I needed, and within months she had us before a mediator, then a court hearing, then final negotiations to conclude all of the issues related to the estate. She has consistently been very responsive by email or phone, watches timelines and follows up on outstanding issues without any prompting, and demonstrates in all of our dealings her outstanding knowledge of statute and case law and strategies on how to resolve the estate issues.

It's with great pleasure to recommend Trista for any complex Family Law matter. Complex cases can be challenging when small details can make or break the outcome, and with Trista leading the strategy, I was fortunate to have a favorable outcome. Her investment in her clients cases is sincere and genuine. I was happy with the outcome, while she was critical of herself wanting more in OUR case (she's in it for you and your family more than I've seen any other attorney invest in their families). Opposing counsel in this case was a stereotypical type of attorney. One who liked to play on words, make assumptions and toe the line of transparency and honesty. Katie Pierce abandoned my case for reasons unknown in a manner the judge called prejudicial. She also blocked me from filing in my own case for weeks by being unresponsive and contrary while still officially representing me. It was so egregious and unexplained that the Colorado Bar Association accepted a grievance and opened a case against her, but apparently she's still doing well and practicing.
I was still in good financial standing toward her and she'd made no ethical objection to me. Maybe it was personal. I don't know why she chose to represent me so poorly, but I do not recommend putting your trust in her hands when the case for your kids is on the line.

My situation was incredibly challenging. Arnie got me the absolute best result without question.
I was charged with Felony DUI, Hit & Run. Most importantly, the injury was non-life-threatening and everyone walked away from the accident. However, I was facing jail time, a criminal record and would have to serve time in Colorado as someone who resides in Pennsylvania. I have a successful career in research and faced losing it all due to my poor decision.

I hired Colleen for a divorce, and during the initial consultation I was told everything I wanted to hear in order for her to get my retainer, then it all went downhill from there. I do not think it is ethical for attorneys to make false promises to clients, and have no accountability for poor performance. Colleen was never on time for a single appointment we arranged, and it was clear that she took on more cases than she could handle to maximize her revenue, even as it diminished the quality of her legal work. I would go into hearings having no idea what was going on, as there was inadequate or no preparation at all. In the end, I was coerced into a settlement agreement I did not want to sign, with Colleen complaining beforehand about collecting more attorneys fees, and her not wanting to do a full day hearing. You'd honestly be better off representing yourself.

My opinions of Jim Helfrich and Kate Sender go beyond my ability to express. The best I can say is that I trust them to do their absolute best, which I believe they have done. No bullshit.
They haven’t always told me what I want to hear, but they have always considered my opinion and that has been reflected in the things they have produced on my behalf. My case is not over, but they believe in me and have taken my side with the best they have to offer. Their rates are fair, and I have never had the feeling they were fabricating hours as so many law firms do, especially the law firm that is attacking me. Subject: Warning: Avoid Robinson & Henry Law Firm
I strongly advise against hiring Robinson & Henry Law Firm, particularly the attorney assigned to my case and her supervisor, who claims to specialize in criminal defense. After spending $32,000 over 5 months with no results, I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent others from being misled.
My attorney’s performance was disgraceful. Her lack of preparation was evident during a court hearing, leading to frustration from both the magistrate and District Attorney. She was reprimanded by the magistrate and even talked over him, further exposing her incompetence.
Communication was nonexistent. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, responses were rare and inadequate. Most frustrating was her failure to communicate a critical offer from the District Attorney that could have resolved my son's case, forcing him to remain in a boys' home. Her negligence caused my family to lose precious time with my son.
The situation worsened when my attorney went on vacation, delaying the case further. After voicing my concerns to her supervisor multiple times, I was met with excuses and reprimands. The supervisor claimed a lack of communication and threatened to withdraw from the case right before a hearing, despite my timely payments. Their withdrawal left me with no choice but to continue with their services to avoid further delays, only to witness another poor performance at the hearing and an additional $2,000 charge.
I gave the firm every opportunity to make this right. I spoke with a representative who promised to escalate my concerns to the board and follow up within 3-5 days, but no follow-up occurred. It is clear this firm prioritizes their fees over their clients.
I am now prepared to file a grievance against Robinson & Henry for their handling of this matter. If you have questions about my experience, I am ready to provide detailed evidence to substantiate my claims.
