The initial consultation started with Marty Long being concerned about my well being. Bankruptcy is hard and extremely embarrassing. Marty outlined what would take place when filing Chapter 7 and never talked over my head. Marty, also did everything he said he would do in my case. Communication between client and attorney was quick and accurate. Marty sent me on my way with a future that will be debt free. Highly recommend.

This is an awful firm to work with. They charge exorbitant fees. Use junior lawyers who are unqualified, have poor communication skills and take two days to respond to client requests. They charged us close to $6,000 for an eviction. Beware of this firm. I do not recommend and am pulling my three properties that are currently with them.

We greatly appreciate the help that we received from Meggin and Tracy. Our father has dementia and his wife filed for divorce shortly after his diagnosis. With help from the Rutherford Law Center, we have been able to navigate the divorce and obtain guardianship. This is still very difficult for us, but we are managing and we are stable and we really appreciate the help that we received getting to this point.

From my first appointment with Laura Shapiro to the day I picked up my copies of the court authorized divorce agreement, I knew I had a legal team of experts who cared that my final agreement would be comfortable and beneficial for me. They listened to my story, they coached me through my responsibilities, they were considerate of my collaborative wishes to work with my husband, and eventually designed a creative agreement that was acceptable to both of us. It was truly an honor working with Hannah. I made the mistake of not doing my reaserch with my original lawyer on the case and after much research we found Hannah and it was quite a relief from the previous experience. She paid attention to detail from my original divorce that was finalized in 2019 and caught something that I never would have caught, and it was a huge benefit in my case. She also has a paralegal that helps a lot with the cost. Family issues are important and unfortunately costly, but compared to my previous lawyer her hard work, and quick resposes were a fraction of the cost because of her paralegal. She is extremely motivaed and was able to settle our case out of court because of her polite yet strong character. Hannah is efficient, polite, and worked really well with opposing counsel, which I believe resulted in the case being handled outside of court. One thing Hannah would always provide is options. I really enjoyed knowing all my options and then getting her opinion on the route she would take. I happeded to agree with her on all matters that needed decision and I couldn't have asked for a better end result. I highly recommend doing your research before settling, and having the consultation and you will realize Hannah is an oustanding choice to represent you.

Having no experience in this field at all, I was pretty terrified when I was shown to be at fault for a car accident. The entire team was excellent gave me a lot of information helped me to remain calm, and on the day of Katy in particular went way above and beyond the call of duty to help facilitate me reaching the courthouse on time. I was very impressed on every level with this operation. Oh, and they significantly reduced the amount of trouble I was going to get into! Well worth the retainer.

I hired Spencer Kotnik to represent me in a disability lawsuit. Unfortunately, my experience with him was extremely negative. He seemed uninterested in my case and spent significant time rambling during our meetings. Despite multiple requests, he failed to improve his communication skills, which was particularly frustrating given my own disability. I no longer trusted Spencer or his firm, so I consulted with another Denver lawyer who took the time to review everything exchanged during the process. She encouraged me to ask Spencer specific questions, which he ignored until two days before my deadline. She agreed that he missed a few key points, was all over the place, and " his communication is not his strong point". Working with Spencer and his team left me stranded, frustrated, and unheard. I would not recommend their services to anyone, especially anyone with a disability.

I am very satisfied with the services I received from this firm. Everyone involved with my case was efficient, kind and knowledgeable. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a divorce attorney, I highly recommend this team. Three years ago I found Dawn using AVVO. I did my due diligence by interviewing and consulting with a few attorneys prior to sitting down with Dawn. My son's mother can be challenging to communicate with, to where I don't want to be in the same room with her for any length of time. We hammered out a parenting agreement with the use of a fair mediator. Dawn's a straight to the point attorney tell her the facts and don't waste yours and her time, then let her fight for you. I did have one bad incident that we had to return to court. Thank goodness Dawn had my back. This appearance would have costed me a lot in child support fees had I not retained Dawn. Son's mother wanted 100% custody and paid supervised child visitation, basically THE BOOK at me. Which the case was resolved through family counseling and my parenting time restored over six months. Our father-son relationship is fine and its great watching him grow into a young teenager. I love instilling my family values and mentoring my son and no one can do it better than myself, not the school system or the government. These intangibles are invaluable and Dawn O'Neill provided it all. Thank you, Dawn.

Mary’s name was given to me on the recommendation of someone who had known her professionally. It very much felt as though Mr. Laurence had his mind made up from the very beginning as to how things should be. He was direct and somewhat stoic in his interactions. Despite explaining situations multiple times, his synopsis had inaccurate information and assumptions. I would not recommend using his services and was very frustrated and disappointed.

I had been representing myself pro se for several years against my son's father who eventually became my husband. From the beginning of our custody case when my son was born to years later when we were filing to end our marriage and custody changes he had threatened getting an attorney every time there was something he didn't agree with. However, we would always show up to court by himself, as would I, and we were always able to come to an agreement and were able to work things out without any representation. Once he entered a relationship with someone else, things got ugly and spiteful and she found and paid for him to have an attorney. I consider myself to be a very intelligent person and have usually been able to find whatever I need to in order to represent myself fully against another individual. In fact, friends, family and other people have often wondered why I never went to school to become an attorney myself. I had several attorneys even tell me that they were impressed by how well prepared I was before a court hearing. However, I know my limitations. I will never get overconfident. My intelligence also tells me when I need to rely on the experts and not lean upon my own understanding. That is where Laurence comes in. My ex finally retained an attorney and after weeks of trying to find an attorney through my pre-paid legal plan thru my job, which proved useless, Laurence consulted with me, reasoned with me, gave me the facts, and told me what to expect. Not only was he able to get a continuance in my matter so that he can represent me to the best of his ability, he gave me peace of mind that he was there to represent me and that he was not there to play any games. Even though we haven't been to court yet...( still pending) everything that he as said he will do, he has done. Everything he has expected to happen has happened. There have been no surprises. I consulted with him a few years back and he told me that he didn't think I would need an attorney and I didn't. He could have taken advantage of me then and tried to convince me to hire him even though I didn't need it at the time and that resonated with me. I had consulted with at least 7 other attorneys before him this time around. Not because they didn't believe I had a case, but because it was around the holidays and the end of the year and many attorneys didn't want to take on new clients so close to the end of the year. I remembered how forthcoming he was with me before, so outside of my legal plan, I reached out to him. He didn't disappoint. I'm still not sure what the future holds in my case as we still have to prepare for the hearing, however, just the fact that Laurence was willing and able to give me the time of day, willing to take on my difficult and complex case at the end of the year, around the holidays, and sympathetic to my situation, gives him an A+ in my book. He was sympathetic, understanding, and very knowledgeable. In the end, its not about just trying to stick it to the other party. That is not my goal. It is what is in the best interest of my child. For that, I will be forever grateful to him and his team. I would definitely recommend him. As long as you are straight up, honest, and forthcoming with what you want out of your case, he is the one to call. I'll definitely update my review with any outcomes, whether they are in my favor or not. I truly believe that as long as he represents my needs and the needs of my child, and goes to bat for us and does it to his fullest, even if it doesn't work out completely in my favor; that is not a reflection of him and his abilities. I will still give credit where credit is due.

If you're looking for a lawyer who will work hard for your case, Monica McElyea is the one! I've been through a custody battle for the last three years. I've been represented by a few different lawyers in the past for previous modifications, etc, but not a single lawyer I've been represented by or consulted with in the past have the drive Ms. McElyea does. She knows her stuff, and she is so good and passionate about her work. I had no prior contact with Monica so I reached out based on a web search of local Summit County attorneys and Monica was very responsive to my request for an interview. I was involved in a single car accident but I felt the citation given by a police witness was way too harsh of a charge given the icy and sloping road conditions. She spent the majority of her billable time discussing the occurrence with me and researching all the A/V evidence and testimony to make sure she fully understood the situation and the reason why I believed the heightened charge against me was motivated by more than just the facts behind the accident. I found her rates to be reasonable, her ability to navigate the legal processes was spot on and ultimately she was able to quickly negotiate a lessor, more appropriate charge that was even better than I expected or asked for. Then, since I’m not living in the state of Colorado, she handled closing out all of the terms of the plea agreement on my behalf and returning the unused balance of my retainer. While trying to enforce a judgement won by Mr. Enochson against my employer, Mr Enochson implored me to accept their bankruptcy offer and promised that he would do the rest of the case for free. Not only did Paul refuse my bankruptcy attorney’s ask to enforce opposing counsel’s non- compliance but unbeknownst to me, Paul had the audacity to try to charge me months after hos promise to continue free of charge; even as his refusal to enforce the agreement cost me thousands. When he sent me a bill I reminded him our agreement and said I knew about refusal to file on my behalf. Stay away- Paul, in my opinion, is an arrogant misogynist whose ego is more important than your case- run, don’t walk!

I gave Mikayla an unbelievable amount of evidence, and updated on issues throughout the 2 years of my divorce. She failed me on so many levels. She submitted documentation with incorrect information. She didn't know opposing party evidence was relating to, as she told me in the middle of my hearing. She failed to ask the pertinent questions during questioning that would have been a game changer. I would never hire her again. This isn't a bash for all because my case came out bad, I got what was most important to me, but she cost me thousands of dollars in back-owed support as well as assets that she never accounted for.

Carla was a horrible attorney for me! It was in 2011 I came to her with threats on my life from my husband and seeking a divorce. Her assistant Catherine MacCarthy did ALL the work and answer all my questions, Carla was sick but never was apologetic in her absence as my attorney. I didn’t receive what I should have because she wasn’t willing to stand up to my husbands attorney. I decided to see if she was still an attorney even, when I read all these nice reviews and had to get my truth out there.

If it were not for Carla's help, I'm not sure I would have the life that I share with my daughter today. Navigating the waters of a custody case are overwhelming and scary. Carla handled a fairly complicated divorce for me. She was very well prepared in court, often several steps ahead of opposing counsel. She had answers to their questions before they knew what they were going to ask. She took care to ensure what was best for my son and leveraged a combination of negation and the courts to deescalate where possible. This ultimately brought us to settlement in what, by all measures, could have been a contentious and messy process. Above all, I felt like she struck just the right balance between being legally and strategically acute, while still compassionate to the emotional difficulties of divorce. She often asked me of how my son was doing, with honest concern, and clearly wanted to help me achieve a peaceful and fair outcome. I certainly have no plans to get divorced again, but I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a family attorney.

I was wrongfully accused of a crime while other lawyers told me to take a plea I went to Leonard and he took the case to trial. Although the county had several witnesses against me , Leonard was able to get to the truth and I was found not guilty. Leonard's work on the case saved me and my family.

A public defender can get you a plea agreement for free. When you have an attorney that doesn't know and doesn't care you are in more danger, than you realize. Just because an attorney has been in business for 20 years, doesn't mean he's done any good work. Especially where a trial by jury is concerned. Ron lost a simple trial with zero physical evidence against me and because I mistook him for a qualified lawyer, I'm in worse condition financially and criminally than if I'd never met him our if I had actually hired the other Ron in the office that I had gone to meet with originally. He put in no effort. Had no ideas, had no courtroom presence, tried to plead me relentlessly though I was and am innocent. People have thousands of choices. Don't make the same mistake I did.
