Service was terrible. I used the attorney because my employer had a "significant savings" built in. My assigned attorney missed all the deadlines and put it all back on m.... minutes before the court hearing. Nothing got filed, I had to start paying child support because nothing was contested by my lawyer, and of everything you would hire a lawyer for, nothing was done. Even took a couple emails to to confirm to have him resign off my case as my representative so I could start trying to redo everything that should have been done already

Despite paying for their services in full, they mishandled my case by submitting incorrect documentation, leading to delays and unnecessary stress during the visa process. To make matters worse, they demanded extra money beyond the agreed-upon contract amount, claiming it was for unforeseen circumstances—issues that should have been anticipated with proper diligence.
Their lack of accountability and professionalism was evident throughout. They acted as if they were providing a free service, despite the significant fees I paid. Instead of acknowledging their errors, they attempted to mask their mistakes by blaming and suppressing.

Let me tell you what a wonderful lawyer Amy Weis is. Amy helped navigate me and my two young sons (with the assistance of a wonderful guardian ad litem, Kerry McCormick) through an ugly custody battle and divorce in 2010. I credit Amy with my two now grown sons being happy and successful young men-she and Kerry kept those boys with their Dad. Fast forward over a decade later, and I needed some information from the divorce settlement for tax reasons. I left a voicemail for Amy, and had a response with all information I needed emailed to me with a nice note within an hour. Amy was so skilled throughout the entire process, and obviously keeps incredible records. And, most importantly, she cares. What a wonderful attorney.

I usually do not write many reviews, but I was compelled to do so based on the great experience I had with Weis Law Group. I was going through a BAD custody battle (relocation case) involving my 2 year old son at the time and was initially recommend to Amy Weis by a family friend who is also an attorney. He told me Amy is one of the best in Ohio so I was excited to contact her about representing me. Once I reached out, I was told that Amy could not take my case (I do not remember the reason why, however I want to say it was because she was mainly handling divorce cases and my case did not involve a divorce) however I was told that her partner David could represent me. At first, I was extremely hesitant to work with David for many reasons. The first being that my family friend had highly recommended Amy, had no knowledge of David and his experience and lastly with me being a woman and a mother I was honestly unsure if David would be able to resonate with me, my situation and represent me the best way possible as the other Male Attorneys I had consultations with prior seemed to favor fathers.
With that, I had a consultation with both David and Amy, they were both very knowledgeable and I was told Amy would partner with David throughout the case and I felt good moving forward. I am absolutely thrilled with the exceptional legal representation provided by Attorney David in my relocation custody case and I could not be more thankful that Amy partnered me with him. From the very beginning, I spoke with many different attorneys both male and female and was informed by other attorneys that winning such a challenging case (relocation) would be difficult. I was told that the magistrate assigned to my case does not like relocations and hardly granted them and they expressed doubt in the outcome. However, David displayed unwavering confidence and expertise throughout the process. He went above and beyond to come up with creative ways to prove what would be in the best interest of my son.
One notable aspect of working with David and the Weis Group, was their understanding of my financial situation. Attorney Benjamin Luftman represented me back in 2017. Im leaving a review now because back then i wasnt aware of how helpful and important reviews were and over time as i learned how important they were ive just forgotten to leave a review. So i feel i should leave one now. So. Back on topic. Mr.luftman represented me back in 2017 for allegations that were made against me and without going to deep into detail what i will say is Mr.Luftman and his team were very kind. Answered any questions i had and were just the absolute best. While searching for an attorney i only wanted the best and this law firm was on top of the list. Even to this day. Years after everything has been said and done with the case in 2017 he continues to answer random questions down the line with the utmost honesty. Whether i like the answer or not. He doesnt hide anything. He was reasonably priced. He will be the one i turn to if anything shall happen in the future though i hope i may never have to call him again. I highly HIGHLY recommend turning to Luftman, Heck and associates should you need legal services. One other thing i will add is if you need lawyers for different situations if he doesn't handle your type of case he has nothing but the best recommendations for other law firms and has connected me with yet another top lawyer dealing with family matters. Outstanding Divorce/Child Custody Lawyer – Highly Recommend!
My case involved a divorce with children, filed by my ex-husband who lives in Ohio, while I reside in Minnesota. Despite my ex-husband and his lawyer insisting that the case should include child custody and be handled in Ohio, Catherine, who was well-versed in child custody laws, raised a key issue: under the UCCJEA (Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act), Ohio did not have jurisdiction over the children. The opposing party continued to push for a trial involving both the divorce and child custody in Ohio, even though this was legally improper. Ultimately, Catherine and I prevailed, as it was determined that Ohio lacked jurisdiction over the children under the UCCJEA. As a result, the divorce was finalized without any decisions made about custody, which would be addressed in Minnesota instead.
I am so grateful for the exceptional legal support I received from Catherine during my divorce. Going through such a difficult and emotional time was incredibly stressful, but she made the entire process so much easier to navigate. From the initial consultation to the final resolution, Catherine was there every step of the way, providing not only expert legal advice but also compassionate support.
Catherine truly understands the emotional complexities of divorce and handled my case with both professionalism and sensitivity. An Unstoppable Advocate – Kia Fights for Her Clients!
I cannot say enough great things about Kia and the incredible work she has done for me and my children. From the moment she took on my case, she was relentless in ensuring that every detail was handled with precision and care. Litigation is never easy, and when things took a turn for the worse, Kia stepped in and made sure that my paperwork was solid and in my favor.

I had an odd situation where I ended up with visitation/ custody issues with my ex who ended up being a sex offender. I went into court the first time and didn’t have an attorney and got taken advantage of. Arianna ended up being in the courtroom when this happened to me. Andrew helped me with a divorce and a later custody issue. He's a straight-shooter that tries his best to actually resolve the issue as quickly as possible with the best outcome for everyone involved. He also does his best to try to keep things from spiraling into unnecessary tangents and side-issues in the case and keep everyone focused on getting a resolution.
I also like that he's direct and blunt - he'll let you know if you're making things worse for yourself and help you get back on track.
But - above all - he actually cares about his clients and the process - I never had to worry about him missing court dates or deadlines or turning in half-baked motions or written responses. He always checked in with me before anything important was happening and always made sure I was aware of everything that was happening through the process.
I'm hoping that I never have to use his services again, but I'm happy he's just a phone call away if I do.

Let me just say I have had at least 10 attorneys for a multitude of matters. I know what it’s like for an attorney to just show up and charge hours but barely know your case. Attorney Nunez is exceptional she prepares exhibits to help create a successful outcome. She prepares and gets insight ahead of time and also a few days before hearings/trial and makes adequate time, so she is kept abreast to represent you fully. Did I mention her professionalism and poise? She worked on two cases for me and both ended up being success stories! All that I truly wish is their were more attorneys as passionate as her out there!
