I am very happy to leave a Super Review on this firm. Hands down this is best law firm in Denver Metro area. I had a personal injury case pressing the statute of limitations of 2 years from a car wash accident. I called this law firm got a hold of Trent in September 2023 with a February deadline he literally and his staff got going on this case ASAP. His staff and Trent found who the insurance carrier was from Car wash fast and talked
To all witnesses. This law firm is honest snd sincere they made sure the client got more than the law firm and Trent and his staff were amazing to work with. They always communicate with the client and update do not hire the famous TV Attorneys call this firm before you call any other Attorney you will be amazed my case settled just recently and i would have never done this without this firm. Katherine Reckman represented me in my divorce and she was very fair and steadfast through my proceedings. My ex husband chose very inept representative which derailed his case. In the end, he trusted Katherine to write up our agreement which he eventually signed. Divorce is ugly and stressful and in Colorado, you need someone who can negotiate with the other side to keep the cost down. Katherine did that and was able to do it with empathy. Highly recommended.

I found Terri when I was traumatized, alone and incredibly scared. She and her paralegal, Traci, held my hand through the process and helped me find a therapist, which ended up being a real life line for me. I highly recommend this firm, and Terri Harrington, specifically. This was the best decision I made during a very overwhelming divorce process. I hired Terri the week before my scheduled mediation, as the previous lawyer dropped the ball significantly and I had to fire him. Terri and her team were incredibly communicative (for example, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a reply), empathetic, knowledgeable, and quick. Having no experience in this field at all, I was pretty terrified when I was shown to be at fault for a car accident. The entire team was excellent gave me a lot of information helped me to remain calm, and on the day of Katy in particular went way above and beyond the call of duty to help facilitate me reaching the courthouse on time. I was very impressed on every level with this operation.
Oh, and they significantly reduced the amount of trouble I was going to get into! Well worth the retainer.

I hired Spencer Kotnik to represent me in a disability lawsuit. Unfortunately, my experience with him was extremely negative. He seemed uninterested in my case and spent significant time rambling during our meetings. Despite multiple requests, he failed to improve his communication skills, which was particularly frustrating given my own disability. I no longer trusted Spencer or his firm, so I consulted with another Denver lawyer who took the time to review everything exchanged during the process. She encouraged me to ask Spencer specific questions, which he ignored until two days before my deadline. She agreed that he missed a few key points, was all over the place, and " his communication is not his strong point". Working with Spencer and his team left me stranded, frustrated, and unheard. I would not recommend their services to anyone, especially anyone with a disability.

It very much felt as though Mr. Laurence had his mind made up from the very beginning as to how things should be. He was direct and somewhat stoic in his interactions. Despite explaining situations multiple times, his synopsis had inaccurate information and assumptions. I would not recommend using his services and was very frustrated and disappointed.

I had been representing myself pro se for several years against my son's father who eventually became my husband. From the beginning of our custody case when my son was born to years later when we were filing to end our marriage and custody changes he had threatened getting an attorney every time there was something he didn't agree with. However, we would always show up to court by himself, as would I, and we were always able to come to an agreement and were able to work things out without any representation. Once he entered a relationship with someone else, things got ugly and spiteful and she found and paid for him to have an attorney. I consider myself to be a very intelligent person and have usually been able to find whatever I need to in order to represent myself fully against another individual. In fact, friends, family and other people have often wondered why I never went to school to become an attorney myself. I had several attorneys even tell me that they were impressed by how well prepared I was before a court hearing. However, I know my limitations. I will never get overconfident.
My intelligence also tells me when I need to rely on the experts and not lean upon my own understanding. That is where Laurence comes in. My ex finally retained an attorney and after weeks of trying to find an attorney through my pre-paid legal plan thru my job, which proved useless, Laurence consulted with me, reasoned with me, gave me the facts, and told me what to expect. Not only was he able to get a continuance in my matter so that he can represent me to the best of his ability, he gave me peace of mind that he was there to represent me and that he was not there to play any games. Even though we haven't been to court yet...( still pending) everything that he as said he will do, he has done. Everything he has expected to happen has happened. There have been no surprises. I consulted with him a few years back and he told me that he didn't think I would need an attorney and I didn't. He could have taken advantage of me then and tried to convince me to hire him even though I didn't need it at the time and that resonated with me. I had consulted with at least 7 other attorneys before him this time around. Not because they didn't believe I had a case, but because it was around the holidays and the end of the year and many attorneys didn't want to take on new clients so close to the end of the year. I remembered how forthcoming he was with me before, so outside of my legal plan, I reached out to him. He didn't disappoint. I'm still not sure what the future holds in my case as we still have to prepare for the hearing, however, just the fact that Laurence was willing and able to give me the time of day, willing to take on my difficult and complex case at the end of the year, around the holidays, and sympathetic to my situation, gives him an A+ in my book. He was sympathetic, understanding, and very knowledgeable. In the end, its not about just trying to stick it to the other party. That is not my goal.
It is what is in the best interest of my child. For that, I will be forever grateful to him and his team. I would definitely recommend him. As long as you are straight up, honest, and forthcoming with what you want out of your case, he is the one to call. I'll definitely update my review with any outcomes, whether they are in my favor or not. I truly believe that as long as he represents my needs and the needs of my child, and goes to bat for us and does it to his fullest, even if it doesn't work out completely in my favor; that is not a reflection of him and his abilities. I will still give credit where credit is due.

Carla was a horrible attorney for me! It was in 2011 I came to her with threats on my life from my husband and seeking a divorce. Her assistant Catherine MacCarthy did ALL the work and answer all my questions, Carla was sick but never was apologetic in her absence as my attorney. I didn’t receive what I should have because she wasn’t willing to stand up to my husbands attorney. If it were not for Carla's help, I'm not sure I would have the life that I share with my daughter today. Navigating the waters of a custody case are overwhelming and scary. Carla handled a fairly complicated divorce for me. She was very well prepared in court, often several steps ahead of opposing counsel. She had answers to their questions before they knew what they were going to ask.
She took care to ensure what was best for my son and leveraged a combination of negation and the courts to deescalate where possible. This ultimately brought us to settlement in what, by all measures, could have been a contentious and messy process.
Above all, I felt like she struck just the right balance between being legally and strategically acute, while still compassionate to the emotional difficulties of divorce. She often asked me of how my son was doing, with honest concern, and clearly wanted to help me achieve a peaceful and fair outcome.
I certainly have no plans to get divorced again, but I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a family attorney.

First of all, I would like to state that I am somewhat familiar with lawyers. I have been in business 19 years and during the course of that time I have engaged many attorneys for mergers and acquisitions, financial counseling, legal disputes with the State of Texas, HR related matters, contract negotiations, and litigation. Having said that, I am not an expert nor a novice.
In19 years, I have never worked with a legal group that is more disorganized, incompetent, and ignorant of basic financials. What is apparent with this organization is they focus on the billing more than the service. I am not one to argue fees provided there is a demonstration of competence and integrity. Unfortunately, you will not find it with this firm
It would appear that the Dadvocates and Samera were once competent and respectable if you look at the reviews. However, I would encourage you to look at current reviews. Most are quite poor and this should discourage you from engaging with them.
I sincerely hope that this law firm considers these reviews b/c they have fallen from grace and should seriously contemplate dismissing Samera and her team.

Harris Law Firm has done a wonderful job on my divorce. I would like to thank Kim Gent and her paralegal Maureen McAllister for all the hard work they have done. Dealing with the back and forth with the petitioner and their attorney and really paying attention and handling the responses from the petitioner, her attorney. I was really glad that Kim and Maureen got them to settle out of court to where we wouldn't have to make an appearance. I am still working with Kim and Maureen because there are some other things the petitioner still has to sign and get notarized. I like that they still want to help until every little things are completely done. Even though the divorce is over and I don't want to have any contact with the petitioner, and they understand that.
