I hired Colleen for a divorce, and during the initial consultation I was told everything I wanted to hear in order for her to get my retainer, then it all went downhill from there. I do not think it is ethical for attorneys to make false promises to clients, and have no accountability for poor performance. Colleen was never on time for a single appointment we arranged, and it was clear that she took on more cases than she could handle to maximize her revenue, even as it diminished the quality of her legal work. I would go into hearings having no idea what was going on, as there was inadequate or no preparation at all. In the end, I was coerced into a settlement agreement I did not want to sign, with Colleen complaining beforehand about collecting more attorneys fees, and her not wanting to do a full day hearing. You'd honestly be better off representing yourself.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, knowledgeable, honest attorney than Colleen. She is the one person you want in your corner fighting for you in some of the most difficult situations attorneys have to navigate. I retained this firm to handle a case involving a snowboarder who injured me as a result of recklessness. I'm out of state and got the recommendation from a partner at a well-known local firm, who indicated that Levanthal Puga Braley is the best of the best in Colorado.
My experience was excellent. Very high degree of professionalism and respect for what I prioritized in the process and the settlement they obtained for me. Exactly what you want in these situations.
My case took more than a year to complete, and all along the way there were many legal details and strategies I never would have figured out on my own that this firm was expert in. They also interfaced directly with my medical insurance company which was convenient for me.
I was extremely well represented by this firm, and would recommend to anyone seeking legal expertise after a ski/board injury or other related matter.

Charlie did a great job trying to defend my case. Although the DUI did not get dropped, he did get my careless driving dropped. DA was not budging on jail time. Danny stepped in at my last courtdate, and was able to get me IHD. On that, I was thankful. I feel I did get my $'s worth from this team. They really do try to get the best deal possible. I would say I would use them again. However I will not need their services in the future. As I will NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. Colorado has become tougher through the years for DUI. The cost alone with everything involved is not worth admitting to having a few drinks and refusing Breathalyzer or Blood tests! If you are ever in this situation, call these guys. They are not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. It is worth having this team of lawyers by your side through this process.

Kathryn was a terrible lawyer.
I originally talked to Jenn on the phone and was impressed. I ended up with Kathryn, she did nothing but collect a paycheck. Took my case to pre trial for absolutely no reason, as I would’ve been happy pleading out early in the case. She was rude, condescending when spoken with, never responded to messages, I waited a month after requesting an updated bill to get a bill from two months ago. I wish I would’ve gone on AVVO and read the reviews of her.
Spot on!
Run as fast as you can from her representation. What a waste of time and money.

Looks like my review was unfairly taken down....guess this firm wants to keep my families experience hush hush. I TESTIFIED in court on behalf of my brother and the custody over my two nieces, we had two family meetings with Tyler plus I sent him a very long and lengthy email in November of 2023 that he never replied to yet charged my father $350 to read, which I don't believe he even read my email. So if this firm is trying to claim my review is not valid because I didn't hire Tyler myself they are incorrect!!! I was a part of this entire journey so for Google to take down my review after this firm reported it is not OK as I was involved with this case from beginning to end.- so here is my review again!!!! ZERO stars!!!! My father and brother hired Tyler Lambert to help my brother win his custody battle with his two young daughters. Tyler many times was very hard to get in touch with and would ignore phone calls over and over again. I kept telling my dad and brother that they needed to hire a new attorney because Tyler did not have my brothers best interest at heart. I wish they would've taken me a little more seriously however they felt they had invested so much money in him already that they stuck by him. Tyler showed no evidence in court to help my brother out... We submitted text messages, social media posts, conversations, photos of our family over the last 16 years with my brothers daughters, etc...Tyler used none of it in court. He had so much proof on my ex sister in law and how her attorney was blowing everything out of proportion plus evidence that could have made my brother's ex look really bad and prove she's a liar - but Tyler provided none of it and when they were claiming untrue statements about my brother he didn't object, not one time!!!! Tyler told all of us that were testifying on the stand that we needed to "be nice" and say "nice things" about my ex sister in law and that we should NOT provide any family photos as this judge doesn't like seeing family photos. Meanwhile the other side TRASHED my brother and they also showed a ton of photos - clearly Tyler's advice was the worst we could have taken. The end result were my nieces moving away with their mother to Illinois and pinning my brother as a bad father. He's an amazing father. He just has a bitter and scorned ex-wife that wanted to hurt him so badly that she used her own children for leverage. Do not hire Tyler if you are going through a custody battle with children... He does not care and will not show proof and documentation of what you give him to help your case out. He basically collected a paycheck and nothing more. Now my brother's daughters are in a fatherless environment because he failed to do his job properly. James Cordes provided terrible advice. His drafting was sloppy and required extensive redrafting by opposing counsel, and he advised me to take a terrible deal. Because of James, I am taking home a fraction of my income. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how bad it was until firing him and employing new counsel. He is a nice man, but a bad lawyer. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before it was too late.

Do not hire Patrick Fitzgerald. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. Mr Fitzgerald will make deals with the DA that you did not approve of and use your case against you to make you feel like less of a human being. He will criticize, curse and hang up on you if you question what he is doing and why he is making deals without your consent. Absolutely horrible!!

Katherine Reckman represented me in my divorce and she was very fair and steadfast through my proceedings. My ex husband chose very inept representative which derailed his case. In the end, he trusted Katherine to write up our agreement which he eventually signed. Divorce is ugly and stressful and in Colorado, you need someone who can negotiate with the other side to keep the cost down. Katherine did that and was able to do it with empathy. Highly recommended.

She and her paralegal, Traci, held my hand through the process and helped me find a therapist, which ended up being a real life line for me. I'm a big believer now in the collaborative approach, and I ended up spending far less in litigation costs and got through the process quicker than anyone I know in similar circumstances. I highly recommend this firm, and Terri Harrington, specifically. This was the best decision I made during a very overwhelming divorce process. I hired Terri the week before my scheduled mediation, as the previous lawyer dropped the ball significantly and I had to fire him. Terri and her team were incredibly communicative (for example, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a reply), empathetic, knowledgeable, and quick. Terri caught up on my case in just a few days, and she made me and my case a priority by responding to emails swiftly, walking me through the process and what to expect, and being clear on what was needed from me, and what their role was. I just recently referred Terri and team to another person, and would do it again and again.

Having no experience in this field at all, I was pretty terrified when I was shown to be at fault for a car accident. The entire team was excellent gave me a lot of information helped me to remain calm, and on the day of Katy in particular went way above and beyond the call of duty to help facilitate me reaching the courthouse on time.
