My divorce was a very difficult time and I was grateful that I was represented by Lawrence Behrmann. He prepared me for every step of the process and made sure he knew what my goals were and what was most important to me. He knew when to counsel and when to listen, and provided timely advice on a personal level in a manner above and beyond what he was paid to do. He was very available and there were many problems that I encountered after office hours that he was able to counsel me through in a timely manner. He was very judicious in the use of his time, and saved me a lot of money by knowing what was important to do and what things did not need to be researched more. He was able to finalize a very contentious divorce by requesting the right information at the right time, and that information allowed me to have more time with the children. I have referred another friend to him and he had an experience similar to mine. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a strong, compassionate and caring attorney.

Ms. Kamal was the answer to my prayers! She's the best family law attorney I have had in 13 years. I wish I had hired her earlier. She knows the law and legal technicalities and embarrasses the counsel by just quoting the actual law and rules. She is highly knowledgeable and compassionate.
Her attention to detail and ability to control the situation set her apart from others.
She was blunt and honest about my situation. Though that was not what I wanted to hear, she didn't give me any false hope. She represented me on two enforcement cases and oh boy! She got both lawsuits dismissed on the basis of legal technicalities. She lifted such a huge weight off my shoulders. She and her team was very persistent and strategic to helping me get the best possible outcome in my situation.
Ms. Kamal and her hardworking team do so much at the backend when preparing for a hearing, leaving you at ease. During a very difficult time - it felt good to know this team was working on my behalf and did their utmost to make the outcome in my favor. I can't recommend her enough!

I was recommended by the EAP (Employee Assistance Program) for Federal Employees. I had a very complicated situation for my divorce due to my spouse being a non-citizen and in another country. Her vast knowledge has been very sharp and made sure I got the best in the end of the mediation.
Not only did she work hard to make sure every dollar count, she fought for me during my struggles of the Government Shutdown. When I was tight financially, she was willing to work out a payment plan. She made sure that I understood the process and the rights of both parties and the custody.
Although she is straight forward and to the point, she is one of the most compassionate lawyers I have ever worked with. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help in Family law and Immigration. Faizon Told The Insurance Company That I needed to have surgery to get more money and I never received it. I Told This to Mr.Barton and He Said That I signed for the wrong Amount Anyway. The Address That is Given For Tis Firm is not Their address They Only Receive Mail There. I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THE CECK THAT INSURANCE SENT THEM AND IDID NOT SIGN IT. No communication on their end whatsoever. Even when you text the paralegal who is handling your case, they never respond. They lie when you ask about the status on the case. The paralegal who is working on my case said she emailed my provider’s office and that was a lie. She said she left several voicemail and that was also a lie. I then proceeded to ask her to fax the request. She said she would do it the next day and never did. I would not recommend this firm at all!

Save your Money & your time! I see all the 5-star reviews and I am completely shocked. They had to of been written by his staff. I reached out to Bruce and his staff to work help support an immigration case. His office provided no guidance other than how to pay my invoice which I did. I constantly had to send emails to the point of making demands or threats. NOTHING was done with the case other than the request for more money. Good Luck and be careful!

I'm posting this review a year after my case was dismissed (11/23) because, I'm just now encountering the issue. Jim is great, his team is alright. Communicate was difficult sometimes. When I initially talked to him I felt confident and happy with what he was saying and his experience in law- that I would get the results I wanted. He did however make it seem like it would be OFF my record as I have a CDL. I've been in the plants/refineries oil n gas since then. (They never said anything about my background, I assumed the case was gone) The work is great money- Except you travel a lot and have no life. I'm looking to switch into something more local so I can have a life again, and found that the case is still on my background after I thought it would be gone. So, this unfortunately is still effecting me, as a CDL holder. And my impression was it was going to be OFF my record, and he spoke to my father as well, and my father got that impression too. So, just ask your questions thoroughly and precise. Especially about EXPUNGEMENT. (Means completely off your record, no trace of it). And research multiple lawyers too.
While I was happy with the results at the time (assuming the case was off my record), I'm just disappointed now. It was a long and trying time, and now I have to wait another year to get it officially expunged. And spend MORE money. So just a honest review and heads up for CDL folk. Note: He is still a good lawyer to have in your corner, just make sure the communication and understanding of what you're getting is crystal clear.

Grant Scheiner was recommended to me by a friend when I found myself needing an Attorney. I was being charged with a felony and would soon be arrested. I was terrified and at a loss as to what to do.
