I initially hired Ms. Edede to review a contract for an entertainment project I was considering entering. Ms. Edede was extremly prompt in reviewing my contract and negotieded a better deal for me. Going through a divorce, you will feel empty as you watch your life fall apart. It's isolating and embarrassing all at the same time. The people that once encircled your life start to disappear for a while; distanced if they do speak to you. There's hardly not anything more alienating than that position. Larry is a fantastic lawyer. I'm sure there are more "crafty" or cunning lawyers speckled throughout the whole marketplace, but it is in these times that you will need someone to be your companion along the way. Too many lawyers treat you like the transaction that you are to them. That's not what you want. For your mental peace and your healing process, you will need someone to not only defend you in your battles but give you the guidance on what's coming up ahead. The most important thing about Larry is that he answers you, and he answers with such clarity. In my experience, he was so much more than fair that it just seemed like things were too good to be true with him. Don't even think that for a moment. I hired Matthew Knox to handle my divorce while stationed in Japan. My case began as a simple divorce and property distribution but later changed to a custody case for my daughter. He quickly changed strategies and developed a plan in which he advised me on actions I needed to take while in Japan and when appearing in court in Houston for the custody hearing. My husband and I have been inundated with custody proceedings for years. We have been using Laura Dale & Associates for years now with great success. Recently, we have required their services and Laura teamed with her associate Matthew Knox. Matt's intellect was immediately apparent. He is extremely detail-oriented and was able to elucidate the details of our case as if he were truly living it himself. His petitions, pleadings and responses were elegant. I worked Mark on a case against a home builder with access to a big war chest in tune of $millions that dragged on for about 2 years. His research and understanding of the case was exceptional. He knew page by page of thousands of documents. He treated the case like he was the actual plaintive.

John Grubb is that rare mixture of honesty, intelligence, integrity and wisdom. In working with John I knew that he would do everything he could to get the best possible outcome for my children's future, and for me after being a stay-at-home Mom for many years. I have 3 children and one of them is special needs. John procured for us a judgement that will allow me to continue to be available to take care of all my children well beyond the typical alimony allowance and one that will provide lifetime support for my special needs child. My case was complicated, communication with the other party was difficult, and it went to trial. Throughout the process, Mr. Grubb and all the associates I worked with in his office kept me up to date, answered all my questions, explained the processes thoroughly, were sympathetic and honest, and respected my wishes regarding things to be revealed during the trial. There are many attorneys who know the law, but I wouldn't trust my future to anyone else in the courtroom.

Mr. Neel was recommended through a friend and has been a pleasure working with to spearhead my immigration process. Ivan was very honest and very comforting during our initial meeting. He explained clearly how the process would play out and any alternative options just in case.
He worked tirelessly on our case and always delivered on a timely manner. He is very intuitive and it shows how he manages any set backs. It certainly displays his mastery of the craft.
Although he does have a very demanding schedule, all questions and phone calls were promptly answered. He also has a very polite and knowledgeable assistant that always went out of her way to go further than expected.

My partner and had our children ripped from us without warning. It was a complicated and not a common case for any attorney - especially in a conservative state and city like Houston, TX. The odds were stacked up against us from the moment our children were taken away from our home by the other party. One lawyer we consulted with told us straight up and forward, " You will not win. She will win; but you can try and give it a shot". This partcular lawyer had 25 years experience in family law. Needless to say, we were not surprised. We understood this case wasn't for any everyday lawyer. Our case required a skilled, talented, and confident lawyer. A lawyer with a combination of experience and natural ability and skills set to work this case.
From the moment we initally spoke to Ashley, we knew she was the one!
Ashley took a complicated, unique and challening case that most lawyers would shy away from. Ashley said it would not be easy, but believed we could win our fight for our girls.

Marjorie is a no-nonsense, compassionate professional. She goes above and beyond to get things done and does it with such gusto you wonder what that tornado was that just passed you in the hallway!
An ugly divorce with a psychotic ex-wife and a beautiful child that was being used as pawn, she was filing for full custody.
Marjorie stood by our side, gave us the best advice and represented us even on occasions that we were unable to appear in court, due to being out of state.
We maintained custody of the son, we now have our legal visitation and even though we still have to deal with the psycho ex-wife, we keep it to a minimum and enjoy the time we have. We can't thank Marjorie enough for all the effort and determination she put in to help keep this family together.
And to add to it all, Marjorie is a lovely person with a beautiful personality. A real Texas spirit!

Marjorie is smart, compassionate and caring. She knows the law and is experienced in all aspects. I have worked with her the last 3 years on two separate cases and she impressed me greatly. Most family law cases settle out of court and she has great expertise in mediation and settlement issues. Although, Marjorie impressed me the most in the court room. I am a contractor for medical testing. A company I worked for owed me for testing I had done over a period of several months - but refused to pay. I tried over and over to work it out with them but they still refused. Finally I told them I would have to take legal action, to which they replied fine, we'll see you in court. Their attorney sent me several legal documents including a demand for the small claims court judge to drop the case. I didn't know what to do. I was afraid I would lose several months of my income. A friend of mine referred me to Byron Barclay.
Mr. Barclay was a great relief. He took the stress of dealing with the lawsuit and their intimidation away from me. We moved the case out of small claims into the big arena, and I was no longer on the defensive. Mr. Barlcay continued to press them for information and to justify their refusal to pay, all the while keeping me apprised of the situation and asking how I would like to continue. In the end, the company settled the case out of court and I was able to recover my lost wages in full. I want to thank Attorney Remington for successfully representing me in a recent citation case. I was worried when I received the citation, but Remington put me at ease from our first meeting. One word to describe Remington is.....AMAZING! My husband and I hired Attorney Remington Alessi. He isn't like most Attorney's. From the first day we spoke to him about our case to the very end. He was extremely professional, attentive, very knowledgeable and honest. He knows his stuff! He isn't arrogant, but confident! It's a reason he is named "Texas Chainsaw Lawyer" lol. I love the fact that he isn't pushy. He doesn't make you feel like you are getting on his nerves, and he always had an ear to listen. He truly makes you feel like you matter! Anytime we needed to call him, he didn't make us feel like he was so busy and rushing us off the phone. He wasn't like the saying " Money is time". He listens and is compassionate and caring. I hired Tom Nixon as my attorney to handle a slip and fall case. Although it took longer than expected before my case was settled, I wound up with a much better settlement than I thought was possible. There was a lot more paperwork involved than I expected. I was told in the beginning that my case was not worth a lot of money, then suddenly, the business was offering to settle my case. It wasn't really explained to me why my case went from being worth very little to suddenly being worth more money. However, when it was over I was please with the settlement. I thought the mediator picked for the case could have been nicer, although he settled the case.

I hired Lashon in late 2014. she actually listened to what I had to say. My court date was fast approaching and I thought I was in a great deal of trouble. From the first consultation with Lashon she stood up for me with the opposing attorney and advised me to continue doing what I was doing and leave the rest to her. I then received a summons to appear in court because my ex-spouse wanted me to give up total control. Well Lashon had something to say about that. When the court date came not only did Lashon get my ex-spouse to admit that the children had never missed an event that she had planned, the judge took about 5 seconds to deny opposing counsels motion. It took everything I had not to break out into tears in front of the judge. Then she took the time to talk me through the process after court and told me what to expect next.
