I highly recommend attorney Furman. He handled my daughter's case carefully and confidently. He spent nearly two hours with us in person after an initial phone consultation. He treated my 14 year old with respect and established a report with her that was truly remarkable. He helped her (and me) understand the process and what to expect. He answered all of our questions; at no point did I ever feel like he was in a rush to get to his next case. He kept us informed every step of the way.
Attorney Furman was passionate about my daughter's case, and did an excellent job advocating for her. The result was a favorable ruling in the case. When all was said and done, I found the cost to be extremely reasonable. There were no overstated hours charged, no unnecessary expenses. I would gladly have paid 3 or 4 times the fee for the level of service Attorney Furman provided us.

After meeting with a few divorce lawyers I was left with a cold feeling. I felt they didn't care about my case unless i was paying them. I met with Sandy and he was very informative. He pointed out things in my first Separation Agreement draft that my ex wife's lawyer drew up didn't protect me. I hired him on the spot. He went above and beyond to make sure the final separation agreement was fair and made the most stressful time of my life seem less stressful. My soon-to-be-ex-husband and I worked with Donna for a few months to mediate the terms of our divorce agreement. From the beginning Donna was warm and empathetic, yet always professional and extremely knowledgeable. She explained everything to us as she went. When my STBX and I disagreed on something, she was able to help us through it without taking sides, and again with empathy yet also with professionalism and expertise. She also brought in an expert on tax law to work out an alimony plan and a formula that would adjust alimony as our income levels fluctuate over time. Attorney Itzkowitz represented me in a federal suit I filed against some major American corporations after I was raped on the grounds of an American owned hotel in the Cayman Islands 20 years ago. The case was poised to be a truly landmark case on many levels. At the zenith hour to the trial, it was settled out of court for a sum that helped me regain my life and belief in justice. I was literally homeless and had become disabled by my physical and psychic injuries. As the aforementioned ex wife, I highly recommend Carol. She was extremely professional while my ex was being his typical narcissistic, cocky, know it all. She found a way for him to actually pay for his son instead of tacking it on to his ridiculously large child support arrears from other children. It's unfortunate and sad that I had to get a lawyer in order for him to pay half of day care, which he brings him to everyday he has him and half of my son's health insurance. These are things any Dad should agree to pay for while having 50/50 custody. For anyone dealing with a manipulative narcissist as an ex, Carol will go to bat for you. I'd gladly spend the money again in order to get my son taken care of and moving along the divorce that lasted way longer than it should have while my ex leeched off of my health insurance and delayed the divorce for months. About 8 years ago I was referred to Teresa by an adoption lawyer I had used. During my first experience with her, for my divorce, I was able to email, phone, and meet in person with Teresa. As someone who appreciates walking through the hows and whys of the legal aspects of divorce, custody, and child support, I believed Teresa was quite adept at explaining not only the law, but how parties work to settle separation agreements, especially when children are involved.
Since that divorce, I have reached out once or twice with simple questions regarding my judgement and have received prompt answers. Recently, I filed a modification and Teresa proved, again, how much value she brings to a not entirely pleasant process. Teresa was professional, adhered to court and legal processes, remained collected, sympathetic, knowledgeable and firm throughout the settlement process. Again, she always takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions.
While I hope to not need more legal services (!!), I am certain that Teresa will always be THE lawyer I turn to.

Teresa helped me out when I needed it most! It was by luck that I found her but she was a true blessing. She helped me through a very painful and messy divorce. She was understanding and very responsive. I can't thank her enough! When my wife wanted to change everything, only for her benefit not my child's; Teresa helped me realize that the courts always do what's in the best interest of the child not necessarily what a parent wants. She was extremely knowledgeable about children's issues. My child has a disability and she went the extra mile to help me gather documentation and information that would be relevant to my case. As a father I was generally concerned that the courts would automatically grant my wife full custody. She is a true advocate. When I was stressed and angry she helped me stay calm and focused. My divorce was not contentious, but I needed someone to look out for MY interests, after my now-Ex retained a lawyer and tried to pass him off as a mediator. I don't think there was any mal-intent going on, but I needed to make sure MY interests were being preserved.
She listened to my desired goals, where I thought there could be some negotiations, and she handled it from there. It's a stressful time, and was glad she was there to help me through it all. The outcome was as expected.

My divorce process became more contentious than I originally anticipated and Patrice provided excellent guidance throughout while efficiently managing my legal costs. I hired Karen to handle my divorce. A divorce, in and of itself, can be a very trying experience. It is a lengthy, time consuming process, with several emotional highs and lows. It requires a good line of communication, which Karen provides, to allow for the appropriate strategic approach to each of the the significant number issues that arise. Karen helped me manage and stay on track with my divorce. She is knowledgeable with various aspects of asset division that involves stock options, buyout of marital property, health insurance, IRA, etc. Without Karen, I could have easily lost out in this process. She is caring and sensible with the emotional ups and downs of a divorce--probably due to her background in clinical psychology--which helped me stay cool and focus on the tasks at hand, which was to get the divorce finalized as quickly and as fairly as possible. There were times that Karen would work after hours and over the weekend when there were urgent documents to review and edit, not because I gave her the pressure, but because she recognized that we had momentum and cooperation from the other side and should just get it done and over with. She paid great attention to details with documents, with careful edits that helped protect my interests in all aspects. I have had several divorce lawyers throughout the years and by far Attorney Grossman has been the most competent and trustworthy of the group. Given our past history with bad attorneys, my wife and I started out slowly to get comfortable with Attorney Grossman and over a short period of time it was clear that she was very good at what she does, provides excellent advice, listens to her client's desires, and works constructively in a resolution. We handed over the whole case to her. She isn't a hot-head as many attorneys can be but she deals with these hot-heads in a very decisive fashion but in a calming way.
