(I left the screen and lost my nearly complete review. Here's another attempt.) I appreciated how Ron educated me on the dissolution process. I appreciated that he understood my desire to come up with the most fair, cost effective legal dissolution possible. He was accessible as a person. He has an excellent paralegal who is timely and attentive in her assistance. Divorce is a very painful process. Ron was sensitive to that fact given his decades of experience. He provided the excellent legal services I needed which made it as easy as possible. I have recommended Ron to others and will continue to do so, if the opportunity presents itself. Mr. Ousky represented me as my divorce attorney using a collaborative approach. After 28 years of marriage I was faced with divorce which was a very stressful and mostly an "out of body" experience. I had a one hour consultation with Obi Chukwu to have him review a joint petition for divorce that my wife and I had drafted. He had a lot of great suggestions as to how I could improve the language in the joint petition. He knew that this would be a one-time session, but he was committed to making sure that all my questions got answered to the best of his ability, even though that meant going 15 minutes over the scheduled time. To Obi Chukwu, I was more than a client; I was a human being. If I ever need a lawyer again in the future, Obi Chukwu is going to be the first person I turn to.

I called A LOT of different lawyers, law offices and law organizations to try to find the best lawyer to help with the I-130 immigration process I was going to begin. Obi was by far the most responsive, accessible and honest attorney I found. His price was also fair. I scheduled a one-on-one consultation with him and he was friendly and knew the material very well. He also offered to help me without charge if other questions come up in the future in relation to my situation. I strongly recommend Obi to anyone.

Before I hired Willow my divorce was never-ending and a complete nightmare. I was almost 3 years into it and being taken advantage financially and custody wise. I needed a top -notch attorney on my side and Willow not only delivered, but she exceeded my expectations. She managed to settle with the opposing side outside of court and avoid impeding trial! How could I describe the acrimony of my divorce? Hmmm? Maybe as a dumpster fire, wrapped in a train wreck, placed inside an asteroid hurtling towards Earth. In other words, everything about my divorce was nightmarish aside from my dealings with Willow Anderson. Willow managed to secure for me a miraculous settlement under truly difficult circumstances and, throughout the long, hideous process, she helped me keep my spirits up. It’s one thing to have stellar legal chops. It’s something all together different and extraordinary to have empathy and humor alongside professional skill. Willow Anderson has both in spades.

My husband and I have been seeking for the right advice on our complicated and very disturbing case for the parenting time and the child support matter for my 11 year old son. The final order that we've received recently has quiet a few errors and an unexpected order from the judge for my summer parenting time with my son, that we both were extremely dismayed due to the time and enormous financial pressure imposed on us after a long and seemingly very biased procedures with the court. After talking to dozens of laywers including superlaywers in Minnesota, out of desperation, I looked at AVVO site one more time, and Mr. Whelpley caught my eyes with his 40 years of experiences in various fields of expertise. I called him hoping that he would be different from all the other laywers who gave me the same brief advice. Mr. Whelpley, not only gave us the entirely different approach from all other lawyers, but also was more than willling to listen to me and talk to me way longer than I usually expect from lawyers in general for an initial consulation. He did not push me timewise nor was reluctant to give me the poignant reality check on the judge(s) in a very calming way and on how I should proceed when facing a difficult situations with a judge. His advise was very wise, calming, and also very 'strategic'. His military background also helped us a lot due to the unique situation that we are in as a military family, which was completely ignored by the court. Mr. Whelpley was the only lawyer who was more than willing to listen to you and give you the new perspective on your case WITHOUT hurrying you to "finish-the-phone-call-and-hire-the-lawyer(me)-immediately-if-you-want-to-talk-more" kind of way. Jim Whelpley is a very good Bankruptcy Attorney. It is definitely his calling! During the process of my filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, there was a point where I was feeling very sad and over-whelmed and I started to cry. Jim gave me a book to read that listed the names of people throughout history and their lives who had filed bankruptcy (many of these people were people we admire even today!). That book made me feel a lot better! I also appreciated Jim's sense of humor. He has kind of a dry sense of humor (sort of like Johnny Carson) which is very funny and very often helped to lighten the mood. Jim has definitely found his "niche" as a Bankruptcy Attorney, and I am grateful for his expertise in helping me find a peaceful life!

Eric has been my attorney since 2008 when I initially went through my divorce. I retained Eric Parker's services for a custody and child support dispute over my son. I could not be more pleased with the service I received. Throughout a brutal divorce battle, I almost walked away in defeat several times. It seemed like an impossible Catch-22. But Amanda had my back, and she wouldn’t give up. Her amazing skills and strong sense of justice prevailed, and we were able to get a fair settlement. By the time I was ready to hire a lawyer, my trust level was zero. My volatile emotional state was off the charts, and my life was in free-fall. I knew I had a right to claim my share of the property, but I was too exhausted to fight or negotiate any more. I’m forever grateful that I found Amanda. She seems to have a laser-tuned ability to cut to the chase, seeing through manipulations and refusing to get distracted by red herrings. Her legal advice and assistance has been literally life-saving. I don’t know how she does it, but I’ve felt more compassion and support in our very short, business-like correspondences than I’ve felt from many friends. I had been divorced for about 10 years with two kids & had joint custody of them. I've since remarried, and then my wonderful wife & I were expecting our first child together. Around that time my Ex-wife tried again for the 3rd time for custody changes and lost again, so a new Parenting Consultant Janeen was appointed to our case. Suddenly my world was turned around when I lost over 85% of my time with my two current children based on the new PC's decision, even despite an extremely thorough Custody Evaluation being completed weeks before clearly recommending that changes should not be made to our 50/50 custody...and that it would cause more harm if changes were made. My close personal friend (who's also any attorney) new my situation was very complex and had highly recommended Amanda. Before meeting with Amanda, I thought it was a better choice that I consult with more expensive attorneys ($450-$750/hr) and those with at least 20 - 30 years of experience. The two other attorneys I consulted with were very stunned & nearly speechless after reviewing all of the Court Orders and then the 8 or 9 PC Decisions made over a period of maybe 12 months. Yet they did not felt that I had a strong case to overturn the Judge's or the new PC's Decisions and to have the PC vacated, as this was a very difficult & rare task to accomplish. I then decided to meet with Amanda. After she reviewed my case, she didn't make any guarantees, but said that she felt we had a strong argument based on the, "facts of the law". That gave me enough confidence to proceed. After filing our first motion, Amanda was able have the Judge allow our case to be reviewed again. Several months later we had our hearing. We ended up winning our case and the PC was VACATED! The PC Janeen had also been found to be in violations by the ADR Ethics Board. But the fact that it was all about having my two other children back made it one of the biggest successful events of my life. Amanda was so detailed, thorough, and very understanding of my entire case. She was also able to help me communicate more effectively with my Ex-wife so that it was more productive as opposed to me only being angry from her constantly being overbearing and trying to control things while I had time with our children. I can't say enough how grateful I am I have Amanda by my side. She is and always will be my family law attorney until my kids turn of legal age. I highly recommend her and would vouch for her should anyone need a reference...

A colleague recommended Meshbesher & Spence to us and we were glad he did. Gus Nicklow represented us with our automobile accident claim. Liz filled in on my case when the attorney I had been working with for years was on maternity leave. I was reluctant to work with someone new because my case was cumbersome and overwhelming, but Liz far exceeded my expectations. My case was very emotional, as most family law cases are, and Liz offered compassion and integrity that I had not seen in the courtroom before. She is bold and detail orientated. Liz did a great amount of research for me on my case and I felt confident and calm with her representing me. She responds to emails and phone calls very quickly and has been very patient with me, taking the time to explain every step of the process in detail. Truly, I was proud to be represented by Liz in these matters, and without hesitation, I would recommend her to my closest friends and family. Jill Anderson did a great job on representing involving child support and spousal maintenance errors in my original divorce decree. Jill along with her team was able to amend my divorce decree and correct the errors n the original court document. It was more than I could do and it was affordable, quick and professional. Jill represented me but worked with my Ex-wife to get all documents signed and sent to court to be notarized and finalized. I would definitely go to Jill for any family law matters in the future. Because Jill is professional, cost is fair, she is up front in consultation with procedures, cost and time frame.

I needed the advice of a bankruptcy attorney. An acquaintance of mine, a previous client of Brea, recommended her highly. I made the initial call for a first consultation, conveniently set for a Saturday morning. Her office is located near the U of M with lots of free parking. I liked that. Brea gives the immediate impression of caring, of being genuine. We sat and talked. I explained my situation, that I had not yet decided to file for bankruptcy as a solution. She asked questions with a professional focus and efficiency and never once pressured me to a decision. I left comforted with the tools needed to start a petition if I so decided. I took a rather long time to file. Brea kept my creditors at bay. My questions were always answered quickly by phone, text or email. Her directions were always clear and accurate. In the end a court date was established. Brea met me at the court location, the court session minutes brief. We all know each client case is different, but in my case I wish to note that my legal fees were very modest, quite below my expectations. Now, in reading the reviews here, I see there is a consistent Five Star Theme. These Stars are earned. Please include mine. Kudos to Brea. Thanks for being a Good Human Being.

It's been several years since my bankruptcy, and I've come to consider finding Brea to be one of the many blessings from God in my life. She volunteers her time at a free bankruptcy advice clinic, and when I met her there, I was extremely impressed by her combination of knowledge, compassion, and sincerity. Thankfully I had already spent a lot of time shopping around for a good bankruptcy lawyer, so when I met Brea I could easily recognize how amazing she was in terms of her personality, competency, and her fair pricing. Brea was a true advocate during the bankruptcy process. She knew everything we would face, and she thoroughly advised us on it in advance. She never cut any corners or rushed us through things, instead she invested real, quality time into making sure we were coming through the bankruptcy in the absolute best way possible. On top of that, she stuck to all the laws and procedures and never even hinted at doing anything dishonest or halfway, which was important to me. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of representation you will receive from Ms. Buettner-Stanchfield. I have referred several of my family and friends who unfortunately found themselves in a similar situation to the one I went through, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Adam represented me during my very complex and contentious divorce 6 years ago. He always acted in my best interest, and made sure I felt seen and heard throughout the arduous process. Adam listens well and acts in good faith. He told me once that 99% or all lawyers give the 1% of lawyers a bad name. I laughed. He is right. My experience with attorneys is that they only care about the money and could honestly give a damn about your problems or the impact of those problems on your life. I was victimized first by my mentally ill ex-wife and then, eventually, by the legal system itself. Many people defend our legal system as being the best in the world . . . if my personal experience has anything to say about it then the rest of the world is in a lot of trouble. Our legal system is a mess and if a judge gets something wrong--or fails to review critical evidence in your case--then you will not be happy with the result. There are corrupt child custody evaluators that work divorce cases in Minnesota. My case featured a child custody evaluator that shouldn't be able to determine the custody of lab rats much less two beautiful children. My children are currently in grave physical danger as they are presently ingratiated to a known criminal personality that the judge (based on a recommendation of the child custody evaluator) chose to allow my children to have continued access to this person. The reality is, however, that Adam Terwey did his job and represented me to the best of his ability. I do not blame Adam for a terrible decision that was engineered by a corrupt child custody evaluator. Adam continues to watch over me and offer a variety of services beyond the scope of our original agreement. He does this because he genuinely cares about my family. Very few lawyers are willing to do this for their clients. I am grateful for Adam's representation and thankful that I have an attorney that cares about something more than just money.

I am a Transsexual woman and hired Mr. Arems Dilaveri for my attorney to fight an unwarented stop leading to charges of a DUI. Mr. Dilaveri showed me a great deal of respect during our consultation and showed charicter that I had not seen in other offices. I decided to hire Arens Dilaveri not only because he was reasonably priced but also presented a very strong presense of confidence. After he completed his discovery. He felt confident that my case had a good chance of being won. After some delay from the prsecution and an accident in which the arresting officer was injured I had my first hearing almost a year later. Mr. dilaveri discused his stratagy with me and allowed me to be prepared for questions from him and what whould be expected from the prosectors. He was calm and confident and it put me at ease even with being on the stand. During the hearing he was very persistant and deliberate in his questioning. He was able to keep the officer and the prosecution therein on the defensive throught the hearing. He was able to establish fact out of a situation that the prosecution tried to make seem hear-say in reguards to my testomony. HAsking the questions of the officer that allowed the future questions be me to be allready established as a situation that was most likly. After the hearing he was reassureing to me about how the days events had gone. He typed up the writen argument that he submitted to the Judge over two weeks earlier than the prosecution submitted theres. He kept me informed of the situation. Roughly a month after the hearing I recieved an E-mail from MR. Dilaveri that I had won my case and it had been thrown out. With all evidence being suppresed due to the nature in which it was obtain was not legal. I would recommend this attorney to anyone needing someone to fight for them in court. He is quick, smart, tactful and extremely respectful. I not only recomend him because he allowed me to clear my name but because of these traites. I had offered him this high of regaurd for his work for me before the case was even finalized.

I was referred to Pat Buss for my divorce. I was nervous and in a difficult spot emotionally as I was filing for divorce and my husband refused to get an attorney. Pat put me at ease during the first meeting. She helped me organize my thoughts and paperwork (as I had to do everything for the divorce) and was my advocate during the entire process. After the divorce there was a glitch in a piece of real estate (county recorder issue) and Pat was there by my side to help with that as well. She is a caring person who connects with her clients and an excellent attorney who "knows her stuff." Pat can be firm when she needs to be and will fight for her client. But also know that she has a heart of a mediator and will work to that end as well, if that is what her client wants. I would highly recommend Pat Buss!

Kyle represented me in my high-conflict child custody case. When I was served with divorce papers, I needed to find a lawyer who could not only protect me legally, but also help me make decisions that would preserve my young daughter's happiness as much as possible. A trusted coworker referred me to Kyle, and I was relieved to find that he had much knowledge and professional experience in handling cases similar to mine. Kyle demonstrated a sincere interest in helping me with my case. He explained the pros and cons of various ideas I had, and answered my questions completely in terms that I could understand. He embraced and encouraged a mediation process, led me to an incredible mediator. He was there every step of the way during a process that would have been daunting without him. I really don't think I could have picked a better lawyer to help me with my child custody case. Kyle was just amazing. His knowledge of child custody cases and procedures is unmatched in my opinion. He was able to put all of my concerns to rest and again, his expertise in child custody cases made me feel so confident in how we addressed my case which also made for no surprises throughout the process. He was always very response and available almost anytime when things came up and was very easy to get a hold of, promptly returning calls and emails. *Revised October 2019* I ended up retaining Ms. Lutz again in July 2019. Yet again Ms. Lutz fiercely advocated for the best interest of my family and I. Ms. Lutz gave a very accurate, tenacious, passionate pleading to our Judge that resulted in the legal matter being ruled in my favor. I first came to Ms. Jacquelyn Lutz of Appelhoff, Pfeifer and Hart in October of 2016. It was definitely the worst time in my life and she compassionately spoke with me about my options. Ms. Lutz thoroughly explained the laws, statutes, process and what to expect going forward. What was supposed to be one case, turned into three intricate cases that took a huge toll on me and my family. Ms. Lutz represented me in court on all three cases with a vast knowledge of the laws and how to proceed accordingly. During all three cases she kept me informed, calm, gave me resources to utilize, and (most important) gave me a realistic view of what may come next.
