Where to begin, I would most definitely recommend Mr John Horton to represent my friends and family. Mr Horton communicated with his colleagues and the Judge effortlessly. He listened to so many of my phone calls, when it appeared that I was worried or simply sick and tiered of this process, he would explain to me in detail why certain things would need to happen or steps we needed to take for the results we wanted, he's brilliant!!!!!! I also appreciate his ability to organize every detail, he always responded to my emails or phone calls promptly. Mr. Horton worked very well in my divorce, which was not easy and very drawn out. He stayed pushing my wishes for the divorce and also fought to make sure it was fair. I never had to deal with a paralegal also dealt with him directly. Very satisfied with his services.

With 4 restaurants in Nashville, the need to have someone of John's calibure is important to handle some of the dealings that I have to go through regarding legal situations. There is something to be said about having a competent attorney handle stressful situations for you. My wife and I were in dire straits, difficulties with our relationship and financial issues, all because of a timeshare purchase that had the appearance of a sound investment. I have used Judge Penny Harrington over the past seven years for several very difficult cases important to my family. She handled one over a four year period involving me obtaining Temporary Custody, Guardianship and then the Permanent Guardianship of two of my young grandchildren. Even more difficult, we were later able to terminate Parental Rights and I was then able to adopt them as my own children. More recently, she has again proven her expertise as these same children were step-parent adopted by my same-sex husband, the first case of its kind in the state of TN.
I have always found Penny to be highly professional, an expert legal mind who thinks very strategically about how every case is positioned and have nothing but high praise of her. It is obvious to me that she is highly respected by both the many judges and lawyers we have dealt with in two different counties.
She will also be preparing my estate planning documents in the next few months as I continue to use her services.

I hired Ms. Jackie Dixon in a partition lawsuit and she did an excellent job representing me.
Partition lawsuits are becoming more and more common across the U.S. in large part because Millennials and Gen Zers (aka "Zoomers") are simply not getting married but buying homes with their significant others (or buying property together before they get married). This was the case for me, and Ms. Dixon knew what she was doing.
Ms. Dixon was calm, detail-oriented, responsive, and extremely organized. Most importantly, she was compassionate. Ms. Dixon is knowledgable about various areas of family law, and knows her way across the courts in Davidson County.

Less than a year ago how is facing some pretty serious charges in two separate counties simultaneously. Joshua was referred to me through a mutual colleague. Several court appearances I was tardy, tired and less than holding up my end of the deal yet still he prevailed. Unfortunately I had an incredibly prolonged divorce. I hired more than one attorney to represent me. My biggest regret is that I did not call MS Jesse Morris first. Jill is extremely educated and trained she has worked with the best she is very well versed in her profession of the law. She did the impossible for me. The state of Tennessee does not give annulments normally but Jill was able to convince the court that I had grounds under the law and my annulment was granted. I have used Mrs. Baxter on three or four different occasions for family law issues. What you get is REAL answers. Some lawyers tell you what you want to hear, just to get you into court and run your costs up. What I received from Mrs. Baxter was real expiations of what my chances were of gaining what I was looking for. She has worked in the court system for so many years she can tell you what the judge typically does, or she sometimes will tell you that you would just be wasting your money if you perused something. WHAT a lawyer that tells you that you don't need to spend money! Real life means that all issues are not clear cut, that's why you need someone like Mrs. Baxter that you can trust. I also appreciated that Mrs. Baxter is a mother and has handled split family issues within her own family. Give me someone who has dealt with the same issues that I'm going through and that opens up a whole new avenue of trust. I also have to say that her prices were very fair for her work. I'm no longer dealing with any issues and have moved past that stage of life, but if anyone came to me for advice, I would have no problems sending them to Mrs. Baxter.

We don't know what we'd ever do had we not known Nick Bailey. He put away 3 vicious parasites including one that pointed a weapon at my two children, and shot me. 22 years later we needed him again when one of the criminals came up for parole. Ms. Johnson is in my opinion one of the best lawyers I have ever had. I was involved in a horrific car accident that was initially deemed my fault. I was the victim of a "stopping short" scam. Without any witnesses to support this claim I thought there would be no way i could prove it. Ms. Johnson was able to bring in the right people that could prove my case. She was extremely thorough and sympathetic to my situation. When I realized she had only been a lawyer for just over a year, I couldn't believe it. After experiencing a very complicated legal battle, I was taken advantage of by another prominent attorney. I had consults with other area council prior to Mr. Leonardo, and they told me there was nothing I could do, and I was looking at a loose-loose situation. Mr. Leonardo returned my call within 24 hours and got me in to see him the next day. Any further correspondence was also very prompt. Mr. Leonardo was extremely knowledgeable about the law, and provided me with various strategies and scenarios to assist me in making an informed decision regarding a course of action. I followed his recommendations and was able to diplomatically resolve a 3 year battle in less than 48 hours. Even more importantly, he saved me 50K. Mr. Leonardo was on point with everything he said would happen, and I could not be more pleased. The only regret I have, is that I did not obtain his services from the start.

Max assisted us with the custody of our Granddaughter. She was with her mother and not being well taken care of. We went to Max and he assured us that we were doing the right thing. WIthin a matter of two days Max had presented the judge with our documents and they were signed and back to us in a day. Max has been such a Great help. I was charged with felony 6 child abuse/neglect, with all my life (career, family and potential deportation if convicted) on stake, I desperately needed to win this case.
Steve was retained to represent me in this case. He delivered the best outcomes I could ever ask for. First, we won the preliminary hearing and the case was dismissed by J&DR court. However, the Commonwealth did an indictment and the case went to circuit court for Jury trial. For the second time, we won and the case was stricken by the court at the trial.
I highly recommend Steve with no reservation based on my personal experience. He is very competent with big expertise in cross-examination (he asked brilliant questions), highly skilled in presenting the case to judge and Jury, fully prepared by studying similar old cases, very strong in closing statement, and most importantly, he cared for his client and fought hard to win. I have never got myself in legal trouble before this, and I know how anxious and painful the ordeal is. First of all, he was quickly responsive. When I arrived for consult, he took his time to explain in detail some things that a prior attorney didn't. He seemed concerned, knowledgeable and logical. He offered different ways to assist me, at very reasonable rates. He seems to take his job very seriously, and he's very down to earth & easy to communicate with. My case was not a very large one, and several attorneys had already said it was too small for them to consider. Mr. Rossman was a god-send for me.
