The Firm was hired for a divorce. Didn't seem to feel like they fought the case for me, just went through the motions. Then bill after bills. Felt like i was not a client but a place where they could keep asking for money. Never got a real breakdown. Even went back to them after divorce for advice on child support and all they wanted was retainer fee. Not saying I dont understand about retainer fees, just feel like the divorce ppwk wasn't detailed enough where i have to keep going back to pay for any adjustments. Should have nail all that down in the first place. Guess 40k- 50K not enough for them.

She's Family to me now! Even 9yrs after my case! She got me custody of my 3 kids, and the stipulations to my divorce, custody, visitation rights for the other party, and child support setup anyway we felt fit per the judge, in the most minimal and I to the day possible to complete the case! Amanda let me know up front what we were dealing with on the divorce. She never gave me false information or never told me what I wanted to hear Amanda always told me the truth from the very start even if I did not want to hear it. I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I thought she was great and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'd definitely recommend Tara.

I am so pleased with Ms. Hawley. she is concise, and is truly knowledgeable in her profession. As a woman handling my Mother's estate I started out with an attorney that kept raising the fee. I had to find new legal counsel after my first lawyer's lack of experience became painfully obvious the first time in front of the judge. In my search for a new lawyer, Lewis Williams came highly recommended, and he made an immediate impact.
My (now) ex-wife’s lawyer was loud, rude, aggressive, and willing to present half-truths and outright lies in the courtroom. (My previous lawyer didn’t stand up to her, but just wilted.) After I hired Lewis, she became much more civil and showed him immediate respect. (He told me he had beaten her in the courtroom before, so that was a good sign.)
My ex-wife worked very little during our 18-year marriage, had an affair, and faked a brain injury in her attempt to gain disability benefits. I had copious amounts of evidence for all this. Unfortunately, Tennessee state law apparently cares little about morality and ethics and mostly looks at income vs. need. Thus, I was vulnerable to paying extensive alimony due to my income and the length of our marriage. Lewis encouraged me to settle, even though he told me he would make up to $30,000 in more legal fees if we went to court. I was amazed at his honesty and integrity.
On a side note, he is very prompt at returning emails and works through weekends, holidays, and even when he’s sick! There were times when I thought, “He needs to rest.”

Attorney Casey Elrod handled case. This was my first experience at this, so I wasn’t definite with how everything works. He answered all of my questions and throughly explained the process. Mr. Kuhn's service, attention and knowledge far, far exceeded my expectations. He was referred to me for help with my divorce, and made what could have been a horrific process extremely tolerable and as low-stress as possible. He explained everything in extreme detail and made sure I was comfortable with and understood every step in the process. Mr. Kuhn was kind to explain what things could be done ourselves instead of through him in order to save money, and charged an extremely reasonable retainer for all of the time and attention I received. Will was my attorney and Sarah was my paralegal, but not the entire time. I started out with a different set and wish communication between the transition was better. But besides that I appreciated their hard work towards my case. I had to get an attorney when my insurance was not taking into consideration my medical bills and injuries. I remember the day I was referred to Mrs.Gordon I was in a very dark space, 100% depressed, and ready to just give up. Mrs. Gordon listened to my concerns and situations. I had multiple child support cases that were very expensive causing me to constantly fall behind. Not to mention I suffered a major injury yet bills and child support continued to pile up. I came in to speak with Mrs. Gordon about a case of mistaken identity on a DNA test. She was extremely understanding and very empathetic about the whole situation. When it came time for court we spoke briefly then she spoke with the judge. When she came back to speak with she informed that I would have to take one more DNA test and she explained my situation to the judge. She assured me that this would be the only time I would have to take another one. Fast forward to the next court date and after the judge does roll call and spoke with the clerk she tells me everything has been dismissed and I'm free to go.

I was maliciously attacked by a room mate that knew ways in which to manipulate the boundaries of the law for his personal spite towards me. Having been referred to by a neighbor I sought out Mrs Gordon for legal help after this room mate filed a false order of protection against me. Upon meeting and reviewing my case, I had instant confidence in her ability.
