My husband and I hired Jennifer to help us with custody of a child that we’ve had for 3 years that wasn’t biologically our child. She was very helpful every step of the way. Our case was definitely an unusual case considering the child wasn’t biologically ours and we weren’t sure how to go about getting custody but Jennifer and her assistants definitely worked right by our side through the whole process. Jennifer is 100% honest with you from the start, she won’t pursue something if she isn’t sure she can’t win it for you and she will tell you that. She’s a very intelligent, genuine person. We now have custody of the child and he’s in a safer place with people who can love and care for his every need. I highly recommend Jennifer Hammonds Davis if you ever need an attorney.
I can’t leave out the girls in the front because they were definitely always welcoming and was doing everything they could to assist Jennifer and us through out this process. They’re all so sweet and you always enter the office with welcoming smiles.

It is my pleasure to write this review, as I’ve been in a custody battle since my son was born. 3 years, it took 3 years to get full custody, but Jennifer even seeing my story and knowing all of the truths and seeing the evidence for herself, knew there were laws to follow before we could get my son and I to where we are now. She stood this case out with me, she informed me of all of the law changes (laws have changed drastically from when I was a child), and the chances the opposing party were entitled to before we could fight for my son to the fullest. She was very knowledgeable, very organized, on top of things for every court appearance, kept me in the loop of things, how they would go, what it was that was happening the day of. She never walked into court without being ahead of the game and well prepared to fight this for and with me. Their firm stayed on top of my questions, always reached back out to me with any concerns I had, and literally just made sure I knew that my concerns were valid. No, they can not just jump straight to a conclusion for you, but they will fight for what they know is right in all aspects. 1000% recommend Jennifer for a family/custody lawyer. Very empathetic, she’s watched my son grow from birth to 3 and was just as concerned for him as I was. Always asked how he was at appointments if he was not present with me. She felt like family. Someone who is on the outside, watching what you’re going through, but never fails to show her genuine concerns. She was proud of the young man my son was turning out to be and could notice the mothering that was provided to my son through these times. Again, highly recommend the Davis law firm for any of your family needs. They will not let you down. Things may not happen in your timing, but they will not fail you. They know the steps that must me taken and the laws that have to be followed to get you where you need to be.

My daughter received a traffic ticket and being from Chicago who do we turn to for help and guidance. We received a number of letters from local law firms but Farmer &Morris Law stuck out to us.
Gabrielle and Alexis worked with us through the very difficult issues because of the Pandemic. They suggested Megan take an in person driving class, but we couldn’t find any locally in Illinois because of the lockdown. On top of that Megan then needed to go to Florida for 4 months. How to prepare a case the court would accept?
Well they worked overtime to find a Florida class that was acceptable and communicated with us regularly. The outcome was positive and we are appreciative for their help and guidance.

Hiring John Painter is one of the best decisions I have ever made, truly worth every penny. He is not only incredibly smart, but very quick on his feet, exceptionally creative, but the value of his experience becomes clear once you see him in a courtroom - this man has seen it all and I can't say how important that is in these cases. Mr. Painter is a kind gentleman when you meet him, but don't let that fool you - he is a true bulldog and will put every ounce of sweat and effort into fighting for you. Mr. Painter left no stone unturned - challenging every point, making strong and legitimate objections (and repeating those as they came up again), pinning down witnesses and ultimately presenting some very novel legal arguments I don't think other lawyers would have tried or thought of. As I waited for my case to be called on trial day, I saw several attorneys defend their clients with mediocre arguments or otherwise simply accept guilty pleas, every single one of them being found guilty. Statistically for NC, that is what I would expect and I was preparing myself for the same. Mr. Painter had mentioned a novel legal argument when we first met, and I wasn't sure it would work but I also didn't expect an attorney to try something besides settling and hoping for the best sentencing outcome, as I believed my case was fairly clear cut. I blew way over both on scene and at the station, it wasn't particularly close. I am sure I would not have had the same outcome with another lawyer - not guilty. Mr. Painter follows every witness closely, taking notes that he uses to create a timeline that he somehow manages to refer back to with an uncanny ability to process all of that in his head in real time. Mr. Painter put on a truly remarkable performance, challenging every point made by the state, repeated objections that arose and came up again (one of which the state seemed to even acknowledge had put their case in a bit of a bind, and it certainly wasn't an obvious one I would have realized - and this wasn't the first time Mr. Painter had brought it up), and not leaving anything on the table for the judge to consider in favor of conviction without challenging its merit. Mr. Painter handled my case for three years, and kept me from making court appearances until the time was right. I was ultimately found not guilty, 100% due to this man and I feel (as I have seen many others on here mention) as though I owe him more than the legal fees I paid (which were probably a bit higher than some other attorneys at the time, but worth every penny and looking back I would have paid more). What an incredible relief when I had all but accepted that I was likely to be convicted, potentially having to wait several years before the asterisk on my record was removed (likely after the damage was already done). Do yourself a favor and go talk to Mr. Painter in order to put yourself in the best hands possible; you won't find his level of skill in another attorney and the consequences are too great not to.

I have used John Painter twice on two family related criminal cases almost 20 years apart. Both times I got exactly what I wanted. John listened to my situation and educated me on what my options were, John Painter billed me a very reasonable rate and kept me informed though out the process. Both times the cases were dismissed. Thats exactly what John said would happen. John has been a local criminal defense attorney for over 40 years. He not only knows everyone in the deck of cards he can pretty much predict what their going to do. He's been right every time. I hired Mr. Hudspeth as a Divorce lawyer. He explained everything in detail. He promptly took action. Kept in touch through email. My case took longer than planned but to no fault of Mr. Hudspeth. The Coronavirus closed the courts around the time I should have had my hearing. As soon as the the court system opened my case was pushed forward. I am very pleased with the outcome. Gray was amazing!! He was always professional, informative and patient. He went above and beyond in explaining the process and constantly fighting for my best interest. Paul was great to work with. A friend recommended him to me and I would recommend him to others as well now. I had a simple separation that didn’t need to go to court. He was excellent in guiding me as to what I should fight for and what wasn’t worth fighting for since the court wouldn’t be able to enforce it anyway. It kind of confuses me when I read bad reviews about this lawyer like he was reading paperwork in a car, etc. etc. I think people need to realize that sometimes disorganization can occur when someone is first starting up a new business. He is not like this today. He works with a team of professionals and they all accomplish a lot. If you have ever observed ants building a hill, bees in a hive, or wasps on a mission you will know what I am talking about. His team is very productive. He is a good leader and a great communicator. As far as his prices "being too high," well that is what happens sometimes when starting a new business. Over time I'm sure his prices will have gone down and will go down more but until then he's like every other human being just trying to make ends meet. Lawyers are human beings too. We had a few of our ups and downs but honestly I was grateful to have hired a lawyer who tells the truth. I never got mad at him for telling me the truth. I only got mad when he assumed I didn't know the truth. Kind of like that phrase "Hey tell me something I don't know." I know I need help. Lots of people do. However, there are better ways to express your dissatisfaction with something than telling me something I already know and sending that email of your confrontation to everyone in the office. Maybe some of his staff can help him with learning how to word things better to clients. I feel like his staff have helped make him into the success he is today. Great work ethic combined with team work and excellent communication among him and his staff provide for a speedy job and you get your money's worth. He just needs to research better ways of communicating with clients and when something bothers him he needs to voice his discontent immediately versus holding it all in and letting it build up over time. When you hold things in and then explode it does not look good on you. It makes it look like you can't handle yourself. If you can't handle yourself because of emails how will you handle uncomfortable emotions in court? That's all I'm saying. I hope his team goes to court with him because, like everyone else, he needs help.

Hired Bryce to handle a child support termination. He did an amazing job of communicating directly with me via email (only talked to his staff to pay the bill). This is very rare! Most attorney’s barely talk to you and 90% of your communication goes through a paralegal.
In addition to be a great communicator, he did a great job of preparing and arguing the case which resulted in a victory. I’d hire him again; no question.

I am writing this letter to recommend Will Medlin as a family law attorney. My case, as most, was complexed and messy. Will was simply amazing. Every turn of event and every time I had any issue he was on top of it and always responded to my every question, issue, etc. even when I know he was not in the office! He was very patient with me and respectful in all aspects. He always prepared me for what I feel was 100% accurate. Many attorney's I have found will tell you what you would "like to hear," however this was never once the case with Will. I am very happy to have chosen Will. I found Alex by chance, and I couldn't be more pleased. My now husband and my two boys wanted to make it official and do an adoption. My ex was making it hard to do, even though he had not been in there lives for over 12 years and no child support. Alex didn't give up. He fought for us and got it done. The adoption is official. Mr. Shanahan was always very professional and caring. He listened to all my concerns about my case and answered every question I had. Knowledge and level of effort that are worth worth 4x what he charges. The guy worked twice as hard as my last attorney that literally changed me a retainer 4x what Mr Castle charged me. I can't say enough good things about this group of professionals. I know some will read this glowing review and think it to be a shill or fake review, but I dont care. I wont give this review any less than Mr Castle gave me in court.
I consulted with several attorneys before choosing The Castle Law firm. Mr. Castle was the only one that was willing to do the extra work and go the extra mile to get all the charges before I turned myself in. So I knew what I was facing before hand, to properly be prepared. That set the tone for the kind of service I received through out the entire case. Because of his effort he got me bail so cheap I could pay the bond without even going to the atm, then he got me a really great deal from the ADA. But I was dead set on clearing my name so we went to trial. The staff was always helpful keeping me updated and were easy to deal with. When the trial started I was able to see why Castle is known as the best damn trial lawyer in 3 county's. He stayed cool under pressure when the pretrial motions started. All the while I'm losing faith in the justice system with every motion the judge gives the prosecution. And the jury selection didnt make it look any better. By the time the ADA was done presenting the first witness I felt beaten. But not Castle. He reminded me, in not so many words, that it's not the luck of the draw the matters it's the way you play your cards, that count.
Once the state rested their case, Mr Castle began to slowly present his facts. Strategically shining a light on the holes in their case. With every question he asked you started to see a whole new picture coming to light. It was not long after that, I felt the tide begin to turn in our favor. As the fact pattern developed you could see he was in total control of everyone's attention in that court room, it was like a general leading the army to battle. The closing argument brought the different pieces together the way a conductor brings together the instruments of an orchestra. He gave the jury a chance to see and hear past the smoke and mirrors presented by a prosecutor that seemed to care more about winning than he cared about truth... the only thing I remember after that is hearing the judge say "Not Guilty"

On May 15, 2015 I was served with a child custody suit concerning my adopted grandchild. I was to appear in a NC court on May 21, 2015. I live in Missouri.
