Mr. Hafley was appointed to represent my son, Brian. When I spoke with him, his knowledge of the law was astounding. His knowledge of who my son was caught me off guard. I had the privilege of having John Hafley handle a Felony Evading case I was previously charged with. He exercised his knowledge of the law along with his professionalism to ensure that my civil rights were not violated and that the law was upheld. The arresting officer was rogue and unlawful with his detainment of my person. As a result of his actions ,the charge was dismissed during an Examining Trial due to Mr. Hafley hearing my side and presenting the facts that the officer would not. John Hafley's efforts, in my opinion, are second to none.

I had a complex large civil litigation matter already pending in a District Court in the area. The case was coming to trial and it was evident to me that the trial aspect required a different type of lawyer. Over a period of many weeks I observed every serious civil attorney in Sinton and Rockport and sadly was greatly disappointed in what I found. On the recommendation of an area business person I finally went to watch Mr. Thomas in action. This man is a natural in the courtroom. The jury loved him and when he had to get mean he was pure bulldog. Don't let all of the criminal law stuff fool you. This guy is a natural litigator whether criminal, civil or divorce. He came on board in my civil case which then went to trial. While not disclosing too much, our claim was on a promissory note which was for more than $3,000,000.00. On the morning of the second day, after he finished with the two principal defendants, they asked for a recess and the matter settled within an hour. At that point they were dead and they, and their attorney, knew it.

Andrea helped my wife and I change custody papers. She always was quick to respond to questions and advise. It was a really tough process since my wife’s ex husband was extremely difficult to deal with. Andrea also set up our wills and LLCs for our businesses. I hired Matthew Knox to handle my divorce while stationed in Japan. My case began as a simple divorce and property distribution but later changed to a custody case for my daughter. He quickly changed strategies and developed a plan in which he advised me on actions I needed to take while in Japan and when appearing in court in Houston for the custody hearing. His excellent planning and coordination worked out in my favor and resulted in my daughter returning to Japan. Matthew understood the challenging aspects of military life overseas. He kept me updated on every change during my case and ensured he was available for me to contact him on the phone, even with the 13 hour time difference. My husband and I have been inundated with custody proceedings for years. We have been using Laura Dale & Associates for years now with great success. Recently, we have required their services and Laura teamed with her associate Matthew Knox. Matt's intellect was immediately apparent. He is extremely detail-oriented and was able to elucidate the details of our case as if he were truly living it himself. His petitions, pleadings and responses were elegant. His use of case law was brilliant and irrefutable. Matthew had a great presence in the courtroom, but was also very down-to-earth and communicative with us personally. Todd was very diligent with my case and was able to get me a great deal with a prosecutor very unwilling to give me any breaks. He knows the system well and was able to use that for my advantage. He communicated with me about my case and helped me understand what would happen. He is very direct and straightforward which helped me not be as anxious about what would happen with my case. He is very thorough and worked hard for me. I would say he is a "must hire".

I recently hired Todd to represent me on a criminal case. I thought I was just going to have to go in a plead guilty and take my punishment but Todd looked at the case and realized some problems with it. He was able to get a plea offer from the DA for a lower offense. I was able to plead to that for probation and no jail time. Way better that I expected.
Todd always returned my calls and was quick to answer text messages for any questions I had.
Hopefully I won't need to but I would hire him again no question.

We were in a very sticky situation, and Mark got it settled satisfactorily. It was a real estate lawsuit where we were the landlords and the renters sued us. The settlement was 10 cents on the dollar and we were very pleased. We have recommended Mark to our friends and neighbors.

I worked Mark on a case against a home builder with access to a big war chest in tune of $millions that dragged on for about 2 years. His research and understanding of the case was exceptional. He knew page by page of thousands of documents. He treated the case like he was the actual plaintive.
After two years and a counter claim that could have cost us several thousands, the case settled out of court in our favor. We are highly grateful for his persistence, patience and knowledge thru it all.

This is truly the best lawyer anyone could ever get. My ex had already filed papers and It was Friday when I met and retained Steve. I had court the following Thursday. I was very skeptical as many are when getting a attorney. Steve worked quick and fast. He filed things promptly and quick. I would recommend him to anyone that I know. I am impatient and probably wasn't the easiest client to deal with. Steve was their every step of the way. He explained exactly what was going on every time something would happend and exactly what to do. If you listen and follow what he says then it will go in your favor as it did mine. My custody situation was exhausting and lasted almost 2 years. I got in the end exactly what I wanted. His prices were very reasonable as well. He has been a lawyer forever and has seen it all as he did in my case. I suggest be honest and straight forward and tell him what you would like your outcome to be and he will tell you what to do to make it happen. His assistant Lisa is the sweetest lady ever. If he was busy then she would call and let me know things immed. I couldn't say enough great things about these people and how much they helped my family and children out. Thank you again!

John Grubb is that rare mixture of honesty, intelligence, integrity and wisdom. In working with John I knew that he would do everything he could to get the best possible outcome for my children's future, and for me after being a stay-at-home Mom for many years. I have 3 children and one of them is special needs. John procured for us a judgement that will allow me to continue to be available to take care of all my children well beyond the typical alimony allowance and one that will provide lifetime support for my special needs child. My case was complicated, communication with the other party was difficult, and it went to trial. Throughout the process, Mr. Grubb and all the associates I worked with in his office kept me up to date, answered all my questions, explained the processes thoroughly, were sympathetic and honest, and respected my wishes regarding things to be revealed during the trial. Travers and Travers literally brought our family together. We had a rather unique experience, but Travers & Travers helped us through it every step of the way. We live in South Dakota and needed a referral for a lawyer in Texas. My sister is an attorney and asked around and everyone we talked to suggested Travers and Travers. I am so blessed to have worked with Samantha and Leslie. I was involved in a case requesting grandparents rights for my two minor children. Samantha and Leslie worked so hard to make sure that my kids had a voice and that what was in their best interest was the most important aspect of the case. Mr. Finch was assigned to me as a court appointed. He showed up to speak with me pretty fast. He knew his stuff and what he was talking about. My Story started back in 2013. After a long, anxiety filled time, David, Frank and Michael finally put it to rest with an outcome that was definitely worth it. I am extremely happy and grateful for the work and time they put into my case. These guys aren't the run of the mill lawyers out there, they work their asses off to get the best result that is possible. I interviewed a few lawyers before volk and mcelroy and I am extremely glad that I went with my gut and hired them rather than any of the others I had interviewed.
I received a great outcome due to David and Franks persistence throughout this matter. This is the firm I will continue to do business with in the future. If you have any doubts, go at least talk to them, you will not be disappointed! If you want a favorable outcome in your case, hire them!

When choosing the right lawyers to represent me only one group stood out as the correct choice and that was David Volk, Frank McElroy and Michael Volk. This was my 1st time needing lawyers and I didn't know exactly what to look for but they won me over from the start because I was really listened to and I never had the feeling of a client being sold on a product. Instead I felt like I was sharing my story with professionals who cared and believed me. I was in a tough situation since I was accused of a felony assault on a peace officer and the possible outcomes really scared me. David, Frank and Michael were realistic about the possibilities but were very confident about being able to help me based on my story. As a military veteran, a nurse and a father I had alot on the line and they never forgot about that and fought for my reputation and my career. I was always included in the process and advised whenever I had questions or doubts along the way. David, Frank and Michael knew that I wouldnt accept anything other than getting the case dropped or a not guilty verdict and they were right there with me and felt the same way. The case was not dropped and the case ended up going to trial. Although the whole process was new to me I was allowed to feel relaxed and confident because they talked me through every step and was reassured by their confident and professional demeanor as well as by their knowledge and experience. At the end of the trial I walked out of the courtroom more than satisfied after a not guilty verdict. Deliberation took about 30 minutes. It was very quick. They were that good. I hated being in the situation that I was in and I don't ever want to go through it again but Im glad I chose Volk and McElroy to represent me throught it all. They got me the outcome that I wanted and the one they said they would get me. I made the right choice and I would absolutely recommend others make the same choice.

Emma was referred to me when I was filing for divorce. What I noticed immediately was that she was honest and to the point but delicate at the same time. She was very aware that this was a situation that called for compassion but I knew that she was going to fight for my Son and I. She kept me informed and if and when I needed her she was there. My wife and I hired Mrs. Haw to make out our wills. Her rates were clearly published on her website and everything was very straightforward. She had us complete a comprehensive information form covering what we wanted done in the event of our demise, and then she constructed all of the documents. We then met with her again to go over all of the documents and she explained, in plain English, what everything was, what it said, and what it meant. This also included durable powers of attorney and medical directives in the event of our incapacitation as well. She was very thorough and professional in our dealings.

My ex-wife filed for divorce and then proceeded to try to have my family and friends removed from my kids lives. She made up numerous lies about me and even at one point attempted to sue me for a large sum of money in addition to the divorce proceedings. My attorney was Craig Lusk and not only did he disprove all of her bogus claims. He got the suit dropped and NEVER lost in court 1 time (we went to court about 8 different times). The proof is in the pudding...the last time we were in court was over a year ago yet my ex-wife is presently posting false negative reviews against Mr. Lusk. She is a very vindictive and angry person, even posting negative reviews against the 3 lawyers that fired her as a client. Her false review titled the "Worst of the Worst" (posted by Adrianna which so happens to be the name of my last girlfriend) Is a completely fake review full of false information. That review states Mr. Lusk sent his Junior Associate to court in his place. Mr. Lusk handles all cases himself and does not have this person in his office. I hired Mr. Lusk in 2010 and last went to court with him in 2014 and he personally was there every time.
Mr. Lusk is a very professional, dedicated, responsible attorney. He takes care of his clients...He is very good at what he does and if I had not hired him I would have not had the custody of my children that I have now and would have suffered more from her unethical tactics and deceit.
My divorce was very ugly...If you are attacked you need to protect yourself and Mr. Lusk can do that. He protected me so well, my ex-wife is slandering him 12 months after the case is over!

Things don't happen quickly in the courts but Craig is always on his A game when time comes to be before the judge.
