Absolutely horrible to work with! I wouldn't recommend her to anyone! Charged me $10,000 for a simple fill in the blank protective order document that was only supposed to take just a couple hours to fill out. She filed this document with false information despite me asking her to fix the mistakes. She was belittling and bullying to me throughout the couple weeks I tried to use her. It was so bad that I told her that I was thinking of using someone else for my divorce, and she got upset and dropped me for the protective order case which I had a hearing for just a couple weeks later. I had to quickly try to scramble to find a new lawyer and ultimately lost my protective order after having to spend even more money to try to get a new lawyer up to speed and to try to fix her many mistakes. Absolutely a nightmare of an experience! Do NOT use her!

If you're at the beginning of your divorce process you're probably a little scared and looking for someone who can give you advice and who you can trust. At first Emily seemed like she was exactly that and during my free consultation with her she came across as someone who would fight for me and protect me. I hired her thinking she was a high powered attorney that would get the job done, but in the end all she ended up being for me was a high priced attorney who cared more about getting paid than protecting my best interests. With only an 18 month marriage and a full pre-nup in place I should have had a slam dunk case, but Emily consistently dropped the ball and got caught off guard by my ex-wife's pro-bono freshman lawyer's antics and it cost me dearly. Emily's response to me everytime I'd get screwed was "well it could be worse" and she'd quote some other case she was working on that was a lot costlier. I never felt like she was in control or knew what she was doing, her communication was spotty, and she was constantly charging me to fix her blunders. Ultimately I felt like she didn't really care about me as a client and had more important things to worry about. With that said, I gave her a couple of stars because I guess she could have been worse.

I contacted the Ault Firm at the beginning of my divorce. I had already filed papers on my own and they reviewed them for me during our free consultation. They suggested I simply continue on that track, because I was doing well enough...But to call them if I needed them.
When I got cornered by the opposing party's legal counsel, Chris stepped in and handled my divorce case most professionally and with great courtesy. We had a brief court appearance, and the outcome, though divorce is never the desirable outcome, was the best that it could be.

I went through the worst experience of my life and Cory Wall was there every step of the way. He helped me through a terribly vicious and excruciating divorce to the extent I will not discuss here, but involved criminal courts, family courts, lawsuits, evaluators, trial and so much more. It would be safe to that Cory is an honorable attorney and an honorable human. Over several years time we corresponded through thousands (no exaggeration) of emails, dozens of hearings and long nights where we both emailed back and forth to get the job done to prep for court. He was respectful and sensitive to the demeaning and dehumanizing situation I was in for the divorce. I had a serious child sexual abuse case and I had tried to get someone to help me with saving my 3 children 1 boy 2 girls and it was I've if the hardest cases John had mentioned handling and said he's not had a case like mine cube in his office, that made me nervous however we just went into the office and explained our situation they have us some advice and we then took there advice did what they suggested to get a child protective order and then from there he fought to the end and backed the alleged perp into a corner to relinquish all of his rights of our children and he shockingly did. And my husband was able to adopt my children and free them from the hardest time of there life and won our case basically. We are still waiting for the charges against our perpetrator to be filed and give my children justice they deserve but if it wasn't for John Porter and Cassidy my kids would still be in a home where they were definitely not safe and we would still be trying to get someone to listen to us about what was going on in there grandparents/father's home. John Porter may be on the expensive side but he is worth it for the hard work and effort and fight he has as a lawyer to help you win. He's the best lawyer I've met and would recommend his office with Cassidy and the gals that work beside him they are all so amazing an put there heart into there jobs. Truly thankful

I don't usually write reviews, but thanks to Spencer Thomas, I'm a father who now has custody of my four children. Initially, Spencer met with me for a FREE consultation. I had already met with other attorneys, but I felt like Spencer listened to me. He took time to become familiar with my situation, and then presented several options or strategies on how to proceed. He kept me informed throughout the whole divorce process. The only reason I marked 4 stars rather than five, is because I felt like he could have responded to my emails a little bit sooner, but still responded to every one! If you are a father going through a divorce, Spencer Thomas is your guy.

I paid just around $3000 in attorney fees for 2 months of representation with no court appearances or filings… just emails with OC and phone calls without even meeting Mr. Hoyer in person. He quickly referred me to his subordinate counsel for several weeks. I received such a large bill through two months, I made a change immediately and was so glad that I did. When I requested correspondence between him and opposing counsel to try to substantiate some of the cost, he would not forward that to me. You may want to make that inquiry if you ever decide that you want to retain him as I feel, this is highly irregular and far from transparent when you are paying for his services. Mr. Hoyers office said they would only send emails to my new attorney if he requests them but, would not send them to me. I asked on multiple occasions for a 10 minute appointment with Mr. Hoyer to place a name to a face and shake a hand after spending thousands of dollars the first few weeks and during the first month and was told he was ill or on vacation and just given the run around or in court. I also paid the $300 initial one hour consultation, which was by phone and not in person. I will tell you that my experience was a couple years ago in 2022 and I have utilized five attorneys for business and real estate transactions that were FANTASTIC. Mr Hoyer not only did not place his client as first priority, but overcharged and was an inefficient in utilizing an associate inexperienced attorney to assist and charged and charged. He was not transparent and would not share communications ie emails between he and opposing counsel when I need to address my situation… when I retained my next attorney, his open book policy was to CC all communications which I found refreshing and exceptionally transparent. Do you due diligence here…my experience was challenging, costly and a nightmare.

Please find someone Else to Represent you in your case as I believe you regret it like I did. Not only do I feel I was told everything I wanted to hear from them in order to get my money when I left a review a while ago and it was a bad review obviously and how I felt I was contacted and told that he was gonna take me to court and drain me in court fees if I didn’t change my review. If this is The kind of gloss firm you would want that literally says they’ll drain you of money if you don’t leave them a good review. Well go for it now that I’m back in the state I welcome going to court if need be for me, expressing my opinion and my reviews.
