She is a good honest person but she is an unavailable attorney. She doesn't dedicate any time to her Law Practice (run by herself and one other person). Michelle was impossible to reach, she often would be unavailable for a week at a time if not longer. Rarely answered emails or phone calls, her work ethic just isn't there. Unresponsive to myself and to the opposing council and others involved in my case. I almost missed a hearing (amoung other things) due to her only working one day a week. Hiring an attorney is so stressful and Michelle will only add to that stress, if your looking for an attorney that will work and help your case progress please look elsewhere. I don't ever want anyone else to go through the stress of working with an attorney who is never present.

I paid her retainer fee, which wasn’t cheap. Never saw or heard from her again. She pawned me off at the last minute to one of her trainees, who knew nothing about my case on my court date. Then, when the sentencing day came, nobody showed up. I ended up using a public defender after all was said and done because I couldn’t get in contact with anyone from her office. Be wary.

Josie Brumfield is a knight in shining armor, though not the typical kind. Did you know that if a prosecutor breaks the law... commits "prosecutorial misconduct," that they expect to get away with it? Any lawyer who calls them out will have goodies withheld from them! They won't get good deals, their other clients will be punished and they will lose the "goodwill" of the prosecutor. I didn't know that, but Josie did. She still went and risked her future options for me and told the truth. My ex wife's powerful family from the FLDS cult tried to get me out of the way after my kids (who I have custody of) inherited some money. They were willing to lie (very well! Tears and folksy sayings and everything) and they got the poor prosecutor to believe them. In fact, he became willing to toss aside ethics (cause he thought I would be stuck with a public defender) and help my ex's family make up whole new stories. The judge just sat there. Josie's courage and knowledge of how things really work (it is NOT always fair, the system is NOT always just), to buy me almost 5 extra years to raise money for my defense and help my kids prepare if I get railroaded.
If you want someone who is not part of the old boys club, who doesn't play golf with the prosecutor and judge, and who doesn't think of your case as one card in her hand of clients... and whose instincts about how the system really works just might save your bacon, then look no further. She was extremely reasonable 5 years ago, I expect her reputation has grown but she is worth every cent you will pay.

Mr Dickinson and his office were amazing! I am embarrassed to say it was shocking what an emotional time this was for me. I felt like I had no control of what was happening to me and my daughter, and how to best save my future. Grant made me feel like he truly cared what happened to me and my daughter. He gave me good advice - and listened patiently while I sometimes disagreed. He is knowledgeable and kind, he is not about the all mighty dollar. His office staff are amazing, I called and went in more then should be permitted. They always treated me with kindness and respect. I am forever grateful to all of them.

My fiancé hired Mary Bevan to help her with a custody matter. After the first hearing we had concerns with Mary's approach and confidence in the court room, after the 2nd hearing we realized she was as good as having no legal counsel. She has no control whatsoever in the court room and she allowed the apposing lawyer to walk all over her. It got to the point where it seemed like Mary didn't believe my fiancé and constantly kept telling her to be honest in order for her to be able to help. My fiancé never lied and was honest from the start. We ended up firing her and hiring a new lawyer. It took the new lawyer 1 hearing to get the case resolved, Mary had 7 months and didn't do anything.

I found Pearson Butler via MetLife legal plan. Connected with Russ to get our family trust in place. Straight forward to complete, no complaints there. Reached back out to Russ about a completely separate matter unrelated to estate planning. His response was "I do not practice law in this area and thus, have not idea." I guess I just had more expectation than a lazy response with typos. Too much to ask if there's someone he can put me in contact with? I will be moving on from Pearson Butler and find another firm to do estate planning in the future.

Ron has been my attorney for a little over two years as I navigated a highly contentious divorce. I’ve also worked with his associate, Jennifer closely and often. They have been an absolute dream team. They have always looked out for the best interest of my kids and I and did everything in their power to get us through this process and into a better place so we can heal and move forward. They were always prepared, listened to my experiences and concerns, explained things well, and were often available quickly when situations would arise unexpectedly but needed attention. Ron is wonderful at balancing the line of keeping peace and avoiding conflict when possible, but being aggressive and an advocate when he needs to be. Every time we were in court he was prepared, quick with information and answers, and aware of even the smallest details of my case. I had complete confidence in him in the courtroom, which brought me some peace in very stressful situations. Before we hired Ron Wilkinson we read reviews and wondered if the poor reviews were credible since they seemed so different compared to the good reviews. Well, after experiencing Ron Wilkinson firsthand for ourselves, we can confirm the poor reviews about him are credible.
When we had our consultation, Ron told us quote, “I can probably get this case resolved with one phone call.” And he said that we would get the rest of our “retainer back to spend on Christmas.” We understood it wasn't a guarantee but that it was a good probability he could get the case resolved with one promised phone call since that is what he told us.
Ron never made that promised phone call. We emailed him and called the office countless times over the next 6 weeks. We did not receive replies to our emails or any callbacks. We finally scheduled a phone call in advance to speak with Ron, which costs almost $400 an hour. We asked Ron if he made that one phone call yet that he promised us. He seemed surprised we remembered him promising he would make this phone call and that he probably could get this case resolved on that one phone call and that we expected him to make that call. He said the individual he was going to call was hard to get a hold of. We did not believe he was telling us the truth.
Another time opposing counsel sent us a very harassing email on a Thursday filled with lies and threatening sanctions (court fines) against us if we didn't reply by Monday. We called Ron's office, we emailed Ron and forwarded onto him the harassing email. Ron never called us back, never emailed us back. We made it clear this was an emergency and we heard nothing but crickets. We had to reply to the email ourselves and represent ourselves in order to get the email back to this other unprofessional attorney by Monday.
It is almost impossible to communicate with Ron. He does not reply to emails or return phone calls. If you want to talk on the phone, you have to schedule a call weeks in advance for almost $400 an hour. But there are times when emergencies or situations arise that you need a relatively quick response.
Then when you do get a rare chance to talk to him, it's very difficult to bring up your concerns to him as he gets easily triggered and he has a short temper. Ron even told us he gets easily triggered. We were scared to say anything to him. Ron often engages in manipulative gas-lighting techniques where he creates a false narrative and tries to place the blame for his irresponsible actions onto us and blame us for his bad actions. As one example he would accuse us of not listening when Ron is the one who was not listening to us.
The ultimate betrayal was when Ron falsely told the court we agreed to things which we absolutely did NOT agree to.
Ron or his office also engage in falsifying their bills. As one specific example we were charged $720 for witnesses being served subpoenas. However only 4 witnesses were subpoenaed at a cost of $18.50 each which would be a total of $74, not $720. When we point this out to both Ron and his office asking them what is going on with the billing, we again receive no response.
We also had to do a lot of babysitting. We had to constantly call and email over and over and over to make sure things are getting done.
For example, we called multiple times about correctly scheduling something. We were finally told there were about 5 dates to choose from and we would get a call back to get our permission to schedule the time and place. About a week goes by with no one calling us back. So we have to call into the office again. And we are told that the thing was scheduled without ever talking to us. And this thing was scheduled at a time we could NOT make and at a place we clearly did NOT agree to. So we have to spend more time and more money getting it rescheduled and fixed to the correct place.
In short, instead of us being properly represented, there were multiple times we were misrepresented by our own counsel.

In 2018, I divorced my husband. The attorney messed up the paperwork, and I found that I had a mess on my hands. I hired Mr. Nemelka in 2020 to untangle things, and he did a fabulous job. My concerns were listened to and addressed. His advice was clear and spoke of years of experience. He was responsive, honest, and on top of everything. Brent was my attorney through a difficult divorce. My ex-husband was an unwilling participant in the marriage AND the divorce. Not wanting to participate in the divorce made him difficult to negotiate with. Brent was able to see through his stalling tactics and eventually, we were able to force the divorce issue. Brent was effective in communicating with the narcissist who was my husband. It still took a while, but I was able to get out of the relationship with my dignity intact and with everything I wanted and needed.
