When you are going through something as emotional as a divorce, you need someone who is calm, cool and very competent at your side. Mr. Fozard is kind, professional and he stays focused on the goal. My ex-wife went through two different attorneys and both of them tried starting silly arguments with us that quite frankly just rack up the legal fees . . . .. good for the lawyers, bad for the clients. Mr. Fozard shut that down immediately and kept the process moving forward.
Also of note, his communication and follow through are absolutely outstanding. While hopefully I will never need his services again, I know I will be keeping in touch with him, as he is that type of individual!

I live in Mt. Pleasant Wisc. and decided to run for Trustee . I submitted my nomination papers and then that next meeting of the public board, in which the public has 3 mins to talk. i was going to state my opinion on an issued. i was told I could not speak, because I turned in my nomination papers . It was an ordinance. This violated my freedom of speak. the First Amendment.Walter helped over turn this. The person who told my I could not speak, Mr. Degroot is now President in Mt. Pleasant of the trustees. Unreal. At least citizens can speak . thanks only to Walter. Note: this was on the books for 13 yrs.

Yolanda defended me in my case, she helped me avoid a jail sentencing. I really do appreciate her hard work with my case. She explained to the judge that my crime wasn't as severe as it seemed and the reasons to why in a very professional way. I was on probation at the time and had violated it unknowingly and she helped explain that to the judge. While on probation I was unable to leave my county and I did so unknowingly while taking someone to a doctors appointment, I wasn't even a mile out of the county. She helped my case get demised.

Yolanda Gauna went above and beyond all expectations throughout our whole acquaintance. She was prompt and informed every time we met. She was kind and listened to all the information being presented to her that was relevant to our case. I never once doubted that she would come through for us. On the day of the big court hearing she was early, held counsel with us, and explained her plans. When things were difficult to understand she explained them in an accessible way. Michelle was a welcome relief to a process that is problematic by definition. In the middle of a divorce, Michelle stepped in to take my case and bring sanity to all the members involved. Michelle represented me during my recent divorce proceding. (I found Michele after experiencing some challenges with a different attorney). From the first meeting I appreciated Michelle's ability to cut to the key issues, her candor, straight talk and willingness to level with me on some tough topics. She demonstrated an excellent ability to provide me legal advice for the topics that had to be addressed at the moment, but took the time to explain the downstream implications and tradeoffs associated with different strategies and approaches. Divorce is a tough, emotional process and Michelle demonstrated compassion and kindness as well- she knew when to push and how to handle sensitive topics. The value of this kind of smart, objective advice was invaluable to me.
Communication was always timely, thorough and spot on the mark. She was always up to speed on the details of my case. She is not the type of lawyer who shields helfself behind a paralegal (like many do). Michelle is hands on with all aspects of the case. In dealing with divorce matters, she also had the uncanny abilit to 'do the numbers in her head' and discuss possible outcomes. No doubt this comes from experience-as a lawyer and a mediator and every time I talked with her that experience showed. She was as comfortable negotiating, as conducting a deposition as going through the trial process.
Overall, divorce (particularly in a long term marriage) is a messy ugly process that can be made even uglier and more painful with the wrong attorney.

Mr. Cappozzo handled a business dispute for us without flaw. Even though the case turned out to be arduous and lengthy, Mr. Cappozzo remained firm and was not intimidated by tactics from the other side. His steadfast efforts resulted in a settlement for almost the entire amount owed. Mr. Cappozzo is a very tough yet fair attorney that I highly recommend.

He has a straightforward no-nonsense approach to conflict resolution and is not afraid to "fight the fight". He follows through with a great deal of tenacity and professionalism, always willing to put in the extra effort required to get a tough situation resolved.
His office staff is always professional, courteous, and extremely helpful as well.

I was fortunate that Andrea Winder represented me.
They charged me with 2 offenses, one of which is serious enough to tarnish my reputation and threaten my employment. Thankfully, within 24 hours of describing the case to Andrea, she had negotiated a reduced charge, the more serious charge dropped.
I had hoped this would be the outcome but was reluctant to believe that this best outcome could be realized. Thankfully, I was wrong. Andrea had the charge reduced to a minor ticket, and even more remarkable accomplished this goal within record time.

Margaret (Peggy) represented me during my divorce. My ex-husband and I were going to try to do a pro-se divorce on our own. The paperwork was very difficult to navigate. I had to file an appeal, due to several mistakes made with my original defense team. I was appointed Attorney Mann. We spoke several times, he listened, he read my documents, and we met months later in court. He is the best lawyer, also, honest! It's hard to find an honest defense attorney. He is, he will be up front, and he found many mistakes that I had not. With his hard work, I was awarded a year off of supervision. That meant the world to me. I have never had a lawyer up until recently and was always uneasy about having one. After meeting with her just once for 15 minutes, my feelings about having a lawyer quickly changed. She got straight to the point, and told me how things were going to be. I appreciated that because I don't like it when people sugar coat or try and tell you things they think you want to hear. Franklin did an excellent job with our custody battle. He understood the court system and what was needed. We hired Franklin in the during the summer and he made a point to hold a hearing in Aug so my daughter could be enrolled in our school system. We were able to show the courts how well she did during the year at our house and in school. During this time, Franklin had instructed us as to what documents we needed to obtain. Attorney Nicholas Gansner acted very quickly in response to allegations about 2nd degree sexual assault from 3 and a half years prior to the report. He took his time to gather all of the facts and spoke with the investigating detective on my behalf. Nick kept me updated and informed about the strategies he was taking while working with the detective. I left all of the work to him and he took care of everything. Ultimately, the case never made it past the initial investigation and was never forwarded to the district’s attorney’s office. He was nearly always available by call, text, or email—even responding late at night sometimes. If he was not immediately available, he would reply as soon as he could. I would highly recommend hiring attorney Gansner.

Attorney Gansner worked on my very difficult and emotionally draining case for around 2 years. My confidence in him NEVER wavered! When I had things to say, he really listened and took note. In short, Elisabeth has been wonderful to work with. Her approach is to be a concerned listener first which puts both of us in a better position to negotiate without compromising on the issues I feel most strongly about. She is always thinking ahead on what will need to happen next in the legal process and is very diligent in keeping me posted on what is going on with my case.

Paul handled what was a messy divorce to start with. From start to finish, finances and child custody went smoothly considering the circumstances. Paul was straight forward but encouraging and knows his profession to a "T". We went to trial and witnesses were called. I have had Lee for an attorney for 20+ years. I have never met a more kind and understanding man. He has helped my family many times over the years but the one that stays with me is my divorce. My divorce was amicable, but non the less very hard on me. I left the courthouse in tears. Lee followed up by finding me at my folks house afterwards.
