Not happy with this law firm at all was in a serious motorcycle accident that wasn't my fault and this attorney is getting more money than I am. If I could do it over again I wouldn't use this guy did absolutley nothing for me nothing but taking money stay away.I don't have any idea who all these other people are being represented by but I didn't get anything like there help .Im disabled for life and he didn't help me at all .

Proud to say that I just became a US citizen last month thanks to Erika and her team!! 👏🏼👏🏼🥳
My experience having Erika Portillo and her team as my immigration attorney for the past 10 years has been phenomenal! From the very start of my case she has ALWAYS been upfront and honest with me about my case which made the whole process much less stressful for me. Erika will ALWAYS go above and beyond her expertise to help her clients as best as she can!
I was able to petition my mother and she also just became a US Citizen two weeks ago! The only reason why I took the 10 years to apply for our citizenship was because I personally decided to wait until my Green card almost expired to apply for our Citizenship. I know I should have applied sooner but with three young children, my studies, and work, I got so busy in my “mom life” that I didn’t realize how fast time had gone by. The good thing is that as soon as Erika filed both my mother’s and my N-400 application in December, by February we had already received our appointment letter in the mail for our citizenship exam! After passing the exam, we received our Oath ceremony appointment for citizenship in the SF location just three months after! We are so happy and relieved that we no longer have to worry about our immigration status and most importantly that the process was smooth because we didn’t have to stress about receiving bad service or looking around for new attorneys because Erika took good care of us every step of the way. 🙏🏼
I mean this from the bottom of my heart because I’ve heard so many unfortunate situations of how difficult it is for our people to find a good lawyer who doesn’t charge them every time they show up to their office, or charge them tons of dollars upfront to take the case and then they take forever to respond or get a hold of. This is not the case with Erika Portillo!
With that said, I will say that it’s 100% worth your time and money to schedule a consultation with Erika to see if you have a good case. She will not lie to you nor waste your time and money like some attorney tend to. I actually just referred her services to a friend of mine who was asking for an immigration attorney for her brother in law. So I’m confident that if her family takes my referral, they will be in good hands.
*FYI: Both Erika and her front desk receptionists are all Spanish and English speaking so communicating with them and getting answers about your case is very easy as well. They were always ready to assist us with a nice smile on their faces.
What I love the most about having Erika as an immigration attorney is that she continues to educate herself. She stays on top of all the new laws and that’s what allows her to provide such clear and accurate services. I couldn’t imagine her being able to branch off and now having her own team if she wasn’t this great! That speaks volumes! Anyone who rents in the Monterey area can appreciate the cost of renting and with that comes high deposits. Its really important to know what you are getting into when you sign a lease. I cant say enough about Mr. Daunt. He helped me on a residential lease that went wrong. He knows the laws and was able to guide me in the right direction. I really enjoyed his approach to my problems and of course his great guidance that worked extremely well for me.

Printed info first received was very helpful $39 for a few minutes with an attorney was very helpful in helping me decide which direction to go forward. My only question would be why was not the $39 talk with an attorney for a few minutes offered sooner.

Reached out to Jennifer needing assistance with commission/monies owed and a potential Work Visa issue due to a contract not being honoured, very combative firm/management.
Jennifer proposed a strategy that was not aggressive, offered them options to avoid accruing legal fees with lots of back & forth. When they refused to come to the table she stepped in and in a matter of weeks I was paid the exact amount we discussed and legal separation was signed off on.
A highly stressful & sensitive situation and she walked me through it and went into bat for me when needed.

A friend of mine referred Jenny to me prior to my termination. When I was abruptly terminated, Jenny called my employer immediately to let them know I was already represented by council even though she had a deposition to go to that day. She made time for me when I needed her help most. This did not change through the ten-month process to come to a settlement. The other side all but ignored our communications and attempts at settlement hoping we would just go away. But Jenny does not go away, she stays and fights for her clients. She ultimately drafted a well-researched and very strategic complaint and gave them a short window of time to either respond or she would file the complaint in Superior Court. They immediately responded and the case was settled within a week. I ultimately received about 2.7 times my original severance offer which represented a very significant settlement. Jenny always worked with me on the fees which I felt were very fair. She is a dedicated, intelligent and experienced attorney who can keep things in perspective and reassure you when you have doubts. I don’t think I would have ever been able to get through this process and with this outcome with anyone other than Jenny.

When a person is wrongly terminated it takes away more than your job. You loose the essence of who you are, your confidence, your trust in people, how you interact with the outside world. I saw Mr. Falzone for help with a long-term child support issue. My child support has been in arrears for more than four years. I was concerned about my children and my relationship with my ex-husband. He helped resolve the situation and helped me get the child support arrears from my ex. It's difficult to write a glowing review due to the context (a divorce) as it would sound a bit odd. That said, I did a lot of research before choosing Christine and she more than lived up to my expectations. She is very good at finding middle ground in a difficult situation and is good at bringing both parties back to the topic at hand and explaining the different facets.
If you're looking for someone who cares, she's it. She really does try to make things equitable and less painful for everyone. I can't say I'd recommend a divorce lawyer as that's a very hard place for anyone to be, but if you're in that situation, I'd say go this route with her instead of pointlessly fighting a battle that's already been lost. She'll make what's very difficult a bit easier. And that's worth quite a lot.

I met Carsen almost several years ago when I hired her. There was a time in my life when I lost all hope of having my son. Desperate, scared and almost hopeless I searched for a lawyer. I had all but given up until I found Carsen Smith.
