I just contacted this office because SSI denied my application. After getting advice from many other disabled individuals on SSI, I'm now looking into getting an attorney to help get my case approved, as I have more than abundant proof of both mental and physical disability.
Despite mentioning this, they've decided to turn me away, claiming that "they didn't think they'd be able to prove I'm disabled". Even though I hadn't been able to send them the papers/documentation yet, as a case hadn't been assigned before they declined to aid me.
Very disappointed to see this especially when I was going off of reviews that made me confident and excited to work with them. Fortunately, there /are/ many attorneys and lawyers in the county out here to help those in need.

Kate Crane wrote the estate documents for my parents in 1999. My parents paid thousands of dollars to set up the Trusts. Then, over DECADES she charged them to add more sub trusts giving them convoluted and complex distribution percentages to go from one trust to the other. My mom passed in 2009. My Dad died in March 2023. Today, 8/18/24 the estate is in litigations, most of the beneficiaries are mad and the documents were so poorly written by Kate, that the family relationships are fractured. My parents spent tens of thousands of dollars to prevent what is happening to our family today. They were sold her services using all of the things people want to hear. "You will avoid probate and save time" "You will save money on taxes" "Your family will have peaceful and loving relationships since everything is in the Trust" Total and complete lies to sell their services. Almost two years have passed since my Dad died. Even simple things like personal possessions of jewelry are still in the possession of professional fiduciaries. Almost two years have passed and my son and two nephews who are three responsible , productive members of society have to hire an attorney to try to receive their distributions because Kate Crane never took the time to update the age of these family members who must wait until they are 35 years old. They are businesses owners and homeowners but Kate wrote that they get nothing until they are 35. Oh, and guess what...those three have to have a trust set up and managed being charged fees to set it up and then $3,000/year to "manage the trusts". Another sister has a valid reason for blaming Kate for poorly writing a section of the Trust that results in her losing more than $200,000. I have written a sworn and notarized affidavit detailing how my dad told me that he wanted to change the wording of this section but Kate insisted that it be left as it was. His last few years of his life were spent regretting that he hired Kate Crane. This is a well polished scam that will take your money and redistribute your wealth to Kate Crane and her associates like CPAs. She works closely with a CPA named Grant Niman. After all of the money my parents spent on these trusts, after her client, my dad, passed away and could not complain, Kate charged an additional $8,650 to the estate for "emails, phone calls, review and drafting a letter" of her own documents!! Do not believe any of her lies that she says to get your money. This has been one of the worst cases of incompetence if not outright fraud and elder abuse.

Mr. Ayers was my attorney for the dissolution of my marriage of almost 20 years in 2010. To say I was one of his more challenging clients is an understatement. During the time he was my council, my now ex-husband was harassing me, stealing my mail, hacking into my email, and utilizing cell phone spyware to gain the upper hand in the out come of the divorce. I was hostile, frustrated, not very savvy with technology, and only heard about 1/3 of the good advice he was giving me. He and his wife exhibited an almost saintly amount of patience with all of my antics. Mr. Ayers did an excellent job on the final dissolution agreement. In fact, my ex-husband was not following through with what he agreed to, I took him to Court, and won. He did a solid job on my divorce and the Judge backed it up! Family Law is the worst of the worst. It takes an experienced, smart attorney to stay the course and do a good job with all the drama flying about. I am now on the other side, have surpassed my kids in the tech department, and am back to the person I should have been. If you are seeking a divorce, it is really important to remember that everyone is at their worst during that time. I am grateful I found Mr. Ayers (although I did not convey this at the time) who was pragmatic, smart, knew the law, and did not partake in all the drama.

Finding the right immigration attorney can be a daunting task, but having someone knowledgeable and dependable can make all the difference in navigating the complexities of immigration law. Below is my detailed review of FN immigration.
Pros:
1+ The attorney took the time to thoroughly read and understand my case, which was incredibly reassuring.
2+ She helped expedite my case, ensuring that it progressed efficiently.
3+ I was well-prepared for my hearing, thanks to her diligent coaching and guidance.
4+ Her expertise in immigration law was evident throughout the process.
5+ She has a solid understanding of what USCIS and immigration judges expect from immigrants, which added a lot of value to my case.
Cons:
1- The billing structure was a bit of a challenge. She charged for every communication made with USCIS ang Immigration court, which added up quickly. A flat rate would have been preferable for predictability.
2- Unfortunately, she had to reschedule my individual hearing at the last minute due to a personal trip. It was really frustrating as I had been waiting for it for so long.
Overall:
Despite a couple of drawbacks, she is highly skilled and effective at her job. I strongly recommend her for anyone navigating immigration matters.

To be fair John worked with me on the price, provided advice on how to fill out my own forms and reviewed them for me. however in the end when I went to settlement hearing he didn't accompany me to help me negotiate the settlement. I want to take a moment to thank the entire staff at the Daniel J. O'Neill law office in SLO town for their 2+ year work handling my neck injury claim. When I was involved in what I thought was a typical rear end accident in 2019, I didn’t realize my neck complaints would persist and worsen over time. It got to the point where conservative measures were not providing any relief but I had gotten to the point of just accepting that the pain I had was something I would need to get used to. After an initial consultation with his law office, Mr. O’Neill surprising offered to file a claim on my behalf. Not only did he offer to represent me, he also provided a different perspective regarding pain clinic procedures that were not previously considered. After several unsuccessful procedures locally in the Bay Area, he referred me to Dr. Jordon, a Pain Specialist in Santa Monica, that was able to identify the source of injury after specific diagnostic testing. It took approximately a year of procedures and tests, but eventually we were able to find some relief and resume a more normal lifestyle with the family. During this whole time, I never inquired about how much this case might be worth since my main intention was getting pain relief.
Throughout the whole process of collecting records, submitting forms and discovery, the entire office staff was patient, respectful and thorough. It was clear that the behind the scenes work of the case was extensive. Mr. O’Neill and the support staff spent countless hours with preparation for our deposition, the IME and progressive negotiations with the insurance provider. In the end, with much diligence and savvy negotiations, I received a settlement beyond any of my expectations. I understand the settlement will not cure my neck issue, but it does provide some peace of mind for covering future care and future needs of my family.

After consultation, Mr. O'Neill agreed to take on my car accident case. He gave me instruction on what information he needed me to gather for him; police report, hospital and medical records etc. and I got busy doing just that. I called him back to explain that the hospital could not forward my records for a month to which he replied that it was fine. Just after I received the records and had compiled all the required information, I received an email from Mr. O'Neill's assistant that he was too busy and would no longer be helping me. I was devastated! I emailed and phoned him once, imploring him to please help me. If he was too busy at the time, i was willing to wait, but he still refused. i had only spoken to him a few times initially and the one other time regarding the wait for hospital records, so i wonder if it was not for some other reason than just being 'too busy' as I was willing to wait. I had spent much effort and money to gather all my information and records together ready to send to him. If Mr. O'Neill had indeed become too busy, then I feel it would have been respectful and more appropriate to refuse to represent the new cases rather than refuse my case that he had accepted a month prior. after my initial consult with Mr. O'Neill, i felt so hopeful and thought I had found a good, caring person to help me. Words cannot express the emotional devastation I felt when he 'dumped' me as it was during a very tragic and difficult time in my life. I feel Mr. O'Neill treated me disrespectfully and uncaringly.

Whenever you think about retaining a criminal defense attorney review their track record first and whether they have successfully defended their clients. In Josh’s case, in the major criminal cases he has defended, he hasn’t defended one client successfully in trial. Instead, what you’ll see is his clients pleading to often unfavorable terms—making the DA’s job that much easier while earning attorney fees.
In 2010 Josh unsuccessfully ran for District Attorney. Following his lost he was subsequently fired from his position as a result of his behavior. This is all public record. Josh still remains in close contact with the same prosecutors who supported him during his election run; some whom he should be opposing in representing you his client. All of this remains an inherit conflict of interest.
Recommend considering criminal defense attorneys who have a successfully track record of going to bat for the clients.

Called to schedule a consultation for my mother to process a divorce. With my mother being Spanish speaking, I asked if I could help with translating. They said no and because no one in the firm speaks Spanish. Which is fine they’re not required to. So they referred me to another law firm that speaks Spanish. I have no issues with speaking to our immigration lawyer as a translator so not sure how this is different or they just don’t serve the Latino community. Either way not surprising based off other reviews here so we probably are better off.
