Middle of a tax audit and I was so over my head. The auditor was pretty mean and kept getting more and more aggressive and I was getting super scared of jail or tons of taxes I would never be able to pay back. I called Delia Law the next day and hired them on the spot. Ms. Delia contacted my auditor that day and provided an immediate status to me. She had it under control quickly. Kate Crane wrote the estate documents for my parents in 1999. My parents paid thousands of dollars to set up the Trusts. Then, over DECADES she charged them to add more sub trusts giving them convoluted and complex distribution percentages to go from one trust to the other. My mom passed in 2009. My Dad died in March 2023. Today, 8/18/24 the estate is in litigations, most of the beneficiaries are mad and the documents were so poorly written by Kate, that the family relationships are fractured. My parents spent tens of thousands of dollars to prevent what is happening to our family today. They were sold her services using all of the things people want to hear. "You will avoid probate and save time" "You will save money on taxes" "Your family will have peaceful and loving relationships since everything is in the Trust" Total and complete lies to sell their services. Almost two years have passed since my Dad died. Even simple things like personal possessions of jewelry are still in the possession of professional fiduciaries. Almost two years have passed and my son and two nephews who are three responsible , productive members of society have to hire an attorney to try to receive their distributions because Kate Crane never took the time to update the age of these family members who must wait until they are 35 years old. They are businesses owners and homeowners but Kate wrote that they get nothing until they are 35. Oh, and guess what...those three have to have a trust set up and managed being charged fees to set it up and then $3,000/year to "manage the trusts". Another sister has a valid reason for blaming Kate for poorly writing a section of the Trust that results in her losing more than $200,000. I have written a sworn and notarized affidavit detailing how my dad told me that he wanted to change the wording of this section but Kate insisted that it be left as it was. His last few years of his life were spent regretting that he hired Kate Crane. This is a well polished scam that will take your money and redistribute your wealth to Kate Crane and her associates like CPAs. She works closely with a CPA named Grant Niman. After all of the money my parents spent on these trusts, after her client, my dad, passed away and could not complain, Kate charged an additional $8,650 to the estate for "emails, phone calls, review and drafting a letter" of her own documents!! Do not believe any of her lies that she says to get your money. This has been one of the worst cases of incompetence if not outright fraud and elder abuse.

I wasn’t aware it would be possible for someone to die before they are born, but that’s what happened to me. My son was healthy and thriving inside my wife’s womb until they were brought to the delivery room. All seemed well until the OB started shouting, and I was hurriedly brought out of the delivery room. Two hours later, both my wife and my son were dead. The doctors weren’t clear with me what happened—they said it was a risky pregnancy and there was a complication. I started to hate the word “complication” because no one could explain what it means—just that something happened and my son and wife died. Dr. Bruce Fagel was the one who got to the bottom of things. I can’t believe that someone who helped us get pregnant and who was with us every step of the way would be the one to kill my family. They will never get away with this again.

We are very grateful to the law offices of Dr. Bruce G. Fagel and Associates. They are the ones who informed us that what was happened to our mom in her retirement home was not expected, and she was not given adequate nutrition, and medical care as was agreed. Our mom went into care as an independent 75-year-old who was having problems with her grip. Since we all lived far from her, she said it would be better to go into a retirement home so she would at least have “new friends.” Then the pandemic happened, and we weren’t allowed to visit her. Six months later, we got that she was in dire condition. Through Dr. Fagel, we found out that our mom was treated horribly. She had kidney failure and a host of other health problems that we didn’t understand where they came from—she was healthy and managing her meds well all on her own. Dr. Fagel helped us get justice. It won’t bring her back, but the people behind her abuse paid for their crimes.

I used this firm to assist in the acquisition and bill of sale of a small business. They were awesome. Our close cycled was with in 45 days and Richard was always available for questions and new drafts. (We worked weekends when needed, but not sure this is always available). Richard is intense and very keen on the details. I wont need another firm in the future!

Initially I wanted to give 1 star, but ultimately, I am grateful that attorney Jason Stones was very responsive to me during a time of desperation, extreme stress, and panic- whereas my previous attorney kept me completely in the dark about everything- even as my child custody hearing rapidly approached. He was also able to get my ex's attorney to agree to a PPA with only days to spare until my trial commenced. Now for the negatives: During the initial hearing, my ex's attorney was making what felt like direct and personal attacks against me to which I felt didn't get enough pushback from Jason. I didn't feel like he was for me as hard as he should have been. He also never made a reply declaration to my ex's reply. My ex made several terrible allegations against me, which resulted in me being investigated by Social Services. Jason didn't do the work to speak with the social worker to find out what the conclusion of that investigation was, or obtain a copy of the report from that investigation. Luckily, I did, and the reports conclusions completely refuted my ex's allegations. After I read the report, I told Jason that we should be submitting this to the court. His response was that we couldn't do that because this was "not an evidentiary hearing." For me, that was the last straw and I moved on to another law firm with attorney's that DID submit a reply declaration to my ex and DID submit the report from Social Services. I'm not sure how they were able to submit the report even though this was supposedly not an evidentiary hearing. Funnily enough, that very report was brought up repeatedly by the Judge as she admonished my ex for withholding my son from me and now, thanks to a different firm, I have had my visitation restored and joint custody established.

John Demas and his team are remarkable and they are the kind of people you want in your corner.They are tenacious, unyielding, persistent and devoted to their clients. We hired Kendall VanConas and this firm to update our estate - they initially said they'd print our documents and give return them to us in a day or two - instead they took weeks just to print copies of our estate documents and only gave them back weeks later after we had to prompt them and ask for them. After that, we had to continually call and send emails to repeatedly ask when we were going to ever hear from them about our estate planning after our initial meeting in May, we were told their assistant went on vacation so they were behind and would try to catch up soon (but still never heard anything from them after that), weeks went by and again we reached out to ask when things would move forward and were told Kendall had surgery and had "gotten behind" on things in her recovery (We were never told she was out for a medical leave prior to that). We had to contact them again on July 1st only to be told they were all out of the office until after July 8th - this firm doesn't do work, they do billing and make excuses, that's about it. They also refused to give us notes from the one meeting we had with them - for which we were billed $750 and told, the notes from that meeting were "privy for them" not for us so our request for a recap of our own estate planning meeting was refused. Do not waste your time with this firm, they have NO incentive to move forward with your project or estate planning, they will take you as a client then sit on your estate planning and DO NOTHING, but bill you for any meetings, then drop the ball, and you will never hear from them again, very unprofessional and our experience with them was completely frustrating and a total waste of our time, as well as costly - as we got nothing from our $750 meeting with them, not even an outline or meeting recap of the notes they took from our estate planning meeting. They also don't communicate at all, and never told us about the lead attorney's surgery or time out from the office for her recovery - and apparently, no one else in the firm does anything. (They take a full week off for July 4th - the entire firm apparently, as no one responded to our July 1 email as they were all "out of the office until after July 8th). After July 8th we still heard NOTHING. Kendall told us she would follow up with a timeline of our estate planning status the following week, but she never did, and that never happened. When they had an assistant out of the office that also apparently makes all their work come to a screeching halt - all of this is inexcusable, unprofessional and is a poor representation of a firm that is supposed to be on their game helping people update their estate planning. You will likely pass away before they ever get to updating your estate - we moved on and found a much better firm that actually does work, and would strongly recommend people stay away from this firm if they need something done in a reasonable time and feel communication is important at all, as this firm doesn't communicate, they make excuses when you reach out because if you hire them, you will be the one doing all the planning and reaching out, they do not do anything at all but sit on your estate planning and watch time go by! From the first meeting in May until we fired them in July for a span of almost 2 months, we had one meeting, they copied our files and then absolutely nothing else ever happened in moving forward with our estate planning - they never gave us a timeline for getting it done, which we asked about for 3 weeks, but they never provided a timeline because they had no plan to do the work or had decided for some reason due to their incompetence and lack of continuity in their own office and within their staff's capability to take years to do an update on our estate planning. This firm is not doing anything but taking business then sitting on it, doing meetings with clients and refusing to give the clients any notes or minutes from meetings clients are being billed for! There are firms that do effective estate planning, but sadly, this isn't one of them.

Whenever you think about retaining a criminal defense attorney review their track record first and whether they have successfully defended their clients. In Josh’s case, in the major criminal cases he has defended, he hasn’t defended one client successfully in trial. Instead, what you’ll see is his clients pleading to often unfavorable terms—making the DA’s job that much easier while earning attorney fees. In 2010 Josh unsuccessfully ran for District Attorney. Following his lost he was subsequently fired from his position as a result of his behavior. This is all public record. Josh still remains in close contact with the same prosecutors who supported him during his election run; some whom he should be opposing in representing you his client. All of this remains an inherit conflict of interest. Recommend considering criminal defense attorneys who have a successfully track record of going to bat for the clients.
