I got to my 50s without having ever sued or been sued by anyone, and hoped to get through life that way. When a GEICO-insured motorist hit me while I was biking, I truly tried to reach a fair out of court settlement without a lawyer. No dice. GEICO thwarted my good intentions, so I hired Alphonse Balzano. Best. Decision. Ever. He listened to what I did and didn't want in the suit, and worked hard, getting me a good settlement (way higher than I had asked for on my own) that put some real fear into GEICO. Years later, a GEICO-insured motorist damaged my house. Again I had trouble getting them to settle reasonably - till I raised Attorney Balzano's name. This time, they settled in a hurry! :-)

We first contacted Peter when we started our medical malpractice journey almost five years ago shortly after the surgery accident happened. He and his paralegal assistant Kim expertly guided us through the long judicial process , handling not only the complex legal issues but all of the roller-coaster emotional ones as well. It became quite evident that we made a great lawyer choice when we witnessed all of the other lawyers during depositions. Peter was clearly head and shoulders above the rest - he was always well prepared, having completely researched all of the medical procedures and surgical tool nuances so that he knew exactly what questions to ask the witnesses. He always remained calm, courteous and professional when questioning them, and left no stone unturned. When we became frustrated with the slow process, which dragged on for years (partly due to being in the midst of Covid), he always listened patiently to our concerns, responded in a way we understood, and never pressured us one way or the other - decisions were always, in the end, left up to us (although he clearly gave us his own recommendations). He and Kim were "our team", and we knew we could always contact them if we had questions or issues. We are relieved that this chapter is behind us, and would certainly recommend Peter to anyone needing this type of assistance.

We used Paul Kaplan's office to sell our house in New Haven. We had relocated across country before we had a chance to sell it, so we had to sell it remotely. Fortunately, we found some wonderful people to buy it and could do a for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) transaction, but we needed a capable seller's attorney's office to handle all the paperwork for us.
The entire transaction was as smooth as it could possibly be. Paul's office was very competent. We gave Paul a limited power-of-attorney to handle the transaction for us. Aside for a last minute scurry to find a notary public here (hint: use Yelp) here, there really weren't any problems at all. Anytime I had any questions at all, I knew that I could call Paul or toss him an e-mail and he'd call me right back.
After closing, Paul's office wired the balance of funds as soon as they settled the books (one business day!). Because of wire fraud, they were careful to make sure I was really me, and my bank account was really mine, which I appreciated.
Over all, I couldn't have been happier. Well, I could have been. I would have liked to have shaked the hands of Paul and his team for doing such a great job. What could have been a stressful situation (remotely selling a house) was instead a dream.
Now we have the funds to fix the fixer-upper we bought on the west coast!

First of all, Attorney Boni-Vendola is an outstanding lawyer and I give my strongest recommendation.
Attorney Boni-Vendola is my third lawyer for my divorce case, and I only regret I didn't find her earlier. My first lawyer is from a pretty well-known firm and was referred to me by someone I work with. But very surprisingly, she went to the judge's chamber and made a deal on behalf of me against my will (even though I was very clear about what I wanted before she went to see the judge). Furthermore, she pressured me to sign the agreement. Thinking back, I don't think she was ill intentioned, she just wanted to get me divorced as soon as she could and she may not have enough experience for cases like mine. After talking with other professionals, they all suggested me to change a lawyer. With a friend's referral, I started with my 2nd lawyer. He is super nice, but he is very busy and didn't have much time for my case. I had worked with him for a little over a year (COVID made all the divorce cases delayed) and felt very frustrated. That's when a professional recommended Attorney Boni-Vendola.
Attorney Boni-Vendola is a completely different experience! She is very experienced (you will know by the suggestions she gives, how she works with another party and the judges), efficient (never waste your time when speaking with you, and get right to the point), listened to what I wanted and fought on my behalf, would not let me waste money on things not necessary. Most importantly, she was after me for what I should do, not the other way around. Examples include knowing that I wanted the divorce trial to happen ASAP, she filed for objection right after my ex-husband submitted his request to postpone the trial date. I only found out these activities through online notifications altogether with judge's approval to our objection a couple of days later. I really appreciate the way she handled this and her consideration because it would only add my worry if I knew. She also standed on my point of view to think and gave me invaluable advice. Mostly importantly, she did not pressure me on anything.
I am very grateful that I had her as my attorney and I strongly recommend her without any reservation.

Attorney Paetzold was worth every penny that he was paid and performed like I paid him millions. He was very reasonable and delivered the best possible outcome that I should of received. Stuart has 2 cases for me. In 2009, he handled my car accident case, and kept me informed of everything that was going on with my case. If I was unsure about anything he was talking about, he took the time to explain all the terms that I was unclear about. I never felt like he forgot about my case or that I wasn't getting the attention I needed. He was right there any time there was a new development in the case, I and was immediately informed. He gave me great advice on what was coming, and what to expect. He settled the case and I was very happy with the results!
In 2011, he also handled my child custody case. He fought for everything that I wanted, and made sure that I was happy with the outcome. When I told him I wanted the child support portion to go through the state Child Support Enforcement Division, he was very clear, and expressed to the judge all of the facts that supported that portion of my case.

I hired Conrad as my attorney for the sale of my home and the purchase of a new home. He did a great job in both instances however with the buying process he went more than above and beyond. I worked with what ended up being a very complicated and unorganized lender and Conrad and his team worked more than overtime to accommodate all their, at times, excessive requests. An example of the extra work put in by Conrad was going to the town hall after business hours in order to record the deed. I can honestly say I do not feel I would have been able to close on my house in the timeline I did if it were not for Conrad. My family was out of a home and we were in desperate need to close and be able to move into our new home and Conrad and his team work tirelessly to ensure we were able to close as quickly as possible.
