I hired Dennis more than 1 occasion and am very thankful and blessed to have had him on my side. I’ve had 4 trips to prison and was looking at 25- life my 3rd and 4th time going back. I am a Testimony. I grew up in the streets of Houston and was brought up in the gang life and hustlin culture. Everyone thought I was a lost cause and had given up… but not God! I didn’t expect to get a dismissal. Being honest, I knew what I deserved, but I just wanted Mercy and wanted to change… even though I didn’t know how. Instead of receiving a 25- life sentence, I ended up doing 5 years this time. Which is also my last. I been out now going on 2 years. When I came home I worked 2 jobs, and went to school for my CDL license and also got my tankers endorsement. Now I been driving 18 wheelers and working at the same company over a year. I go to church and spend time with my family and loved ones. There is always HOPE. It’s gonna take hard work and Faith, but it’s possible! Dennis is the best lawyer I’ve seen and I’ve had a few. Dennis was so helpful with my son’s case I couldn’t be more grateful to him, my son felony case ranged from 2 to 10 years being a juvenile first time offender was really hard on any parent but Dennis answered any questions I had and was reachable at any time of the day. All in all my son ended up with 3 years probation with deferred and will go back and have his record sponged if your looking for a straight forward lawyer look no further he’s all u need

Going through the judicial system is like flipping a coin in the air and hoping for the best…It’s not always fair! From false charges to financial burdens ;you HAVE to have the right people in the right places. And that’s what you get when working with Carl and his team. My son fought multiple felony cases for 3 years consecutively, facing up to 99 years in prison, and not once did Carl and his team ever stop working. All in all my son spent a week in jail for all cases with no probation. While I don’t want to diminish the hard work my son has put in, without Carl he’d be a SPN # waiting for him commissary for the next 99 years! We are so grateful for what Carl has given us. Excellent YOUNG Man. I was referred to him by a Friend. For starters he is very mannerable & has a sense of humor . I definitely like the fact that he returns phone calls. From our very first initial meeting ( which was also during the COVID pandemic) I explained to him details of what happened when I was wrongly accused for something and charged for injury to an elderly. I told him I had all my documentation and sent it straight over to his office from that he told me exactly what he was going to do without having to go any further into prolonging the case. He got my case dismissed and I never had to go to court expect for the very first time and that was to sign for a court appointed attorney and I was blessed with him. I never got to thank him for what he did for me so I am writing this review because he is an amazing lawyer and he listens and he will fight and do all he can for you.

Due to some very unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, I was facing a felony drug charge. The charge would have been the end of my life as I knew it
As anybody with any sense would do, I hired an attorney. And over the stretch of a year, it seemed as if no matter what I did, was going to have the charge. The best deal my attorney could pull for me was four years of Probation and a hefty fine. I was devastated. But taking some time on the matter, I began to realize maybe there was a possibility for a better outcome!
So, I fired the attorney I had and following some recommendations, I hired Shelby Burns. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this would turn out to be the best decision I could have made.
I will never forget the day he called me and told me that he was able to plea the case down to a misdemeanor with NO probation, NO jail time, and NO fine (only the inevitable court fines but they were minimal).
If I was still young enough to do so, I swear I would have been doing backflips I was so excited. It was so good that I was almost in disbelief that it was even true and that he wouldn't trying to pull some sick prank on me. But it was real! I was going to be able to continue on in my life the way I had prior to the charge. It had been so long since the occurrence is well, that everything I was having to do had almost become a way of life to me. I have my freedom, my career, and no felony on my record! I would refer this attorney to anyone. He saved my life! I would have lost everything that I had worked for. I still am in a bit of shock but he most definitely is someone who knows what they're doing and will fight for you to the fullest of his abilities!

I was charged with driving while intoxicated and open container after a car accident in Sep, 2014. I was referred to and contacted Shelby Burns shortly thereafter and after a lengthy period of court resets, the case was resolved (secured a reduced charge of 'obstruction of a roadway'). Additionally, Mr. Burns gave me his cell number and was accessible at all times and communicated case status as needed throughout the legal process.

I hired Dr. Jones during an ugly custody battle. As a father, I felt my concerns/points were not being taken seriously by the courts and my ex wife was playing the abused wife victim card even though the mental/physical abuse was actually done to me. Dr. Jones worked 24/7 on my case and was available to me 100% of the time. He basically held my hand and walked me through every step of the process. He brought in things our prior attorney (who had told me I would only get standard possession if courts believed me). Thanks to Dr. Jones, i am now the primary custodian of my children with 50/50 visitation for both parents. As a father, I can now help protect my kids and it is all thanks to Dr. Jones.
