Before I reached out to her, I had two lawyer to discuss my situation over the phone and they did not accepted of consultation to solve the issue due to the difficulties on my case. Ms. Rutherford was very nice and asked me to come to see her to go over my contract next morning. Due to her appropriate and quick actions, my issue was settled soon with minimum damages.

I am a lawyer in Pennsylvania and I just completed a Products Liability case in Pennsylvania involving the alleged failure of a defective bicycle part manufactured in another country. I had a jurisdictional problem whereby personal jurisdiction over the foreign manufacturer was at issue in Pennsylvania. Because the Statute of Limitations, (or time within which suit had to be filed) was expiring, I needed to file a protective action in Federal Court in Washington State at the last minute since the foreign defendant clearly did business in Washington State. Through the trial lawyer list serve on the internet I contacted Phil Arnold who practices Seattle and throughout Washington State. Phil immediately responded to me and immediately took time out of his busy schedule to act as local counsel and get the suit filed in Fed Ct and then convince the Court to have the the case stayed in Fed Ct in Washington while my case proceeded in Pennsylvania. Because of Phil Arnold's responsiveness and legal skills, in filing this protective action in Washington at the last minute, I was able to obtain a favorable resolution of my case in Pa. Phil did not have to help me, but he never hesitated a bit. That is why I am proud to be a trial lawyer and member of the American Association of Justice in which Phil is also a member. We help each other all around the United States. Our common bond is the plight of the victims we represent. I was represented in a very drawn out, unique, and frustrating parenting plan that was started in 2019 and wasn't finalized until the end of 2021. I interviewed three other attorneys before selecting Brad Crosta for representation. My reason for choosing Brad was his very straightforward, no nonsense approach. I appreciated his ability to maintain a sense of pragmatism and see things clearly without getting bogged down in the, what I can only call 'craziness' of parts of the case. I have known Brad Crosta since 2011 when I hired him to represent me during my divorce case (which included a minor child), and then again in 2016 for modification of the parenting plan, after my ex moved to another state. I was introduced to Matt when I became very dissatisfied with the work a firm was doing for our firm. After reviewing documents and certain aspects of the law, he advised that we were trying to defend a contract when in reality new Federal law took precedence. While driving southbound on I-5 in Tacoma an underinsured motorist sideswiped a dump-truck causing it to spin around and go north in the southbound lanes and hitting us head-on. We were crushed between the spinning dump truck, the car that caused the accident and the car that rear-ended us. We hired Schroeter Goldmark & Bender to represent us.
The insurance carrier for the underinsured motorist paid us the limits under their policy. Our own insurance company basically made an offer of zero to cover life-altering and permanent injuries.
Our team at SGB of Adam Berger, Sergio Garcidueñas-Sease, Lindsay Halm and Alder Burgess took over for us. One of the most important things they did was to shield us from the stone-walling, delaying tactics of our own insurance company to whom we had paid premiums for more than 30 years. From the beginning they handled the case as if it would end up in litigation. You need attorneys like SGB that have your back and are not afraid to go to court if that is what it takes.
They had the added challenge of doing this during Covid. Thank goodness for Zoom conferences. We ultimately got a court date. Two months prior to our court date, we went to mediation, via Zoom. We didn't hold out much hope for mediation, but we were willing to make an attempt. What a surprise when the insurance company came to mediation finally willing to negotiate. After a full day of the mediator going back and forth between Zoom rooms, we came to a fair monetary settlement. We are convinced that the insurance company, even then, was only willing to negotiate because, Adam and the rest of his team were well prepared bulldogs willing to go to court if mediation failed. As they like to say, "This was not their first rodeo".
A car accident is horrible. You need the best attorneys you can find to protect your interests. Besides being professional and knowing the case inside and out, Adam and the rest of his team are compassionate and truly care about their clients. We strongly recommend them to anyone who needs their service. Without Adam and SGB our insurance company would have paid us nothing.

I was involved an an L&I auto accident and Ann contacted me after being hired by the State of Washington to attempt to recover damages from the at-fault driver that hit me. I recently went on a trial, and Mr. Munish Bharti represented me. I will say that he alone went against the prosecution team. He is very respectful and explains everything that I was not clear at. I hired Ed to help me with a car accident claim. I had no idea how much happens behind the scenes with car insurance companies, but they are incentivized to settle claims for the least possible amount of money that the injured party will accept. I had a dui case in 2012. My parents had a lawyer that pretty much handled all their issues. Cashton was a friend of my parents lawyers. The first time I met him, I knew I could trust him. I met with previous lawyers before but none of them made me feel comfortable, handing my money over to them to handle my case. He was great, honest, caring and did what it took to help me out. I found Emily Tsai after seeing my wife’s lawyer out class my first 3 lawyers. He was able to take the documented truth and twist it into lies. The first 3 fell prey to sleazy tactics and threats of sanctions. Maybe they were afraid of a lawyer who had a Commissioner working in his law firm. Emily took him on and save me from losing potentially $2 million to the lies and tricks of the other side. She did this by not responding to lies and sleaze with lies and sleaze. She did it using the high road with good legal reasoning, good legal research, and outstanding expert witnesses.
Emily is hard working. To my objection she had me in her office late into the night to prepare for the arbitration hearing. Her husband was very patient and waited hours for her to complete the preparations.
If you have high value assets at risk in your divorce, you need to see Emily. She is well worth her fee.

Ms. First was exceptionally thorough in her research and preparation. She did great background work and found very well qualified expert witnesses to support her findings. Her presentation was very professional and clear.

I sustained severe injuries when a deck collapsed at a private residence. The insurance company representing the homeowner initially denied liability for the deck collapse. I chair the board of a large condo building in Portland that hired Tony to reach attractive settlements in two separate building issues. I recommend him for his willingness to help legal committees avoid the intra-building anger that accompanies such unfortunate events and his readiness to settle as soon as attractive terms can be achieved.
The first complaint we had was for a piece of building equipment. We had initially retained a different lawyer but quickly became concerned that her desire to litigate until all appeals were exhausted wasn't in keeping with the low-drama solution our owners wanted. After switching, Tony negotiated a settlement that avoided court by tying any future payments to actual future repairs instead of insisting on an upfront check.
Our second issue was much larger in both dollars and breadth but the board wanted to go with an attorney that would guide the case to a good compromise and try to avoid spiraling into never ending appeals. Tony prepared for trial throughout the case and pre-trial motions were a big part of setting the stage for a very successful settlement but always focused on the goal: a pre-trial settlement that would fully protect owners. Our owners wanted the pain that litigation causes to be recognized by their counsel and have that counsel deliver results; Tony did so.

I chair the Board of Directors at the Encore (177 unit high-rise condo in Portland, OR). The Encore condo owners association entered into an engagement agreement with Tony Rafel in August 2012 for general counsel and other legal services following turnover of condo association responsibility from the developer to owners.
Since that time Mr. Rafel has provided very effective legal service to the Encore on a wide range of important matters, including negotiating successful agreements on building defect, mechanical and plumbing system problems, as well as advising and supporting the Board on contracts, resolutions and policy and rules matters.
As volunteer Board members, we appreciate Tony's solid knowledge and experience in condo association law and especially defect claims. He is able to communicate complex legal and technical issues in a way that homeowners can understand and take appropriate action through the condo owners association and the Board.

I had an IRA investment that had gone bad due to the neglect of the manager of the hedge fund in which the IRA was invested. Tony met with me, and quickly got up to speed on the 6" stack of documents supporting my complex situation. Since the hedge fund was located in Oregon, and I live in Washington state, it was imperative that my attorney be licensed in both states, which Tony is. Thanks to his comprehensive grasp of the situation, he wrote a compelling letter to the hedge fund manager on my behalf. Fortunately, we did not have to resort to filing a lawsuit, but Tony instead was able to negotiate an excellent settlement. The settlement took several months to negotiate, but Tony kept after it, and made sure it didn't languish. After the settlement agreement was signed, he kept on top of the payment schedule, and even had to press for payment in a couple of instances. At this point, all but the final payment have been received, and I fully expect to receive that final one as well! Throughout the process, Tony responded quickly to my emails, and was very professional. He provided sound advice, and was a firm negotiator on my behalf. He was a delight to work with, and I highly recommend him!

Chris worked hard for me battling my insurance company. They tried to low ball us and Chris let them know we'd be taking them to court. Because this law firm has a reputation of following through, they knew he wasn't bluffing and came back with a significantly better offer. Many other lawyers would have just settled from the get go and pumped out as many cases as they could. Chris stuck to his guns and it worked out very well for both of us. In addition he is a walking law library, and because of the depth of his knowledge and experience, able to think "out of the box" and with tremendous creative skill. When our son was tragically killed by a negligent driver I immediately called David. I didn’t really consider a different lawyer. He was the clear choice. He will always do the "right" thing and fight for justice, regardless of the time and energy needed and the insurance company’s unlimited financial resources. He’s was all in. The value of this to our family simply can't be overstated. David Beninger, both professionally and as a person, is one of a kind.
David represented our family in a lawsuit where our son, a young man in his late 20s with a new wife and a baby on the way, was killed by a negligent driver while on his way to work. Initially the insurance company tried to blame our loved one for causing his own death. Many lawyers would have accepted the conclusions of the so called "experts" and insurance company, and turned us away. Not David. He instigated a thorough and comprehensive investigation that showed, through engineering and reconstruction, there was no fault on the part of our son. He was the innocent victim, not the cause. Through David's hard work we learned the company who employed the driver, either knew or should have known the driver had no business being behind the wheel of a truck. Without David's unfailing belief in our case our family, including his new wife and unborn child, would have been out in the cold.
David cared for our family with unfaltering compassion, and answered each and every phone call any of us made to his office almost immediately. Our family was in the throws of the worst tragedy of our lives when David took on our case. David took the weight of the day to day dealing with the legal aftermath, leaving us the ability to begin healing, resulting in a well-founded a sense of security.
David, and his carefully chosen partners and staff, were all there for not just me, but for our entire family through a lengthy and complex battle to hold those responsible for the tragic unnecessary death of our son responsible. At our request he successfully made sure we were largely insulated from the horrific facts of our case, to the extent that was reasonable under the circumstances. That was a blessing.
I think it's also important to comment on David as a person. He told us what happened when we asked, even if it was not what we wanted to hear. David cares about people first. To that end he is extremely generous with his time. He wanted to know about our family. It was important to him to know who our family is and who our son was. He wanted to get to know our family: it wasn’t a chore. Did our son like fishing? What were his favorite hobbies? Did he enjoy playing soccer? Was he a Seahawks fan? How many children did he want? What was his personality?
David couldn't change what happened, but as a person, not just as a lawyer, he made it clear that our family came first. What he could do was find justice our son and our family. His result far exceeded our expectations and assured the security of his widow and daughter. As a 2 time client and a lawyer myself when my family had an overwhelming life changing trauma, there was only one lawyer who came to mind to help our family, that was David Beninger. David is in a league of his own. I highly recommend him.
