I went to Mr. Kramer when I had zero trust for anyone. I was involved in a very serious situation that caused so much fear and doubt for me. From the moment I met with Ron he listened to my situation, offered excellent advice, and NEVER judged me. He believed in my when I didn’t believe in myself. He took on my case without hesitation and saw it through to the end. He helped get me to the outcome I wanted and was never pushy or sneaky like most attorneys I’ve dealt with. I highly recommend Ron Kramer to handle your case.

Mr. Kramer had my case for several months before he 'changed his mind' and dumped my case. I sustained a brain injury and neck/back trauma. Mr. Kramer explained that he liked the easy, 'clean' cases. My case was too messy, so after months of representative, he quit. He never spoke to my doctor, and he never attempted to settle my case. He also slowed my treatment by insisting that I wait for a neuropsychologist until he found one for me. He didn't want me going to just anyone. So that treatment was delayed by a couple of months. Mr. Kramer is not a man of his word. In my case, as a client, I meant nothing to him.

Kramer law is a great choice for a injury attorney. They have the best staff. They show how much the care and are always friendly and willing to help. They took a great portion of my stress and handled everything in my case.

Believe the one star reviews - negative reviews clearly get attacked here and I was pre-warned of that by the British-accent assistant when I asked for a refund and wanted to take my business elsewhere. The assistant charged me $75 for a consultation fee and I got rescheduled FOUR times in less than 72 hours for the same appointment. There was always an excuse of how Emy had some crisis going on, but never any compassion or understanding that clients are going through their own crises and require timely service. After requesting for a refund multiple times, I was threatened by the assistant with “don’t even think about posting a negative review about this.” The rude and disrespectful communication from Emy’s assistant speaks volumes to the type of lawyer I would have been working with. So grateful I didn’t pay the retainer and sign on with her. Definitely dodged a bullet.

If you’re looking for a law firm stay away from this place. They have horrible customer service they say they’re gonna get back to you and they don’t I don’t care how busy you are you can make time to call back but apparently they can’t do that. They don’t care about their customers. To save you a headache avoid Arcadia law firm!

If I could do a zero star: I would. I am writing this review because I feel a moral obligation to warn people about trusting this law firm. From the outset, it is deeply concerning that the attorney failed to prioritize my case by neglecting to thoroughly review the information provided by the guardian ad litem. This negligence reflects a lack of professionalism and diligence on their part. By disregarding crucial documentation that could have supported my case, they effectively hindered my ability to present a strong argument in court. Furthermore, the attorney's consistent denial of my requests to submit important documents is nothing short of unacceptable. As a client, I have the right to expect prompt and efficient service, especially when it comes to gathering evidence. The attorney's failure to prioritize my needs and instead divert their attention to unnecessary communication with the opposing party's attorney is a clear indication of their lack of commitment and disregard for my case. Equally troubling is the attorney's attempt to pass me off to other attorneys under the guise of providing them with "experience." This is a direct betrayal of my trust and confidence in their abilities. When I hired this attorney, I did so with the expectation that they would personally handle my case and provide the necessary expertise. Instead, they attempted to pawn me off onto less experienced attorneys, essentially treating my situation as a learning opportunity at my expense. The sense of bias that I felt from the beginning of my case is deeply distressing. It is the duty of any attorney to approach each case with objectivity and a commitment to ensuring their client's rights are protected. However, it appears that my attorney failed to uphold this fundamental principle. As a result, i was forced to constantly prove my worth as a fit mother, adding unnecessary stress and burden to an already difficult situation. I would have never hired anyone from this law firm after my initial experience with Britt Beckstrom. However, after moving on and hiring Brian Eggleston, he moved to this law firm and my experience with Brian was even worse than my experience with Mr Beckstom.

We hired a new attorney and he acted so surprised about many things that were brought up to his attention. Barbara Melendez is brilliant! She takes the time to personally talk to you and put you at ease. Her secretary is very responsive as well. Barbara submitted the application in record time and from start to finish the whole process to get a green card took only a few months. She is honest and hard-working and her prices are very reasonable. Thank you for your excellent service!

Shawn Farris said he could help me dispute a contract with my previous employer and get me what I was owed after paying his $50 consultations fee. I didn’t hear from him for 2 months after. He kept saying he was busy and would get to it. 2 months later he said he had a conference call with them and they sent a check for $1500 dollars. They owe me $60k! Then no contact after that! I got a bill from him for $1480! He won’t respond to emails or call back after leaving messages with his receptionist. Not very professional at all! I paid him and am now working with a real professional.

Ladies, if you are getting divorced, this is the place you want to go, specifically Bart Johnson's team. Bart in particular will comfort and console you and even take you to his home in the avenues and sleep with you. Pictures of him and his clients have been taken exiting and kissing outside of his home, he prefers women of authority, like a doctor or a principal at a school as examples. If you want them to win a case for you however, that is where they lack. They file a lot, but don't succeed in much other than waste your money but at least you get screwed in more ways than one.

I engaged John Snow to represent me in March of 2023 with the only request being to remove a Trustee who had embezzled millions of dollars from a family Trust. The issue with it was that it implicates Kirton McConkie in the fraud so I made certain Parsons Behle had no problem going after “The Lords Lawyers” to which John responded “of course not” On April 14th 2013 he issued a letter to KMC law requesting answers to various questions but in the end has nothing to do with removing the Trustee. KMC Law refused to respond and John brought in Angus Edwards and Mindy Kids to assist. On June 7th or almost two months later Mr Edwards sent the exact letter knowing there would be no response.. August 9th 2023 the three attorneys filed an unrelated derivative claim against my siblings but did confirm the KMC fraud within the body; but just refused to add KMC as a defendant in this $100M estate case. August 18th The attorneys filed amended complaint forgetting to add the summons. They refiled three weeks later on Sept 12th but forgot to verify the complaint. Oct 3rd; I complained to John Snow via emails to which he responded “I do not have the time to read or respond to your questions and we are “done”! I paid approx $75k in fees and accruals to have a trustee removed and instead I was dropped the day before the hearing in which I was forced to go pro se against KMC who Judge Faust let off with a false Jurisdiction issue. He wasted 7 months of my life; took all of my money; and left me with no representation to face the law firm who refuses to account for my parents $100m estate which has been embezzled by my sister and Craig McCullough through “The Old Switcheroo”… Please review case# 230905835 wherein John Snow states Mr McCullough KMC Law has a Professional Conflict of interest and everything the law firm did should be “void” When asked why he refused to go after KMC Law and stand behind his words; he responded “just because I said it does not mean it is true”. All that Parsons and the three attorneys needed to say last March is “sorry; we have a conflict of interest”. But chose instead to breach their fiduciary duty to me and my daughters in favor of apparently keeping their fiduciary duty to the most prestigious religiously affiliated law firm in Utah.. I’m speechless as to how cold hearted and ruthless these attorneys are I’ve been dealing with for four years while being prohibited to see my own dad who is still alive and abandoned by KMC Law who he paid hundreds of thousands in fees to have them protect him; and not my sister Lisa Stephens and her husband Bryan.. Greed is a terrible curse..

Thought he was a good lawyer, went through depositions in a personal injury case. Ryan and Christian Burridge abandoned me after that, never heard from them again, until mr. Burridge notified me he was withdrawing from my case leaving Ryan as my council. I tried to call him with the number provided, facebook, every means I could think of. I finally gave up, but I would suggest you seriously reconsider if your thinking of hiring him. You would never know if he abandoned you too. I would have been ok if he a least told me he needed to drop the case, but nothing, really. Not professional.

Ryan is a dedicated and straight forward attorney. He's assisted me with multiple cases as a Hired Attorney. He never boasts anything he is unable to deliver. He'll tell you how it is from the beginning and will go above and beyond the scope of his responsibilities to see you taken care off. He operates on a professional platform but his sincerity is so genuine he'll come off as a friend. I've seen him perform in court. He fearlessly defends his clients, putting himself at risk in the process because that's the level of commitment he brings to the table. I'd highly recommend him to any family member, friend, or stranger in need of his legal services.

I had some criminal charges that were affecting my license with DOPL. I consulted with Ryan and he not only helped me save my professional license, he worked on the criminal case to get the charges dismissed. Although the process was very stressful, Ryan was intelligent and understanding with me and my wife. He got the case against me dismissed and represented me in the licensing case. He was really well prepared and honestly made the state attorney look bad. I would highly recommend Ryan as an attorney.

Honestly, I could not have asked for a better attorney. First, I never hoped to ever need an attorney for my divorce, but secondly, I always heard about how horrible attorney's are for returning their client's phone calls. Never have I been more wrong. Who would have thought my attorney would be so quick to answer all of my questions whether it be through email, phone, or sometimes even for a last minute in-office visit? Unfortunately, divorce is becoming more and more common. If anyone needs a divorce, this is the guy to go to!

For over 20 years Mr. Abbott has been my general business Lawyer. Specifically, I have hired him to represent me in four matters; to setup the Corporation, a partnership buyout, a Licensing dispute and a Real Estate matter. I have been pleased with the work that was done on all four matters. All of the staff at the office are professional, available and respond quickly to my concerns. I also like how the tasks that make up a legal case are dispatched efficiently. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of when being billed for services. Mr. Abbott has always given me good legal advice and I would highly recommend his services.

I had a medical malpractice case, in which I had originally hired a lawyer who should never had taken the case on in the first place. After nearly five years of going no where that lawyer quit my case claiming financial reasons. I called Nelson's office the same day I got the letter, explained the situation and was told to come up the next day with all my documents. After consulting with him, he said he would try to help me, there were lots of things wrong and improperly handled but he saw that I had a legitimate claim. He was able to save my case and took me through to a settlement that I was very lucky to get, after the major errors by my previous attorney. Nelson and his office staff were very responsive to any call or email I sent. They kept me fully informed through out the process and they demonstrated they cared about me and my case. Hopefully I will never again need a malpractice attorney, but I would call on Nelson if ever I did. Wish I had met him before I got involved with the first one, who cost me valuable time and thousands of dollars.

Very hard to get a hold of. Went by office during business hours. Nobody was there. Don’t know what to do. Sent an email that said he’s going to take our real property. I don’t know what that means. I don’t know what to do.

Fantastic Lawyer. Made sure we were well informed and always professional and courteous. Relayed information in a way that we understood and avoided the typical rhetoric of lawyer talk. Down to earth and easy to talk to and listens well. We put our trust in Mr Burdsal and he delivered. Top of the line Lawyer and individual.

Nathan is helping us with a case in preventing an individual from taking out bankruptcy. He has helped us in presenting a criminal action against this person. I have appreciated the ease in working with Nathan, his honesty in explaining our rights, and costs, along with letting us know he will do his best but the case will be determined upon it's merits. This helped us in deciding how much we are willing to risk. I don't want to be told you can't lose, and then find out I wasted a lot of money. He has helped us with other legal matters, and has been great.

My mother has used Scott for a long time and never had much of an issue, HOWEVER...I retained him in January of 2023 for a child protective order I had filed on behalf of my son against my ex, and in court, despite the overwhelming evidence, he more or less just sat there and did nothing which allowed my ex to get it dismissed. Fast forward to now (December 2023) and I have filed to gain full custody of my son, called Scott again more due to history to see if he'd be willing to take the case, said he would but we'd need to get the hearing date changed due to him not being available that day, ok that's fine, we also had a verbal agreement between us directly that he was willing to wait on payment for retainer so we could get the money, but he would start on everything right away, upon attempting 3 DIFFERENT TIMES to come in and sign the retention paperwork, I was turned away by paralegals that "needed to talk to him first" about what? I made the agreement with him, not with a paralegal. Finally was able to come in to sign the papers, but I was told by Josie that he "needed everything up front first" 100% contrary to what we agreed to, and that "HE was the one who said it" yet refused to ask him with me standing there to confirm, as he came out of his office and saw me sitting there, and to this day still have not gotten a return email or phone call to confirm or deny any of this Like others have said, if you want to not be jerked around by this firm, then don't bother even talking to them, and they've missed out on a retainer and a guaranteed case win that would bolster their reputation Oh well 🤷‍♂️

Scott did help me with my divorce case, but when it came to needing follow up done he sent a letter to my ex and pretty much told me I was on my own to fill the paperwork out, but charged me 300 for what! sending a letter!!! He wouldn't continue helping me with my case but charged me anyways. Sounds like a waste of money to me! Sad Just make sure he likes you and maybe he will finish the case.

I worked with Kevin Tanner through my employer's legal insurance program. I reached out to him for a consultation on a car accident settlement with an insurance company. In just 30 minutes, he gave me valuable advice that enabled me me settle the claim for a very fair payment from the insurance company. He was also very honest in his recommendations and did not try to upsell me on expensive services I didn't need for my situation.

Attorney Karra Porter said she would send a gramma request to get a 911 call and other police records for our family. After a month or two I called back to follow up and her paralegal stated that they had forgot to do it due to a family emergency but that they would definitely still do it. After another month or so I called back to see if there were any updates and was not called back. Over a period of close to 4-6 months they have not returned my phone calls or voicemails. At one point the receptionist told me that Karra would call me back the next day and she did not. If they were not interested or willing to look into this I would have found another attorney. But both Karra and her paralegal said they would do this for me and they did not; or if they have done it they have not given me any updates. Due to this delay we have now passed the 1 year mark of my family member’s passing and may not be able to hold the city accountable if there was in fact any neglect of duty. I believed that Karra was sincere in her willingness to help out my family but due to either her failure to act or failure to inform us of any actions taken, she has done our family more harm than if she would have simply declined.

I met with Mr. Hanks seeking assistance in obtaining alimony that my ex-husband had not paid for several months. His counsel to me was to write a letter requesting the behind payments, when I received no reply he also sent a letter of request, again no reply. This was my first insight into Mr. Hanks ethics and moral code....while he represented me in this case, he treated all involved with dignity....offering the opportunity for my ex to bring the balance due before going into court. I again was impressed with the due diligence that Mr. Hanks and his assistant performed in representing my request, at the same time conferring with my ex-husband to give him the opportunity to resolve the payment issue before going before the judge. In all of my conversations with Mr. Hanks, I felt a genuine sense of respect , a confidence in his abilities and knowledge of my matter, and a integrity of character that is far too often missing. I would recommend James B. Hanks without any hesitation!!

This was the worst experience of my life. He was over priced, having his paralegal do the majority of the work which was mostly reading over what I wrote and putting into a template (i.e. had no value). He would call me up randomly and discuss things unrelated to the case and bill me for it. He did not seem to care or put effort into my case and reviewed it on the way to court with little to say at court. If anything, he seemed to give fuel and power to the other attorney and reiterated what was already written. I was ill advised and seemed worse off having hired him.

I hired Roger and James Mcconkie to take on my case after my last attorney botched another case and absconded out of the country with the settlement. My case was a very tough case for Roger & James to take over since it was left in such a mess by my last attorney. They both did such an extraordinary job representing me and my case that I am still amazed a couple of years later that they got me such a remarkable settlement. Thank you Roger and James for your incredible representation. I will use you again and refer you to anyone I know that needs a great lawyer!

I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. This was the 3rd time and left me with the most injuries. I had not hired an attorney after the first 2 times being hit but I've known of Roger and that he was an attorney. Fortunately for me, I just happen to cross paths with him. He knew me well enough to ask what happened and I told him. After that I thought I would try to get him to represent me with the accident. He does not usually do personal injury work but he and his partners at Workman Nydegger agreed to have Roger take my case. Legal issues do take time to resolve but Roger took care of everything. I had Roger's direct cell line and could get in touch with him or two of his assistants at any time. I feel fortunate to have had someone of Roger's talents on my side.

Roger was hired to litigate a case against an attorney that absconded with hundreds of thousands of dollars from our small business. Roger was asked to secure a TRO against the defendant until the case could reach a hearing. Roger unilaterally opted against the TRO. Before we knew it the funds were gone. Roger is more interested in his own status and convenience than the interests of his clients. I strongly recommend against hiring him.

What a Personal Injury Lawyer Can Do for You

A personal injury lawyer specializes in helping individuals who have been physically or emotionally injured due to the negligence or wrongful actions of another party. Whether you've been hurt in a car accident, suffered a slip and fall, or experienced medical malpractice, a personal injury attorney works to ensure you receive fair compensation for your injuries. They can help you recover damages for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related expenses.

Personal injury lawyers act as your advocate, navigating the legal system on your behalf and dealing with insurance companies to ensure you get the compensation you deserve. They understand how to handle complex legal matters and help you avoid common pitfalls.

When Should I Hire a Personal Injury Lawyer?

Hiring a personal injury lawyer can be beneficial in many situations where you've been harmed due to another's negligence. Some key scenarios include:

  • Severe injuries: If you've suffered significant or permanent injuries that result in substantial medical bills, a lawyer can help ensure you are fairly compensated.
  • Long-term or permanent disability: Injuries that affect your ability to work or require ongoing medical treatment are complex, and a lawyer can help estimate long-term damages.
  • Disputed liability: If the responsible party or their insurance company denies liability for your injury, a lawyer can gather evidence and advocate on your behalf.
  • Insurance company lowball offers: Insurers often try to settle personal injury claims for as little as possible. A lawyer can negotiate to get you a fair settlement.
  • Medical malpractice claims: Injuries caused by a doctor, nurse, or healthcare provider due to negligence require a personal injury lawyer experienced in medical malpractice law.
  • Exposure to hazardous substances: If you've been injured due to exposure to toxins, chemicals, or dangerous substances, a lawyer can help pursue legal action.

Hiring a lawyer early in the process is crucial, especially if you're unsure of the full extent of your injuries or damages.

What Does a Personal Injury Lawyer Do?

A personal injury lawyer provides a wide range of services to guide you through the legal process and maximize your compensation. They can:

  • Evaluate your case: A lawyer will assess the strength of your claim and determine whether you have a viable case.
  • Investigate the incident: Gathering evidence such as police reports, witness statements, medical records, and expert opinions is key to building a strong case.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies: Lawyers handle communications with insurance companies to ensure you receive a fair settlement and aren't taken advantage of.
  • File a lawsuit if necessary: If a fair settlement can't be reached, the lawyer can file a personal injury lawsuit on your behalf and represent you in court.
  • Help calculate damages: This includes medical expenses, lost wages, future medical needs, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
  • Prepare and file legal documents: Lawyers handle all the paperwork and deadlines associated with your case, including filing motions and discovery requests.
  • Represent you at trial: If your case goes to trial, the lawyer will argue your case before a judge and jury to obtain the compensation you deserve.

How Are Personal Injury Lawyers Paid?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. This means they only get paid if they win your case, either through settlement or a court judgment. Here’s how it works:

  • Contingency fee percentage: The lawyer will take a percentage of the settlement or award, typically between 25% and 40%, depending on the complexity of the case and the stage at which it's resolved.
  • Costs and expenses: In addition to the contingency fee, the lawyer may deduct other costs associated with the case, such as filing fees, expert witness fees, and court costs. These expenses are often advanced by the lawyer and repaid out of the settlement.
  • No upfront payment: Since the lawyer’s fee is contingent on winning, you usually don’t pay anything upfront.

Always discuss the lawyer’s fee structure during your consultation to avoid surprises.

How Much Does a Personal Injury Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a personal injury lawyer depends on the specifics of your case and the lawyer’s fee structure. However, since most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, the amount you pay will depend on the outcome of your case. Here are some general guidelines:

  • Contingency fees: Typically range from 25% to 40% of the settlement or award. The percentage may increase if the case goes to trial or requires an appeal.
  • Other costs: In addition to the lawyer's fee, you may be responsible for case-related expenses such as expert witness fees, medical record retrieval fees, and court costs. These are often deducted from your settlement, so you won't have to pay out of pocket.

While the cost may seem high, hiring an experienced lawyer can significantly increase the amount you recover, making it a worthwhile investment.

Top Questions to Ask a Personal Injury Lawyer

Before hiring a personal injury lawyer, it's essential to ask questions to ensure you’re choosing the right representation. Here are some important questions to ask:

  1. What is your experience with personal injury cases like mine?
Make sure the lawyer has handled cases involving similar injuries or accidents.
  2. What is your fee structure?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges a contingency fee and what percentage they will take from any settlement or award.
  3. How long will my case take?
While it's hard to predict, a lawyer can give you an estimate based on similar cases they’ve handled.
  4. How often do you take cases to trial?
Some lawyers prefer to settle quickly, while others are more comfortable going to court if necessary.
  5. Will you personally handle my case?
In larger firms, junior lawyers or paralegals may handle some aspects of your case, so it's important to know who will be managing your claim.
  6. Do you have references from past clients?
Speaking with past clients can provide valuable insight into the lawyer’s effectiveness and professionalism.

How to Check the Credibility of a Personal Injury Lawyer

To ensure you’re hiring a credible personal injury lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Check bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is licensed and in good standing with your state’s bar association. Look for any history of disciplinary actions.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Online platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, and Google reviews can provide insight into the lawyer's reputation and client satisfaction.
  • Look at their track record: Review their experience with personal injury cases, particularly how many cases they’ve successfully resolved or taken to trial.
  • Ask for references: Credible lawyers should be willing to provide references from past clients who can vouch for their work.
  • Check professional memberships: Lawyers who are members of respected organizations, like the American Association for Justice (AAJ), often have a solid reputation in the field.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To get the most out of your first meeting with a personal injury lawyer, prepare the following:

  • Detailed account of the accident: Write down everything you remember about the incident, including dates, times, and locations. Include any witnesses or police reports if available.
  • Medical records and bills: Bring any documentation of your injuries, treatments, and associated medical costs.
  • Insurance information: Provide your insurance details and any communication you’ve had with the other party’s insurance company.
  • Employment and income records: If your injury has impacted your ability to work, bring proof of lost wages or reduced earning capacity.
  • Photos or videos: If you have photos of the accident scene, your injuries, or property damage, bring them to your consultation.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Prepare a list of questions to ask, including how the lawyer will handle your case and what you can expect in terms of timeline and outcome.

By preparing thoroughly for your first consultation, you’ll help the lawyer understand your case more quickly and get a better sense of your legal options.
