Attorney Yona Gregory was appointed as financial conservator of my step mother. Given the circumstances of my step mothers situation it is my opinion it would be a difficult case for any attorney. Not only did Yona maintain my step mothers best interests at all times she was always very professional, courteous and kind. With that being said I also retained Yona to handle my step mothers estate upon her passing. She continues to have a very dedicated work ethic. Mark Zeck provided excellent suggestions on an alternative course of action prior to pursuing legal action against a corporate entity. We were directed to try the Attorney Generals Office first, who, within 48 hours, had contacted the Corporate entity and in turn they contacted us an we settled with a positive outcome. Stephen is by far the best real estate lawyer I have ever come across. I recently bought a house that took me more than 7 months to close. Just days before the scheduled initial closing, the bank took the property from the owner which meant the house was foreclose and was offered as a short sale. Stephen, stood by me knowing that I wanted the property. he encourage me, reached out to the other party's attorney to ensure the short sale process was sped up. At the end I got the key to the property with many thanks to the selfless help of Stephen. He is very indispensable and I was able to reach him at work, though his cell phone even at his home phone. This is my second dealing with Stephen, he help closed my first home which I sold in 2018 and now to my new home. I will highly recommend with Stephen.

We used Paul Kaplan's office to sell our house in New Haven. We had relocated across country before we had a chance to sell it, so we had to sell it remotely. Fortunately, we found some wonderful people to buy it and could do a for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) transaction, but we needed a capable seller's attorney's office to handle all the paperwork for us.
The entire transaction was as smooth as it could possibly be. Paul's office was very competent. We gave Paul a limited power-of-attorney to handle the transaction for us. Aside for a last minute scurry to find a notary public here (hint: use Yelp) here, there really weren't any problems at all. Anytime I had any questions at all, I knew that I could call Paul or toss him an e-mail and he'd call me right back.
After closing, Paul's office wired the balance of funds as soon as they settled the books (one business day!). Because of wire fraud, they were careful to make sure I was really me, and my bank account was really mine, which I appreciated.
Over all, I couldn't have been happier. Well, I could have been. I would have liked to have shaked the hands of Paul and his team for doing such a great job. What could have been a stressful situation (remotely selling a house) was instead a dream.
Now we have the funds to fix the fixer-upper we bought on the west coast!

Where to begin?! In June of 2019 I was placed in a very scary legal situation during my professional career. From the moment I called the office I felt at ease. They were kind, compassionate, understanding, non-judge mental, and most of all realistic. I made several trips to the office in Stamford. Mark and Amanda sat with me, went over all the details of the case, explained everything to me, and assured me they would do everything in their power to fight for a positive outcome. I found Ed on this website and consulted with him about my outstanding debt that I couldn’t collect from one of my ex-tenants. I called twice because the first time I had to cut the call short because I was running to another meeting, he was available both times. Ed was very straight forward and told me his assessment of the situation. There was no sugar coating and upselling.
