I was referred to John Clarke after contacting five or six other lawyers that did not want to bother with my case; I got the impression that they didn't think it was worth it for them. When I first spoke with John, he actually listened! And then he asked me pertinent questions. Throughout our interactions, he called to keep me up to date and if I called him, he got back to me by end of business day. He made us feel as if our case was the most important one he had, which I know it wasn't.
John is the ultimate professional and it would be hard to find anyone better, in so many ways. From diligence and responsiveness to patience and understanding, he has all the traits needed to guide you through any negotiations/agreements or trial.

Mr. Clarke is tough and smart! After my house was sold at a foreclosure auction, the bank sued me for a deficiency of $150K. He analyzed the case carefully and found that the servicer, which had acquired the loan from the original lender, hadn't filed the correct documents to prove standing. As a result the court dismissed the case. I only wish I had hired him before they took my house!

A friend recommended we speak to Mr. Clarke after my husband and I were injured in an accident. We weren't sure how to proceed. Mr. Clarke took 90 minutes to get all the details of our case, and clearly explain what remedies we could realistically seek. He also explained how are damages would be assessed, and the pros and cons of settling the case prior to suit. We were very impressed by his professionalism, knowledge and dedication to his clients.

Attorney Rogers handled a lawsuit brought against 3 sisters by one sister regarding a trust that was set up by our deceased father. It was complicated and emotional. I worked with David for several years before he opened his own firm. He handled the collections and delinquencies for our condo association. David was great in his communication to us! He always kept the Board up to date, returned phone calls in a very timely manner and always had a positive attitude about things as well as handling our collections superbly. When I became Board president again in 2015 I called David to discuss the possibility of us hiring him back; we were ready to fire the current attorney and look for new counsel. Unfortunately David told me he was no longer practicing in the area of condo law. I was disappointed. When coaxed, he gave me the names of two attorneys/partners in their own firm. We proceeded to interview these 2 attorneys as well as 2 others firms. We hired the attorneys David recommended and are still very happy with them. Lawyers usually get a bad reputation on not being easy to talk to, but Matt is the exception. I can easily reach him, and when I have a problem he is easy to talk to. It is not oh what is this going to cost me. You can actually talk and work things out without feeling cornered.
I had identity theft and was hit with a law suite with a company I did not owe. Matt was easy to talk to and friendly to talk to. This company did not have my address right, and Matt fixed it for me. After being in the hospital for brain surgery like I have and then having identity problems, it was nice to put this behind me.

Mrs. Goldberg was the most knowledgeable person in my issue. I had a problem with another attorney trying to collect a life insurance policy from a friend who had passed. I was told by my previous attorney it would take about 3 months or so to get it resolved. For unknown reasons my previous attorney let it drag out 18 months for a simple issue. I contacted and hired Mrs. Goldberg and she got everything resolved in 5 weeks. I just received the life insurance check today. She is the best. Answers all my questions. We met with Ms. Odelia to go through, review & determine the necessary paperwork needed to put in place so that our children will have an easy time when the time comes that they need to act on our behalf and for when we pass. We had additional questions as one child lives in a different state and is affected by different rules. We have other unique situations that Odelia is also working on to help us with. I was a first time real estate buyer here in Florida. The commercial transaction was related to both an E2 visa on my side and a 1031 tax exchange on the side of the sellers. This required quite a bit of flexibility and creativity to accommodate the interests of everyone involved in the matter. Fortunately Drew proved to be knowledgeable on finding a solution for the timing of the contract that allowed for all to go through smoothly.
The fact that Drew was promptly available to work out any issues is a BIG plus that should be taken into account when looking for an attorney.
In the end, everything went well and everyone was happy.

I could not be happier with the outcome of my first home purchase after hiring Melville Law, PA to handle the whole transaction.
Mr. Melville's knowledge and expertise to navigate through what can be a grueling and stressful process was a buyer's dream come true for me.
I was hoping to win a bid and buy my first home on an auction website.
Mr. Melville advised me on how bid most effectively which allowed me to win the bid that yielded a large amount of home equity with my first home purchase. Not only did he help me attain the winning bid, he was able to persevere a very one-sided, “As-Is” contract that was heavily in favor of the seller, a government-sponsored entity who owns many of the loans in the American market and can be riddled with bureaucracy.
He demanded from the seller to repair a leaky roof soffit and dying sod that were the genesis of two city code enforcement violations, that he later assisted me in getting those city code liens reduced to a fraction of the original amount owed. He accomplished this by displaying a thorough presentation in front of the city committee with the before and after improvements to the property that seller and I made as well stated my case in which he got the city violation amount heavily reduced.
He also got the seller to agree to make the repairs under an “As-Is” contract where they could have said no and been completely within their rights.
Mr. Melville had contacts within the seller’s organization who also helped shepherd the repairs through.
As the contract was nearing its expiration date, I faced several problems:
1. The roof repair had not been made;
2. I was facing eviction from my current landlord’s foreclosure;
3. It was nearing the holidays and with extended family in town, my family would have nowhere to stay if evicted before closing.
Mr. Melville went well above and beyond the call of duty, and I was completely blown away by the results his firm produced as well as succeeded in getting me closed on time.
I would utilize Mr. Melville services over and over again for any real estate transaction in the future and will be recommending him to all my family and friends who need help with any type of real estate down the road. Thanks again Melville Law for your outstanding services and amazing results!
