Mike worked on our very complex lawsuit against a local contractor. Mike assisted in thoroughly researching case law for the trial. Mike also assisted with interviewing and selecting our expert witnesses. The experts, coupled with skilled attorneys, were the key to our win!
In the courtroom, Mike was extremely helpful in keeping track of the information being presented by the defense. This proved to be very helpful as testimony can immediately affect a pre-established strategy. Mike's ability to manage and prioritize the information being revealed was critical.

The attorney Mr. Bashir was very professional. He handled our partnership documents when another partner was leaving our practice, and we were inducting another member in our company. If your are experiencing problems with debt or facing a difficult time in your life you must contact Mr. Gilman immediately. Our house is worth far less than the amount we owe on it and we must relocate. I found Ms. Potthast's name in SuperLawyers, and called her office to ask if she could help me with my case. Her nice paralegal transferred me directly to her. It turned out that my case fell into a different branch of administrative law than what she does, but she spent almost an hour on the phone with me suggesting different places I could try, and emailed me more information after the call. I was so impressed and touched by her generosity. She apologized for not being able to help me herself, but she helped me more today than anyone else I had called in the past four weeks. I hired Ms. Potthast from a referral by another firms lawyer. (that firm was already representing someone in this matter) The legal matter involved what I call a frivolous lawsuit regarding a rental property I owned and had sold. I had many documents for this property, not in the best organization. Ms. Potthast took my information, directed me me locate in my files specific documents I may have overlooked. I received a mailing from Warth’s law firm as a form of ‘automated mail communication’. Unknown to me, I still had a outstanding judgement that I was under the impression had been satisfied. This was a petty offense and completely revenue driven by Ocean City. Upon contacting him, he educated me right away regarding my offense and suggested he’d look into ways to resolve it. What should one look for in a divorce lawyer? Well, I had no idea, but I’ve now been through the journey (and emerged successful). So, let me share what I’ve learned: Five things I’d tell a friend to look for in a family law attorney:
1. Knowledgeable and experienced about family law;
2. Tough and convincing in court and also part of the system (knowledgeable of and friendly with peers);
3. Diligent and demonstrates document preparation;
4. Informative and communicative while being realistic (no lofty promises, just the truth).
5. Last, and most importantly perhaps: Integrity and an honest concern for his clients

Cares about clients and wants to get you a positive outcome without bankrupting you. I have learned that you can pretty much divide divorce attorneys into 2 categories: one group that simply wants to churn information back and forth between attorneys as well as between attorney and client in way that simply bills hours and accomplishes little until the 11th hour when it could have been settled in the first or second hour. And then there is a group, like Karen, that truly wants to problem solve, propose solutions, avoid litigation and get an outcome for her client that is both fair and reasonable in cost. Karen is honest, dedicated and she told me what I needed to hear rather than what I wanted to hear. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I was fortunate to have someone recommend her to me and, every time I mentioned her to someone in the legal community in Maryland (4x), the response from each attorney was overwhelmingly positive. When we took our case to Alexandra she was the fourth lawyer we had seen but the first one to say that our case was feasible. Thanks to her we were able to get our hardship case approved. Jon handled my medical malpractice claim. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to communicate the laws, process and options clearly so that a lay person can understand. Early on he developed a strategy to handle the case, explained it to us for our concurrence and executed it to a tee. He is aggressive but looks for a satisfactory resolution without necessarily going to court. His extensive background in this area and innumerable contacts in the field made the process relatively painless. He and his staff (Missy) were always available to meet with us or to discuss things over the phone. As we proceeded through the process Jon kept us advised of what was happening even as things moved slowly thorough the system. Jon Brassel was my attorney for a wrongful death case. My husband died from aortic dissection, that could have been prevented. Jon came from his office in Annoppolis to Salisbury to meet with me. If I had to use only two words to describe Jon they would professional and companionate. You need both of those qualities when in a situation such as mine. I was 36 years old, our son was 8, devastated would be putting it mildly.
When we met he had some information I sent him. I was afraid I was going to break down at this meeting. He ask questions, let me tell my story, and with his professional and compatiante manner I got through it. Leaving that day feeling hopeful. She is amazing!!! The opposing attorney attempted to deliberately miss the case deposition date then tried to alter an agreement entered under oath.
