My husband and I had to fill out our wills, durable power of attorneys, and advance directives. I had heard Karen speak at a meeting at my company, and I was very impressed with how she made the presentation and in the way she answered questions from the audience. I knew she was the lawyer for us. I saved her information for a couple of years (procrastinating!), but we finally got up our nerve to go see her - what a pleasant experience she made of filling out the papers that we thought would be really hard! Karen was very thorough and made sure we understood each part of the documents. Her office and staff were also tip-top. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing her services. Kevin assisted us with the resolution of a claim against a particularly difficult party who insisted on appealing multiple rulings against them. What should have been settled by reasonable business people or a single hearing about the facts of the case, the defendant and his attorney insisted on using every means possible to delay and draw out the process. Although this wasn't a huge claim, the issue was based on fraudulent billing by the defendant and we wanted to see it through the entire process on a moral basis. Kevin did a great job getting the defendant to court and making our side of the case clear. We prevailed and Kevin also assisted in collecting the judgement after the defendant began stalling after the judgement was rendered. I highly recommend Kevin for your business law concerns!

My neighbor was claiming ownership of a large piece of my property and had built a fence on it. Kevin Best review the claim with county property records and agree that I had ownership of the property. He review my property rights with me and suggest a plan of action to remove the fence and on keeping her from excising ownership of it. The plan was successful and the encroach fence was removed. Currently she is staying off the property.
Kevin was more then helpful when the Home Ownership Association question the fence removal. His knowledge of HOA convention rules were very helpful in responding to the Community Association.
I would hire Kevin again.

My experience with the Law Office of Kevin J. Best has been a very positive one and I plan on maintaining a professional relationship with this attorney.
I had been handling my particular case myself only to have it appealed (by the person suing me) twice and moved to different courts. The person has now filed their third and final appeal (allowed) with the court of appeals. I found myself in a situation where legal representation was a must. I had ten days to respond in writing to the writ of certiorari for the court of appeals. I needed an attorney-fast!
I googled attorneys and found Kevin J. Best, located in Annapolis. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Best personally answered the phone. I was immediately able to discuss my very complicated/time sensitive situation. I scheduled an immediate office appointment (2 hours) and fees were discussed during our phone conversation so there were no surprises. I felt Mr. Best was very reasonable. During the office visit Mr. Best very clearly explained and advised me with examples on how to respond to the writ of certiorari. Since I already had a rough draft of a response and Mr. Best was not familiar with the case to date he advised me to follow through myself to keep the cost down. I worked on my response at home-emailed it to Mr. Best the next day. Within hours he revised it and put it into legal format and emailed it back to me all prepared and ready to mail to the court.
This was above and beyond my expectations. All I had left to do was print, make copies and certify mail it to the court. I made the court deadline with days to spare and I filed the paperwork appropriately as required by this court's rules and guidelines- which I had no idea about. All with the help of my new attorney- Kevin J. Best. If needed Mr. Best will represent me at the court of appeals.

I worked with Eric many times in the past and have found him to be acutely familiar with construction issues which is of paramount importance when litigating construction disputes. This is especially important when cross examining experts and fact witnesses. Other attorneys do not know when witnesses are being less than candid; but Eric does. I worked with Eric on a couple of construction claim disputes and quickly learned that he is one of the better attorneys in the construction litigation community. My elderly and hearing-impaired parents had an HOC discrimination case brought against them, after their realtor led them astray with incorrect information. It caused an enormous amount of stress for all of us over the period of 2 years. However, the moment Mike came into the picture, the great weight on our shoulders instantly lifted.
Mike was extremely responsive, answered all my emails thoughtfully and thoroughly, met in person when I felt like I needed to have a quick meeting, and in short, I FULLY TRUSTED HIM. This was my first court case in my 50 years, and as a fairly impatient person, I learned that there were multiple steps we had to go through, and B could not be done before waiting to see how A played out. I think legal matters just come with so many unknowns as well, which makes everything more stressful for the layperson. It was only the full trust Mike inspired that allowed me to be patient with the process, and not have a breakdown along the way!
During our lengthy mediations with the complainant, there were 3 total respondents, each with our own lawyers. It was obvious (even to my parents for whom English is a second language) that Mike was the smartest person in the room. The other lawyers threw some ideas and opinions out but Mike was clearly the leader of the group, and the respondents and their respective lawyers, followed his gentle and professional lead and pace.
It might be cliche to say that I really hope I never see him again... but if we ever find ourselves in another legal situation, I know that it will be OK as long as we have Mike Campbell on our side. I believe he will always have the best interests of his clients in mind.

Michael was the level-headed and logical person we needed to help us see through the complexity and emotions of the process. I worked with Marc for months and I couldn’t have had a better lawyer. I was fighting for custody of my kid and his mother hired a really sleazy lawyer that tried to manipulate her and the facts of the case to take my visitation away. I really felt like Marc cared about me and my rights as a father and it showed in court. It was a horrible process to go through but Marc was easy to talk to and I always felt more comfortable going into court. He also worked with me on a payment plan which was a huge factor in taking the pressure off during the case. I would highly recommend him for anyone with a family law case.

I got a consultation to get information for my brother regarding custody of his son as well as a restraining order against my nephew’s mother. After hearing Mr. Rosenfeld speak to a group of company owners, I retained him to help with contractual issues my company, Alpine Services, Inc., was having on a job in April of 2007. He worked with us on this issue until it was resolved in our favor. Since then he has worked with us on contractual issues as well as collections issues. In each case he has helped us come out on top of the problem. He has helped us collect money that seemed uncollectable by directing us in what actions to take.
Mr. Rosenfeld is very knowledgeable, and savy. He has always been available even in emergencies during non-office hours. He is low-key, conservative in his action recommendations, and very effective and result oriented.

Let me start by saying that if it had not of been for Doug Coggins, my career and future welfare could very well be jeopardized. A little while ago I got into some trouble with the Montgomery County PD and received some fairly serious criminal traffic charges. I had never been in this situation before and had no idea where to start. I met Doug under the referral of my parents and after my first visit, I immediately began to feel better. He told me that based on my past record which was pretty clean considering what I was facing and my decent sense personal integrity, the outcome of my case had a very good chance of being favorable. However, he made sure that he did not give me a false sense of hope and reminded me that I was always at the mercy of the court and that he would do everything in his power to help me. Sure enough a few weeks later Doug came through ten-fold. After our initial meeting, he met with the states attorney and was able to negotiate a deal which entailed that my more serious charges would be dismissed if I agreed to perform 24 hours of community service. I met with Doug one more time after that to discuss the details regarding my community service and how it affected my charges specifically. Following that meeting we went to court where Doug and the states attorney presented the details of our agreement before the judge and asked for an extension so that I could complete my community service. I kept in touch with Doug via e-mail letting him know when my community service was done, and a few months later we went back to court and essentially sealed the deal. The serious charges were dismissed, and the points were dropped on the less serious ones pending that I paid the fines. Doug's proficiency and courtroom demeanor were impressive to say the least and I hardly had to tell the judge anything which was very reassuring since I knew he was on top of it. I highly recommend Doug Coggins to anyone who finds themselves in a situation where they need professional guidance and someone who has their back.

I contacted Jeffrey Schultz about representing me for a small claims appeal case. From the moment I met with Mr. Schultz during the 30 minute free consultation, I could tell that he was listening carefully to the details of my case to fully understand the best approach for representing me. I contacted Mr. Rand less than a week before my scheduled hearing date. His fee for the initial consultation was very reasonable and overall his charges are reasonable. During the consultation we were able to figure the focus of my case which was a great help among all the issues I wanted to include. I decided to present my case myself and Mr. Rand spent 4 hours with me on a rainy SUNDAY afternoon to help me prepare. Tom knows many different areas of law- my complaint was against a condo association- his preparation helped me overcome the opposition which had TWO high priced lawyers presenting their case.
