We had an ongoing civil litigation with a home builder, this builder failed to commence the project on the start date, also never pounded one nail nor made any improvements by the finish date, after several attempts to get back on track with the builder, we all agreed to part ways! The story not turns very bad for us as this builder and his attorneys filed Contractors Liens, Order were requested to the Court to sell our property, his Attorneys strong armed us with threats of huge attorney fees and on and on for a couple of years. We did attempt to settle this matter with an attorney without resolution, finally we were told about this law firm, and to our amazement the case was completely settled with a very satisfactory amount!

I share office space with Jeff Landon and he is a colleague of mine but we have separate practices. When a friend of mine called me about representing him in a custody matter I told him that I did not handle family law cases so I referred him to Jeff. I regularly refer family law cases to Jeff without reservation but they are usually not friends. Because my office is adjacent to Jeff's and many hearings are conducted via Zoom, I regularly see and hear how Jeff interacts with his clients, opposing counsel, witnesses and judges. This puts me in a unique position to access his skill as an attorney and allowed me to confidently recommend him to my good friend who was fighting to retain custody of his son.
Although I regularly refer cases to Jeff, I generally do not have a personal interest in the outcome of the cases nor do I have personal relationships with the people who I refer to him. This case was different so I followed the progress with interest and attended my friend's custody hearing today to provide emotional support. Jeff did a masterful job of presenting my friend's case and exposing the false and misleading narrative presented by the other side. The judge ruled in my friend's favor and literally gave him most everything he wanted (which is unheard of in family law.) My friend could not have gotten a better outcome.
Family law is an extremely emotional and challenging area of law to practice especially when children are involved. Jeff is a great family law attorney who represents his clients zealously but is also practical, mindful of the costs of litigation and skillfully obtains great results for his clients. I'd hire him myself and will eagerly refer him to any friends or family members who need the services of a family law attorney in the future.

David failed to appear for two family court appearances. David took advantage of a young father seeking legal counsel recently in Oakland County, Mi. I will be submitting a grievance regarding David accepting retainers without appearing, failing to call his client back, failing to appear in court, and overall being unfit to provide legal counsel/services in good faith. David, you told my son he would receive his full retainer back on Monday 8/19/24 for your failure to act as his legal representation. Where is his retainer? Call Jake back, answer your calls. Several red flags about David would be he doesn’t have a paralegal. A paralegal would make sure you are in court when you are hired to be there. David doesn’t return calls, texts or emails. Do not use David for your case he’s not acting in good faith & shouldn’t be practicing currently as an attorney. David you stole my son’s time and his ability to trust his own hired counsel. You should be ashamed wasting both parties time and money. I talked to you about your behavior on Monday 8/19/24, you told me my son is your best client…. Now people can read all about how you treat your “best client”. You need rehab. And I will make sure the bar association knows every detail about your treatment of my son.

Initially I posted a question on AVVO. Kelli responded very promptly, providing accurate, specific feedback regarding technical and complicated questions and concerns I was trying to work through regarding pre-foreclosure and sale of our home. I had applied for and was denied loan modifications for our home 3 times in one year. I was struggling with how to move forward. Throughout the next couple of months, after posting initial question, Kelli continued to remain available and be an excellent resource with specific questions and concerns we came upon regarding this circumstance as we made efforts to work with the bank, banks attorneys, and realtors trying to sort out specifics and make the best decisions. After we got an offer on the house, we elected to hire Kelli to assist with review of the closing documents for the pending sale. In addition helping us with this, when unexpected complications came up, she made herself available, above and beyond expectations, during the closing week. With her help we were able to catch and correct several important oversights, and save money as well. It was so reassuring to have her support.

Ok.... I’m from Las Vegas and Reno and thought it would be good to invest in a piece of property in Hamtramck. Going into the purchase paperwork got delayed by months (very frustrating). I found Parakh Law online, the price structure for services was perfect and so were the results! I closed the deal. Two years later I wanted to sell it, my plans changed and I just wanted out. Again Parakh Law was there with great rates to look the contract over. But the deal fell through and I was stuck in limbo for a month. I contacted Kathleen’s office and within and hour I was out of the dead deal so I could pursue a new one.

Mike has a desire to be successful in his services and representing myself. This was first demonstrated to me when Mike did his research on me to determine if I was being honest with him in the beginning. When he was certain that he was given all the correct facts, he took on the case. I really appreciated this, because when he accepted my case, he was committed to it and to me. Mike would review every aspect with me and explain the alternatives including the potential cost impacts with the various options before proceeding. Mike dealt professionally with everything that needed to be addressed. He discussed the issues with me and listened to what I had to say without making any pre-judgments. Mike would summarize the issues well and keep to the facts even though the other party attempted to “rabbit trail” at every opportunity. My “after-divorce” problems continued for years as the other party would continually challenge the final order. Even in this, Mike dealt professionally and worked to keep my interests protected. Mike is a professional individual that is first looking for a mutual agreement in a divorce but when a mutual agreement is not obtainable, he worked aggressively for my interests.

I had an ugly divorce and (1) year after the judgment was final…it got worse. I selected Mike to replace my original attorney. What a great decision! Years ago, as part of my divorce I granted my ex-wife the house that we bought together while married and she assumed responsibility for it. At some point she started paying her mortgage late and that eventually found its way to my credit report (some company called PHH). Since it had nothing to do with me, I disputed the account and submitted my divorce decree that clearly shows she assumed responsibility and I no longer have any interest in the house etc. the dispute was denied and come back verified. Frustrating since I had nothing to do with it but at the time I assumed I was stuck with it because in the eyes of creditors I was still on the hook for the debt (the house wasn’t refinanced out of my name at the time). There are several 180 days late and they are the only baddies left on my report. All this brought down my credit score to 522. Philip Hamilton is a great lawyer who genuinely cares about his clients.
I had a family court case that was a custody battle between my deceased wife's brother and I.
At the time my health was really bad. I was suffering from heart disease and some other acute health issues that resulted in getting surgery.
I had been out of work and was on leave but my pay wasnt the same.

I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in June 2016. In August things started going wrong with just about everything. It was in and out of the dealership every month. After months of this, I contacted Chrysler to submit a case to their buy back department. Again, months went by and no resolution from them. I found Troy by web searches. I found Troy by searching attorneys for the Lemon Law, l liked what I read and thought I would give him a try. It would be my first time dealing with an attorney that I had never met, however my outcome was perfect. I had a 2015 Jeep Patriot that I had purchased in January of 2015 and only had 3000 miles on it. I took it in twice within 30 days for the sun roof leaking, 5 times within a month because of the check engine light. They tried to fix the sunroof but the transmission was another story. The last time they had it for 30 days and had to call engineers from Auburn Hills to come out. They literally torn that vehicle apart from top to bottom. I didn't feel comfortable with the fact they said they fixed it and it fell within the Lemon Law guidelines. My dealings with Troy were very easy I could email him information, fax it to him or need be talk with him. I learned from him that I signed the arbitration agreement which I pretty much signed my rights away because I used an employee discount something people don't realize when signing all the forms for a purchase, but if you don't sign it you cannot use the discount. However, in the end with persistence on his part he was able to get Chrysler to honor the lemon law. The middle of January 2016 I was given a refund from Chrysler all but $500 for mileage and they paid him in full. I can't thank him more for what he did, I would recommend him to anyone that needs help with a lemon.
