I had retained Heather in 2003 while going through a tough Divorce. It was a very difficult time and that's when I realized just how much she fought for me and my young son. Her tenacity and work ethic is top notch!
Twenty years later, my ex-husband had me back in court and without hesitation, I immediately contacted Heather's firm, and she took on my case, yet again. She fights for you, and fights hard. She has done so much for me during the tough times of divorce battles, etc..

Hands down the best lawyer I've ever worked with!!! She makes Johnny Cochran look like a scrub. Honestly though, Heather is professional and if you simply push the I believe in her button she will advise and assist you, then crush your case.
I had little hope in winning my custody case. I am an out of state father, going for full custody against my ex who looks amazing on paper since she is a teacher and licensed professional counselor. I first learned about the legal services that Rob Slutsky and his team can provide from a previous client. This client spoke highly of his experience and recommended I contact Rob because we had similar needs for home care assistance for our wives.
It became apparent to me on our first meeting that Rob and Sheila, a team member, were well organized and knew the DHS system inside and out. Ours was a more complicated case but with Rob's guidance and instructions and Sheila's review of the documents that were required for the DHS application, we were able to get the home care assistance in a timely manner and at the same time protect assets in a manner that was acceptable to DHS. There's no way I could have navigated the application on my own.
During preparation of the application and afterwards, in fact to this day, there were and still are questions related to the home care assistance approval. In all cases, questions have been addressed in a timely manner and within the scope of the original contract fee.
I also feel that Rob and Sheila understand the challenges that a caregiver for a loved one has and the importance of providing some home care assistance to support the family caregiver.
All in all, we made a good decision to work with Rob and his team.

Additionally, but maybe less important, he was the best dressed lawyer in court, great style and a great added representation for us and our case. It was a comfort that his self representation was a measurement of how he'd represent us.
It was important for us to leave an honest and forthright review because if you have an issue, you're going to need Brian. He's one of the good guys!

Jennifer Habel is a brilliant lawyer and an expert in family law. I had a difficult case involving law in two states, dealing with contractual obligations and needing representation in court. I hired Liz Lubker for my child custody case couple years ago. She was good with paperwork but not with hearings. I don’t know if it is a character or experience but she didn’t speak that much during the hearing and we lost. Even though we got the partial custody all the visitation expenses and distances are on me now. Opposing counsel was much more experienced and confident. Opposing counsel talked all the way during the hearing and Liz Lubker was quiet and that’s how we lost. In my opinion, you need to speak and bring as many facts as possible during 30 minute hearing to change judge’s mind.
