My wife and I have been working with her oldest brother (85 yrs old) to help him with a Will and a Living Trust. For the past 3 years we have traveled from our home in Durand Mi. to San Diego to provide him with advice and provide any help he may need to get everything right. The more we worked the more complicated and confusing this procedure became, OMG were we Stumped. This year we decided we needed professional help. So, what do you do when your 2000 miles away and don't really know anybody in a big city like San Diego, GOOGLE IT! That's exactly what we did and came up with a bunch of names of attorneys that claim to be the best anywhere. We started making calls to see who we liked the best and would be able to take care of our issues. We left voice mails and asked to have someone contact us to set up a meeting. We encountered a few who were vague and after listening to what we needed really didn’t seem too interested. Then Jason, called us and we were so happy with his attitude and wiliness to complete the needed documents on a very short notice. Everyone in that firm seemed to want to help us get everything right, signed, and registered they even worked through the weekend. So, we could rest assured that we wouldn't be caught up in a nightmare with the probate courts. Thank you, Jason, and Ashley what a great feeling to know we made the right decision when we chose you

They were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, supportive and patient with us as we figure out the best path forward to suit some of our very particular needs. It’s obviously not a fun or easy topic to discuss and they were so understanding of that giving us options and suggestions that could be relevant to us. And allowing us the time we needed to sort things out amongst our family. Sometimes we wouldn’t be able to resolve things easily so we would be at a standstill for a while between me and my husband but they were great about checking in regularly without creating any additional pressure. We also had some personal and particular road blocks that we come up against and Ashley was wonderful in giving us options and guidance around that. Both she and Jason were so kind and personable and professional. We had talked to several places before coming here and I’m so glad we did!

Stuart did a great job when he created my Trust, Will, and LLC in 2017 when he was with a different practice. Now in 2025, I needed to update my Trust so I tracked Stuart down and found him in his own practice. Very thorough, yet very easy going personality. I had very difficult IRS issue to say the least, from the first day I walk into the RJS office I could feel the weight being lifted. Ronnie and his team were there for me through out the whole process which took almost 2 years, not once did I feel I was in the fight alone. The professional service they proved over and over again. I have had other things in the past that required me to seek professional guidance and not once have I received the same care and understanding of me and my situation that Ronnie and his team gave (100%) at a time when I needed. Dealing with the IRS at any level can be a very scary place, I truly thank God for bring RJS law to my rescue because in so many ways thats what they did. If you thinking of who you should be hiring for your situation I would strongly recommend you sit down with Ronson or anyone of the team, and talk it through. If your like me and need that extra attention you will find it here, they don't miss phone calls and your email will be responded to immediately and if there is no resolution and you have to go to face the judge the experience and knowledge is there to defend you, a lot of Attorneys say they can do this until you get to that point and then they can't, they either don't have the experience or the knowledge or the Balls to see it through, RJS does. This should have been written awhile ago, sorry it hasn't been because they truly deserve it.

Our landlord was insisting that we sign a new lease for 1 year (our initial year was almost complete) and we kindly asked for a month to month contract. We were excellent tenants who took care of the house. Normally a landlord can refuse and we all move on. But this was during covid and we had no intention of moving. Eric ameliorated the situation through suggested courses of action without ever having to file a claim or do any formal proceedings. He is patient and really knows real estate law.

I contacted the office of Michael Ripley based on all the peer reviews I had read. Now I know firsthand, where the five stars come from. Above and beyond is the simple two words to convey the level of work this office, Nelia Castro, Jennifer Kiss and Becky, have done to settle my 2nd lien and modify my first with Wells Fargo, jumbo loan.
I had initally hired the staff to help me modify my first but out of the blue the 2nd lien, returned after over 5 years of no contact. Their last information saying they had written off the loan. However, 2nd liens can come back and will, once you have some equity. I would strongly encourage anyone, not to wait, because the 2nd started foreclosure as soon as the equity was enough that they would get something out of us.
Nelia can be direct when she needs to be but she, Jennifer and Becky are so compassionate. Like a light at the end of a very very long dark tunnel. Listen to them! This level of work takes a considerable amount of time and knowhow and the time and knowledge more than outweighs the compensation. They are a law firm and will need to be compensated as such so they can stay in business and have a life themselves.
Going into this, you need to realize that it is ultimately the homeowners creation of their situation at some point along the way and be willing to accept this, fully. That will be the only way you will get through this. Look at the big picture and do not get caught up in the minutia of the cost, interest rate, submission of documents and trust this law firm will give you an honest view of the situation, whether you like it or not.
We had to borrow, sell, rent a room to make this happen but we were comitted to keeping our home. The staff at Michael Ripley law stuck with us for a long time, all the long way through. I hope this office is able to stay in business. Homeowners desperately need their help and guidance because there is just no one else to turn to.
If you are in our shoes, give a call. Get that consultation. Even if you jumped through the hoops, got all the docs in on time, had the right income, it is still up to the investor to make the final decision and there is no one that has control over that but them, not us, not the law office. If you are reading this, you probably sit where we did over a year ago. It was our 2nd mod, the first 4 years ago. It is a difficult process but with the help of this office it will give you insight to making the best decisions. Good luck!

My wife left me unilaterally and unexpectedly, and took our 2 year old son with her. She also retained an attorney in San Diego, who supposedly has raving reviews, and filed a Domestic Violence Restraining Order against me.
I had to act quickly and entered my name into a link on the internet while looking for attorney's to defend myself, and voila, I received a call from Ross Veta. I was skeptical at first, but after an initial consultation, it was clear he was the right person for the task at hand due to his ‘calming effect’ on the situation I was facing. Ross and I worked together like a team, which is what people really need to do if they intend on prevailing in their case.
My estranged wife’s declaration was not only full of lies, distortions, and half-truths, but errors, including the wrong date we were married, with many other absurd allegations. I don’t know if these errors were hers, from her attorney, or his staff, but her declaration was poorly written, and her attorney should have ensured that these absurd allegations were not part of her declaration; they clearly made her out to be foolish and petty.
Ross took full advantage of the opposing party’s errors, omissions, and lies, yet focused on those things that truly mattered to the judge in our case, someone he is familiar with here in North County.
Divorce is a very emotional experience, and it has been for me since my estranged wife tried to drag me through the mud. Yet Ross Veta saw right through all the smoke and mirrors, and came up with a game plan to deal with each allegation. Needless to say, I wasn’t as impressed my estranged wife’s attorney nearly as much as I was with Ross Veta.

I was unexpectedly served with an order preventing my son and I from moving across the country two days before our planned relocation. I was losing my mind and ended up through blind luck, with Mrs. McKeag as my attorney. From day one she calmed me down, always listened to me rant and rave, and was realistic with me as far as the possible outcomes. She never looked for a way to nickel and dime me and charge me for every possible thing she could have, and above all she made me feel like my son and I were her utmost priority, as opposed to being one of many cases on her plate.
She was realistic in what we should and should not do as far as filing motions. There were several times we could have taken a course of action that would have cost me thousands, yet had a very low chance of succeeding. We saw this when the opposing council took this route. When our court dates happened she was always prepared, always solid, and never once was caught unawares. She always took the high road, and always provided solid advice.
I honestly believe that if I had not her as my lawyer things could have turned out much differently no matter how in the right I was. She is the sole reason I won my move away case and was allowed to move across the country. She was able to read the judge and adjust her approach to the case on his rulings, and decisions in cases prior to ours being called. I would say this is one of her strongest qualities as opposed to a lawyer who just gets up and reads from a legal pad, or tries to stretch and twist circumstances to fit an altered version. I consider Mrs. McKeag a friend and will never be able to express my gratitude and what a phenomenal lawyer she is adequately enough through words. Her character is beyond reproach, and if I ever find myself in a position that I am in need of council, she will be my first call.
