Luke came to my defense in an aggravated burglary charge, not only was he very responsive he kept my family informed about what was happening now and what was more than likely going to happen while I was incarcerated. On the day of my preliminary hearing he was able to get all my charges dropped without having to spend any more time in jail.Thats exactly what he told me and my family he would do. Luke is trustworthy and reasonably priced and I would reccomend him to anyone in the upper cumberland area who has charges pending.

Before you hire Jerrold L. Becker from this firm, you should understand what type of "attorney" he is.
In a recorded phone call conversation from our past "attorneys" Paul Wehmeier/Kim Burnette, Becker informed them his client was accusing my husband of answering our front door with gun raised at his clients acquaintance. If that was the case, husband would have been arrested as acquaintance was unarmed. As my husband told Paul/Kim the interaction was recorded as we RECORD everything (including 10 minutes before showing acquaintance on his clients property before coming to ours). Husband wasn't even home, my recording clearly shows acquaintance walking behind our house and me from our top deck asking them to leave-no weapon drawn thus this LIE could not be legally processed. This is just one of several questionable actions generated by Jerrold L. Becker intended to make us spend more on attorney fees.
Take our advise: Record everything with this firm as it will save you aggravation and money.

Very personable and disarming! Michael came as a reference from a former boss of mine. After two (2) years w/ the company I'm working for they hit me w/ a Non-Compete and Non-Solicitation form and told me that a condition of my employment w/ the company is me signing said form. It's complete BS and I needed to know in a hurry the merit and implications of signing such a form. He quickly sent me a retainer that outlined his fee, charged me for 2 hours of his time when he could have hit me for more, and equipped me w/ the information I needed to have/know to make an informed decision before signing the documents. Michael shoots it straight, was easy to work with, and outlined the holes as well as the teeth of the Non Compete/Non Solicitation form. Would highly recommend him!

I was severely stressed regarding my house situation to the point wherein I could lose it had I not gotten a legal support. Attorney Kennedy was God-sent to get my house back in due time. Weston did an awesome job helping to sort out our property heirship since we had no wills. He provided the necessary affidavit of heirship and Tenncare release form required to establish a property deed for the inherited land. He also assisted with limited power of attorney needed so that I could represent the family. He promptly had all documents registered at the courthouse so we could move forward with a property listing. Weston explained everything involved with the process and was very helpful in guiding me along. I would definitely work with Weston again and he is highly recommended!

I reached out to Mr. Gantte in reference to getting an affidavit that shows my husband as property owner by heirship. The land went from my husband’s grandfather to my husband’s mother. However, neither of them had a will so there was nothing showing the lineage for my husband.
Mr. Gantte explained what he needed to start the process. Once received Mr. Gantte was expeditious in getting the affidavit registered and verified no bills owed to any nursing home.
Mr. Gantte has a good personality, is easy to work with and explains things so that it is easy to understand. I would definitely use him again.

Although most of us never desire to need a lawyer, from time to time in our lives, it becomes necessary. Over the last year, I've needed a lawyer for two different situations that I faced in my life. Luke handled both cases for me. He is extremely competent and professional and also kept me up-to-date on any developments in my cases. He responds to emails and phone calls promptly. Recently, he needed to contact me during my work hours to expedite the conclusion of my case. Because I leave my cell phone in my purse on silent while I'm working, I did not hear his phone calls or see his email message. He called my company to reach me, and then was able to bring my case to an immediate conclusion as a result. I highly recommend Luke Durham.

Previous reviews speak volumes of this man's skills and concern for cases he upholds. He has turned a bleak and dreary, nearly irredeemable case into a hopeful, salvageable one.
Without going into too many details, I had to change attorneys and dump their mess onto Luke's shoulders. He had very little time to make adjustments and to absorb the case. This did not deter mister Durham. He took it upon himself to visit places handfuls of hundreds of miles away (out of state) so that he could 'paint a picture' and get the information he needed.
He did the work you would expect a phenomenal attorney to do. No stone was left unturned, no possibilities or options had gone unconsidered. He did his absolute best, and hardest work for me. My best interests were - and still are - in his heart. This is why he is my attorney, and why he should also be yours.

If I had three words to describe John Haines, it would be professional, knowledgeable and blunt. Divorce is always a sticky situation, but John navigated it like it was child's play. He's been doing this for a long time and if you think the retainer is too much to pay, it isn't. He chews gum and shoots from the hip. This does not mean he's cocky. He's just confident and that's what you need in a lawyer. Just listen to him, do what he tells you to do and it will be all over before you know it. He really isn't one of these sleazeball lawyers who is looking to overbill for every e-mail or call. I saw my ex's financials and he got billed 3-5 times a month. I never got a bill until the very end. He's there if you need him, but check your problem at the door to make sure you really need him. Divorce is emotional. He's not Dr. Phil. He's there to get you out of the predicament you're in and if it goes to court, fight for you. I appreciated his demeanor and when you hire him, you will too.
The work was exceptional, the price was fair, the stories were hilarious and I'd give him and the boys in the office 5 stars any day of the week. Outstanding work!

I heard about Jed through a family friend who also used him as her divorce attorney. So I figured I would have a consultation with him. After our consultation, I was VERY satisfied and knew that I wanted to hire him. This was back in 2018. He required the retainer, which was expected, and used that retainer towards the expenses. He was very professional, listened to my needs, had my sons best interest in mind, and maintained his integrity throughout my entire case. Not only did he handle my divorce, custody, and parenting plan case, he also handled my personal injury case, got me the most that he could, and knowing full well that he would get his share, so he made sure after giving him what was owed, I still had more than enough to cover costs. I don’t like saying I have an attorney “in my back pocket”, but I enjoy having the relief of knowing I have an attorney or any legal matters. Jed comes HIGHLY recommended by me, and will be the only attorney I use.

We were dragged in a false rental dispute. At that time we knew nothing about judiciary system. Mr. Bennett Wills, a good and knowledgeable attorney, took our case and led us to a monumental win.
No one wants to be involved in a court case, but when someone accused us falsely and the financial costs were too high, we needed to fight back. Mr. Bennett guided us in every step of the process, comfort me and gave me the peace of mind in stressful situations. My family stood solid, behind us always as well.
He was prompt in replying emails, charged by quantum of 6 minutes though! He was discrete, sharp and straight forward from the beginning, later in the discovery sessions, and finally in the deliberations in the court. His way of presenting the case may not be theatrical but very effective. At the end we won, a big one!

I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I thought she was great and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'd definitely recommend Tara.

The owner of apartments that border my property was negligent in maintaining his trees. The trees posed a danger to my property, including my house. Mr. McClanahan did his homework by having The University of Tennessee extension agent come to my property and assess the danger of the trees. Then, armed with the evidence, sent a letter to the owner of the apartments. I had been requesting that the trees be cut for over six months, but within one week of Mr. McClanahan's action the dangerous trees were cut and removed! Now my yard is safe and I am a fan of the excellent work of Matthew McClanahan!
