Everything was in place to close on a real estate deal after a group of neighbors had banded together to purchase a collection of vacant lots. But the deal went sideways when the sellers refused to sign/close, and stopped communicating with their agent. We hired Britney to sort out the mess, which she did splendidly and quickly. She expertly and very promptly closed all the exits to protect the parcels from alternate deals and/or disruption (multiple Lis Pendens filings completed within a week of first contacting Britney). Britney's communication was rapid and thorough, and she represented multiple parties in the same action very effectively. Faced with the overwhelmingly strong hand Britney laid on the table, the sellers backed down and agreed to settle/close and pay legal fees. Overall, the closing was delayed 6 weeks, but that's much faster than we feared a legal action might take. The team at Hanson Baker was also a real asset, utilizing Keaton Hille for litigation matters and Cathy Anderson for keeping the wheels rolling. Billing breakdown was very detailed and transparent. I would not hesitate to utilize Britney and the Hanson Baker team again, if unlucky enough to face legal challenges again in the future.

After a few days of searching for the right attorney for our challenge we kept returning to Britney's Firm. They assigned Britney to our case due to her expertise. After our consult we knew that we had a match. Our family found that working with Britney assisted in keeping us up-to-date, informed and willing to explore options wisely. In this case we needed an attorney with business contract and litigation knowledge. This was a particularly sensitive situation. After reviewing a number of attorney CVs Britney's experience and expertise encouraged me to conclude she likely would provide excellent counsel for property transactions I was undertaking. And I was delighted when she agreed to represent my interests in purchasing a home in the San Juan Islands and in creating an option associated with the purchase.
The transactions involved the sale of property in California and the purchase of the island home via a 1031 exchange. The experience was a new one for me and not without questions as to how complicated it might become.
From the beginning of the process Britney was truly exceptional on a number of levels. Her personable, confident, expert manner in communicating with me quickly dispelled any concerns I had about the process. Almost immediately I recognized I was in truly capable hands and that I was dealing with a person upon whom I could rely with confidence.
At each step of the way forward Britney made sure I was informed of what was happening and why. More importantly her guidance at critical junctures insured that any information I needed to provide or form I needed to complete met all the transaction's requirements for legal sufficiency. Britney's drafting of all required documents was superb. Her writing excelled at providing sharp, concise, comprehensible language that all parties understood with ease. I could not have been more pleased with the work products Britney presented to me. Without hesitation I recommend Britney for outstanding representation in real estate transactions.

Mr. Hicks was assisting the lead attorney on our case and subsequnetly took it over as our primary contact. The issue was adverse possession. Mr. Hicks explained what was going on in laymans terms and tried to establish common ground between planiff and defendant. While that never happened the case was eventually voluntarily dismissed by plantiff as Mr Hicks had provided thorough enough documentation and rebuttal that plantiff

It was a very lucky day for me when Ken Kambich was asked to make a will for my terminally ill uncle back in 2009. This was a VERY complex estate, and Ken was able to draft a will that allowed us to carry out my uncle's wishes. Since that time, Ken has been the attorney for the estate. I live in Canada, so I have depended on Ken for just about everything, and he has always been there for me. Besides being a thoroughly honest and hard-working attorney, he has also become a very good friend, both to the estate and to me personally. I will be sad to see the estate finally settled because I will miss working with Ken!!

Was referred to this firm by multiple people/ lawyers. I shouldn't have even wasted my time. Got more of a story about how they sympathize for my situation but basically because I'm a federal employee I'm not entitled to the same rights of protection as the general public, according to them. This is even with a judgment from the county court in my favor in regards to the matter. They just simply couldn't help with the employment matter. I suggest looking elsewhere for legal help.

It is with great pleasure that I write an outstanding review for Attorney John Ryan. As a non profit preschool that serves the needs of children with several different learning styles and abilities, it goes with out saying we have been severely affected due to the pandemic. Through determination, grit and for lack of a better word, blood sweet and tears, we are still standing and serving families of the community as it was very evident our unique learning school is much needed in the community.
At the end of the day, we are viewed as just another business with our debtors, and landlords and beyond. We have encountered and come across some of the most vile and unethical people through out this process, as a volunteer board president who started this organization in 2014 to ensure there was a place for my child who is a non traditional learner, and many of her peers the toll this was taking was becoming too much. When we hired Attorney Ryan, it was to handle a fraction of what we were dealing with. We persevered to move forward and keep what we started going, when disparaging emails, harassment, and phone calls became too much to cary, Attorney Ryan Stepped in on several different occasions to take some of this stress off our plate, and handled the unethical treatment and “threats” with out skipping a beat. He was able to reassure us we were not in need of meeting unrealistic demands, and took over on our behalf and was very attentive and not bothered by the grotesque scare tactics used by misc companies, and people. Knowing that Attorney Ryan was handling this, while fully keeping us in the loop, and assuring us of our rights, helped relieve a huge amount of stress, anxiety and harassment, so we could focus on what really matters, carrying our mission forward and ensuring a place like this will exist in our community for years and beyond.

John stuck with me through a year long house sale horror. First, was the deed in lieu. I changed my mind (for which he was very gratuitous and only seemed to care that I chose the best option for myself). Next came the short sale from hell. If something could go wrong, it did. This lasted over 8 months. All along the way, he advised me on the best options. He checked on me quite a bit, was very professional but caring. I felt like I really had someone who had my back. This was especially wonderful as I was a recent widow. I highly recommend him and would give an outstanding reference to anyone who asked! Thanks John:)

I really hope I'm not over-hyping her, but this is honestly how I feel. Kathleen is extremely intelligent, detail-oriented, honest, kept us updated regularly, respectful, timely, empathetic, and her arguing skills are insane.
She took the time to really understand our case and its nuances. Moreover, just to emphasize how intelligent she is - I have a rare, complicated disability that parents, teachers, and even doctors have to study (AND be around it) for years to be able to understand it. Kathleen was able to understand it within a week (possibly less - I didn't time her), even though I was her FIRST client with this particular disability!
She won our case, but even if she hadn't my review would be the same because of how thorough she is. We would have walked away satisfied that she looked at every possible angle.

Saphronia was hired to represent my parents estate with a recommendation from the estate planning attorneys. She knew how to explain the laws and rights my parents had when they were alive and what they did to secure their wishes. Being located in Ohio and in Washington, she was able to communicate what was needed and what my brother and I could do to help save time. Saphronia and her staff were efficient and did not contact me with anything that was not necessary but was able to conduct business with precision. Saphronia had a way to explain multiple options and, when I inquired about different points or had questions she was able to answer me clearly which helped me make my decision. For a situation that no one wants to go through, Elder Law was a rock in my storm! I was a first time executor and no question was too big or too small for Saphronia. Needed help from an attorney to deal with a Contractor who was ignoring my requests to deal with damage caused by their work on my home. Mr Green was knowledgeable, proactive and communication during the process was first-rate. We had the misfortune of hiring an inexperienced contractor to remodel our bathroom. He was very unprofessional and didn't quite know how to do a remodel. We paid him a lot of money but got shoddy workmanship in return. He sued us in Small Claims Court for a final payment of $1280.00 but we were fortunate to have found Jean Bouffard to defend us. Jean had the lawsuit transferred to Superior Court and we sued the contractor for breach of contract. The case was a mess of facts and figures but Jean was able to sort it out and win a judgement of $21,030 for us including attorney fees. We are very happy with her professionalism, knowledge and demeanor.

I feel very fortunate to have met Kokie through my son who asked the Senior Project Manager of the utility company which he worked for for a referral. The Project Manager had utilized Kokie's services for utility right-of-way negotiations.
I needed someone to complete my father's probate action that had stalled. It was a very complex probate that involved the sale of real property. When I first met with Kokie, she volunteered to pick up the case file from the previous attorney. Kokie immediately took charge of my father's estate and through her legal expertise and knowledge she reworked a complex and lengthy Purchase and Sale Agreement that led to the successful sale of the real estate. That was the "easy" part.
Next, she worked to create an equitable solution to the Asset Distribution process. Kokie communicated with each of my five siblings and proposed a TEDRA agreement that allowed some of the remaining real estate to remain with some of the family while the others received their share in monetary value. She then connected me with an outstanding CPA who worked out the dollars and cents and the capital gains issues of the distribution.
Oh, and also during this process, I hired Kokie to create our wills and Community Property Agreement. I then referred three of my sisters to Kokie to have their wills and directives drawn up as well. Kokie is a very sensitive woman that worked with compassion and professionalism in helping my sisters.
I could go on an on. I will say that if you only want an attorney to hold your hand, then don't hire Kokie. She is an aggressive, intuitive and knowledgeable lawyer who will take charge of your legal needs and work with diligence and efficiency in seeing them through to resolution.
In closing I would like to say that I have made a friend for life in Kokie and will most certainly call on her in the future for all of my legal needs.
