Michelle was a welcome relief to a process that is problematic by definition. In the middle of a divorce, Michelle stepped in to take my case and bring sanity to all the members involved. She never took her eye off the goal and worked the process efficiently to get there. Michelle represented me during my recent divorce proceding. (I found Michele after experiencing some challenges with a different attorney). From the first meeting I appreciated Michelle's ability to cut to the key issues, her candor, straight talk and willingness to level with me on some tough topics. She demonstrated an excellent ability to provide me legal advice for the topics that had to be addressed at the moment, but took the time to explain the downstream implications and tradeoffs associated with different strategies and approaches. Divorce is a tough, emotional process and Michelle demonstrated compassion and kindness as well- she knew when to push and how to handle sensitive topics. The value of this kind of smart, objective advice was invaluable to me.
Communication was always timely, thorough and spot on the mark. She was always up to speed on the details of my case. She is not the type of lawyer who shields helfself behind a paralegal (like many do). Michelle is hands on with all aspects of the case. In dealing with divorce matters, she also had the uncanny abilit to 'do the numbers in her head' and discuss possible outcomes. No doubt this comes from experience-as a lawyer and a mediator and every time I talked with her that experience showed. She was as comfortable negotiating, as conducting a deposition as going through the trial process.
Overall, divorce (particularly in a long term marriage) is a messy ugly process that can be made even uglier and more painful with the wrong attorney.

I live out of state and was in the middle of a transaction to buy a condo in Wisconsin when I realized I was making a horrible financial mistake. Some information had been withheld and some was coming in after my offer. In a panic, I called several Wisconsin real-estate attorneys to see if I could break the contract; Jason Greller was the only one to call me back. He listened and said it wouldn’t be easy as I had signed away basically all of my rights.
I hired him with little hope, but am so thankful I took that leap of faith. He was relentless in looking at every detail. He was honest and direct talking to me. Jason helped me to negotiate a mutually agreeable resolution with the seller. He was very fair in his charges; he earned every cent.
My only regret is not seeking Jason’s counsel BEFORE entering into the real estate transaction. I came to realize that not only does he have the expertise of the law concerning real estate and the knowledge of realtors in general, but using his services is a huge bonus as it takes the emotion out of the situation. He is truly working just for you.
My advice: Get a real estate attorney. It will save you money in the long run and you will undergo much less stress. You are paying him to protect you.

Jason helped us buy our first home (and sell it 10 years later), and now he just helped us buy our dream home. We had an issue with our bank dropping the ball at the very last minute, which was very (very) stressful, and throughout it all Jason was a steady hand who helped keep things in perspective and on track. He's a good person and a great attorney with extensive experience (which comes in handy if something unexpected comes up). I highly recommend him to anyone buying or selling real estate in Madison.

We hired Jason Greller to guide us through the purchase of a privately sold home. As as a first-time home buyer, I wasn't clear what and when tasks needed to be completed. Jason efficiently organized the material and deadlines that ultimately got us to closing on-time with all required tasks completed. He was easy to work with, present but not omnipresent and holds a trove of information and insight valuable for the home buyer dealing with the myriad of issues that stand between the accepted offer and closing. If we were to do it over I would without question hire Jason again. He did an excellent job.

After my brother-In_law sat in MCJ for 18 months going through one incompetent PD after another I retained Mr. McClure. The decision to get a divorce was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make. There is a roller coaster of emotions that go along with making the decision. Most notably is the fear of not knowing how it will affect your time with your children or how it will impact you financially. Another important factor was the fear of being judged for your decision. Once the decision was made I was referred to the law offices of Hostak, Henzl & Bichler by a friend. I set my first appointment up with Jen and immediately knew that I was in a safe place. My best interest and the interest of my kids was going to be her priority. Once the process was started she kept me informed every step of the way. If I had a question about something she was quick to get back to me with an answer. All important court dates were set up immediately, and I was able to see a light at the end of the tunnel very early on in the process. The same level of support continued after everything was finalized. Jen continued to help me through the allocation of property process until everything was complete. Professional, hardworking, and compassionate are words that I would use to describe Jennifer Hemmer. I strongly recommend giving her a call if you find yourself with a difficult situation and all that is stopping you is fear of the process.

I would NOT recommend Ken Pletcher for anything! I followed all his recommendations and paid him $5,000 yet I went to all 3 of my court dates alone! Before my case was resolved he Quit! Seriously? How can you take my money and do NOTHING and then QUIT!???
My case has been dragging for over a year and is still not over because I had to hire another lawyer.

Mr. Graham handled the sale of my rental property to my tenants. As no realtors were involved, this involved extra work on his part to complete tasks ordinarily done by realtors. Our brother died unexpectedly and shortly afterwards his long-time caretaker and the caretaker’s attorney produced a will that left our brother’s entire estate to the caretaker. My sister and I were surprised that our brother would not discuss such a big change in his estate plan with us beforehand and after talking to some of our brother’s friends, we were told that this will was suspicious and we needed to retain legal counsel to look into it.
