Our brother died unexpectedly and shortly afterwards his long-time caretaker and the caretaker’s attorney produced a will that left our brother’s entire estate to the caretaker. My sister and I were surprised that our brother would not discuss such a big change in his estate plan with us beforehand and after talking to some of our brother’s friends, we were told that this will was suspicious and we needed to retain legal counsel to look into it. Thank Goodness we took their advice and were very fortunate to choose Trevor Lippman of O’Neil Cannon as our representative. My sister and I cannot say enough to praise the hard work and professionalism that Trevor demonstrated. As this was the first time my sister and I had ever been involved in a legal action, we needed a lot of support and explanation. Trevor's communication skills are second to none and he answered all our questions and guided us through all the issues as they developed. Our case was very difficult and required much time and effort to build the evidence showing that this will was not our brother’s work. With this body of evidence, we then entered mediation with the other party and were very successful, obtaining 88% of the multi-million dollar estate. More importantly, Trevor and his colleagues with O’Neil Cannon helped us avoid a lifetime of regret in not knowing what our brother’s true intentions were. Through their dedication and hard work, they gave us the truth about what happened. For this we will be forever grateful and can give Trevor Lippman our highest recommendations.

At first it seemed like a typical estate dispute, but we knew that here was something wrong with the fact that my brother would change his will so dramatically without letting us know. We had never had to retain an attorney and had many questions. Trevor carefully explained every aspect of the case as we went along and helped us understand the legal system. Trevor began the investigation and through many twists, turns and complications was able to discover that our concerns were justified and we were able to retain a significant part of the estate. I cannot say enough about Trevor. He is smart and hardworking, he digs deep into the facts, pulling layer after layer together to tell the true story and he was able to remember everything in this complicated case. He kept us informed of his progress and gave us excellent advice. He is stellar in the courtroom. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was lucky enough to get Attorney Elizabeth Rich twice using the Avvo Legal Services Portal for consultations regarding a very complicated issue involving a small church in Wisconsin. Elizabeth was the first attorney I spoke to using Avvo, and I walked away from that phone call telling myself that was the best thing I ever did. She armed me with concrete next steps as well as a handful of different resources to help me find more information. I really had no idea where to turn at that point and Elizabeth pointed me in a direction which catapulted me forward. Almost a month later, using the Avvo Legal Services portal again, I was assigned Attorney Elizabeth. When I realized it was her I was absolutely delighted. Sure enough, she listened to how things had progressed and even told me she had reached out to lawyers in the area about my case to see if anyone was willing to help. It was just what I needed to feel hopeful again and feel a sense of direction. I highly recommend Attorney Elizabeth Rich, she will listen to your story and do her best to give you honest and thoughtful advice.

Michelle represented me during my recent divorce proceding. (I found Michele after experiencing some challenges with a different attorney). From the first meeting I appreciated Michelle's ability to cut to the key issues, her candor, straight talk and willingness to level with me on some tough topics. She demonstrated an excellent ability to provide me legal advice for the topics that had to be addressed at the moment, but took the time to explain the downstream implications and tradeoffs associated with different strategies and approaches. Divorce is a tough, emotional process and Michelle demonstrated compassion and kindness as well- she knew when to push and how to handle sensitive topics. The value of this kind of smart, objective advice was invaluable to me. Communication was always timely, thorough and spot on the mark. She was always up to speed on the details of my case. She is not the type of lawyer who shields helfself behind a paralegal (like many do). Michelle is hands on with all aspects of the case. In dealing with divorce matters, she also had the uncanny abilit to 'do the numbers in her head' and discuss possible outcomes. No doubt this comes from experience-as a lawyer and a mediator and every time I talked with her that experience showed. She was as comfortable negotiating, as conducting a deposition as going through the trial process. Overall, divorce (particularly in a long term marriage) is a messy ugly process that can be made even uglier and more painful with the wrong attorney.

Mr. Cappozzo handled a business dispute for us without flaw. Even though the case turned out to be arduous and lengthy, Mr. Cappozzo remained firm and was not intimidated by tactics from the other side. My husband and I hired Jonathan after having a dispute with a contractor. This was the first time either one of us had ever hired a lawyer. Jonathan was highly recommended by a colleague and we immediately understood why. I texted him requesting urgent help on a Thursday night as our issue was time sensitive. He responded that evening and by Friday morning, we had hired him. He was able to efficiently gather enough information to start addressing our urgent concern that Friday afternoon. Within the week, our situation was resolved to our satisfaction. His responsiveness and professionalism was outstanding. He helped set expectations and educate us. He was upfront about expected costs for our case and when we ended up exceeding that, he honored his initial quote. We are in the middle of an adoption and he told us to take the difference of the quote and actual cost of his services and apply it towards the adoption. It was not expected and he certainly was not obligated to do this but was greatly appreciated. If we ever need a lawyer again, we will not hesitate to reach out. I have already provided his information to another co-worker.

My job was eliminated after 18 yrs. I was 1 of 3 over age 60 eliminated. Since there were new employees and less seniority employees , i felt i was let go unfairly with age discrimination. Jonathan fought for a new severance contract against the medical corporation and won. He achieved double the severance i was offered per "their protocol" that was unfair. Jonathan was kind, calm, explained what i didnt understand ( which was most legal terminology!) And worked with me as my own advocate. Advising and suggesting. I have never had a lawyer up until recently and was always uneasy about having one. After meeting with her just once for 15 minutes, my feelings about having a lawyer quickly changed. She got straight to the point, and told me how things were going to be. I appreciated that because I don't like it when people sugar coat or try and tell you things they think you want to hear. Through every step of the process, she was always answering my questions, and in contact with me, whether it was her or her assistant. She helped out so incredibly much and I know because of her, things got settled and taken care of. If you hire Sara, you won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.

Sara is an excellent lawyer. She kept me informed and kept my best interest in mind when dealing with my case. Sara was great at working with my husband's lawyer and both looking out for their clients in a collaborative way. She let me know what next steps were and made sure that financially and mentally I was prepared for what was ahead. I had some odd things with my divorce that in the end turned out positive for me even though I ended up paying. Because Sara had my best interests in mind my pay structure is time limited and set. We hired Thomas Murphy to oversee the purchase of our first home. He was very detail oriented in our initial consultation. He thoroughly reviewed all the documents related to our purchase both prior to hiring him through closing. I really appreciated the checklist he sent after our initial consultation. It included all the dates that we needed to be aware of and I referred back to it frequently. During this stressful period, Thomas was quick to respond to all of our inquiries. Be it phone call or email he responded after office hours and on weekends which allowed us to make more informed decisions when we had tight deadlines. We counted on and trusted his advice and were very happy with the results. We couldn't have made a better decision than to hire Thomas. Paul handled what was a messy divorce to start with. From start to finish, finances and child custody went smoothly considering the circumstances. Paul was straight forward but encouraging and knows his profession to a "T". We went to trial and witnesses were called. The witnesses that were called told me that Paul made them feel comfortable on the stand, even when nervous his smile and demeanor reassured and calmed them. Andrea is a very knowledgeable respectful lawyer. She was there to help me in one of the most difficult times of my life. She helped explain the legal process and describe our "best case scenario". I have had Lee for an attorney for 20+ years. I have never met a more kind and understanding man. He has helped my family many times over the years but the one that stays with me is my divorce. My divorce was amicable, but non the less very hard on me. I left the courthouse in tears. Lee followed up by finding me at my folks house afterwards. He told me that he was there for me for whatever the future held for me legally and more importantly if I just needed to talk things through in the healing process. He not only takes care of people with legal problems, he actually cares about the individual person. I highly recommend Lee and his team. They are incredible people!

We're a nonprofit that uses subcontractors to teach workshops and provide storytelling coaching, and over the years, we've developed a good deal of intellectual property such as workshop templates and handouts. Our subcontractors also have access to things such as survey results and participant contact information, so we determined that we should have a subcontractor agreement in place. I reached out to Andrea, and after meeting with me to discuss the specifics, she drafted an agreement which we are now starting to use. She was super helpful throughout the process, answering my many questions with not just the "what" but also the "why". It's a huge relief to have this new tool that will help protect the org's proprietary information - and set clear expectations with our contractors. In 2014, my wife was notified by company management that her position within that company was going to be phased out. This was after she had completed almost three decades of dedicated professional service. The severance package and motive for termination made no sense to us so we decided to seek legal advice. I was retired from Twenty Eight years of employment within the Criminal Justice System and knew many attorneys but not the attorney best suited for this type of civil litigation. I made three separate inquiries, independent of each other about a lawyer or firm that we should seek out to best resolve this issue. They were a 1. RETIRED CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE 2. RETIRED ASSITANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY 3. PRACTICING ATTORNEY OF A NOTABLE LAW FIRM. All three of these individuals without hesitation stated Mike Fox. (MICHAEL R. FOX, FOX & FOX, S.C.) Our first meeting with Mike involved a detailed work history and any circumstances that may have led up to her termination at her place of employment. Mr. Fox detailed the possible remedies that we could seek and also what he believed to be both the merits and the negative possibilities involved in litigating this case to its conclusion. We were advised by Mr. Fox at the inception of this case that it may not be resolved for several years. During this entire period of time, Mr. Fox kept us updated regarding the status and progress of the proceedings minimizing the negative emotional impact the termination and the case itself would have on our lives. He could make us laugh when we were down or felt the legal system was tedious and unresponsive. We learned to trust Mr. Fox and his legal skills completely and our trust was well placed. Mr. Fox’s representation far exceeded our expectations. He could talk to us on a very personal level, putting aside the legal speak but he was dogged and fearless in his pursuit of our welfare.
