Mr. Mayer is a very good lawyer. He worked with me as co-counsel when I represented a client in a commercial real estate lawsuit in Sheboygan County. Although initially hired as local counsel, to assist in preparation and filing of documents with the court, he assumed a much larger and more important role as the case proceeded. He soon demonstrated his knowledge of real estate law and of foreclosure proceedings, along with a sharp eye for spotting issues, and a shrewd grasp of litigation strategy. His contribution was tremendous at every stage of the proceeding, from writing motions and briefs, to active participation in the trial. Peter is smart man, and a dependable lawyer. I would not hesitate to work with him again if the opportunity were to arise.

Peter read a land contract for me. He accepted me as a client even though I was in another state (my mom used his services in the past). He was always very prompt to return my email. Peter was very thorough and went into great detail on the property that I purchased. He reviewed numerous documents (easements, county parcel descriptions, etc.) that I would not have thought to review. I am happy that Peter read the land contract for me and looked over the property. It was a big relief that the property and contract were free of problems. I would hire Peter again if I needed similar legal services, and I would give him a favorable recommendation.

From the first call to Mr. Duquette to our final resolve of our case with the Village of Williams Bay Mr. Duquette made my wife and myself feel as though we had nothing to worry about, as the Village of Williams Bay did not understand the law as the Village had written it. At the Village board of zoning appeals Mr. Duquette was able to explain the law to the board of zoning appeals. We stood before the board with Mr. Duquette and the board finally realized it was probably in their best interest to allow for our variance due to many mistakes that were made by the Village Building Commissioner and the board of zoning appeals lack of knowledge of the laws they way they had written them. Could not have accomplished this WIN without James Duquette. His staff and James were are very responsive and James is on target with our need and ready to assist us in the future if we should need his services again.

Scott Curtis is very capable lawyer who has helped me immensely. He helped me file a small claims suit and arrange a settlement. We hired Ashley to help with my father's estate. We had worked with a different attourney who kept dragging things out and charges were getting quite large. It turns out after hiring Ashley the former attourney never even filed the trust with the court. Ashley did in a few months what the prior attourney did not do over several years. She is wonderful to work with and very efficient. She made a horrible situation much less stressful. Will work with her on any future needs. I highly recommend her.

I worked with John on a case where I had loaned money to an elderly couple in what was represented to me as a family real estate venture--- involving the couples two adult children. Due to much feuding in the family and then the deaths of the parents this litigation ran on for years. The surviving children did everything they could to try and avoid repaying me. I worked with John for 5 years. I ultimately have collected on the judgement in my favor. It was a pleasure to work with John. He did an excellent job for me. Definitely 5 Stars!!

John Starkweather handled my case aggressively and was very professional. John did not play games or allow opposing attorneys to draw us into long drawn out games or arguments that had no merit. The opponent had several law firms including several attorneys who all came up with creative and at times bizarre arguments and attempts to drag the case out for at least a year before we could continue with the subject matter. John was quick to respond to the games that some attorneys play. John would be specific in his motions as to the real subject matter and try to keep the court/judge informed or in the direction of the merits of the case. John would quickly argue against the ridiculous arguments of the other attorneys, he would stay on track of the merits of the case we were arguing. John’s investigation was thorough prior to proceeding in the direction that would lead us to winning the case.
At one phone hearing with the judge, one attorney stated that Mr. Starkweather has 15 days to respond to an answer filed by opposing attorneys just the day before the hearing. Mr. Starkweather stated that the response had already been filed that morning and should be on the judge’s desk and sent to all opposing attorneys including their emails inbox. The other attorney’s only response was “you’re fast”. The judge then set the next hearing date for the following week. John e-mailed me the response and I was reviewing it around 11PM the night before, based on how fast he sent me the final draft I knew he wanted to file it first thing in the morning without john even telling me. Prior to filing motions or answers with the court, John would almost always send me an e-mail copy for review prior to filing. The only exception was when an opposing attorney filed something that was so off base or ridiculous, in that instance he immediately responded to the court and copied me after the fact which I believe was the appropriate thing to do. The only thing that slowed the case down was the required waiting time we had to give the opposing attorneys to do their filings. Johns filings were quick and thorough and at times the same day as we received an answer or motion.
When it came to presenting the facts of the case, John was well prepared and brought the factual issues to the table in a way that opposing counsel could not argue at the same facts but had to try to argue a type of common law argument. John avoided going down their road of arguments and stuck with the facts of our case. John did a great job and in the end we didn’t even have to have a trial which I was comfortable with John handling. The defendant agreed to release a lien he had on my property and I didn’t pay him anything. This was my goal from the start, I would call that a win!

Ms. Thomadsen was referred to me by a friend who is also an attorney, but does not specialize in real estate law. We had a complicated property-line dispute with difficult circumstances around adverse possession. We were able to meet with Ms. Thomadsen fairly quickly. She spent more than ample time with us during our consultation learning about our situation, and then educating us about the law, and all of our options. When we decided to hire Ms. Thomadsen, she was clear in what we could expect from her and what she expected from us - when and how she billed, etc. With each exchange of information and updates as we moved through the process, Ms. Thomadsen would take the time to review scenarios and next steps with us. She never pressured us to choose one option over another, but instead provided information, support and her experience so that we could make the best decision for us. She spent as much time as we needed so that we were comfortable in with each step we took. She was timely in her responses, and she was fair in her billing. Our case ended favorably, and best as it could. Ms. Thomadsen was outstanding to work with, and I would recommend her to anyone that needs a real estate attorney.

I had an extremely complex business "divorce" when my business partner and I decided to separate our practice. With the assets and holdings in excess of $20 million USD, we needed an expert. Chuck did not let me down at all. The division went extremely well.
It should be noted that I began this division with another lawyer in town. The cost to undo what lawyer #1 did was expensive. Do not waste your money on some of the lowball attorneys in Oshkosh. This is your guy.

My life was up-ended by a husband that wanted a divorce after 33 years of marriage. After the initial shock wore off, friends suggested Chuck as he was a pit bull in the court room. Having never worked a professional job in my adult life, I had no idea that I was entitled to not only 50% of our joint marital property and savings/retirement accounts REGARDLESS of whose name they are in, but also spousal support from my ex.
Chuck listened to me cry, yell, and be crazy, never complaining or poo-pooing my calls.
In the end, I am better off without the cheating husband - and I have money to start my new life. Thanks to Chuck Hertel I am financially set even after my ex said I would never get my hands on his practice or retirement in his name!!!

Had a very challenging trust with differing levels of gifting. Other attorneys in this area seemed in over their heads with our complex trust. This guy knows trust issues and workarounds. He is a business guy (mostly deals with banks and other corps) but does private stuff as well.

Peter Ramirez is a lawyer that I have personally observed to do superb work in the area criminal defense in the many cases I have personally watched him handle. In the matter, which he handled for me, it was a family law case, every lawyer's worst night mare. A very bad case, a once in lifetime case it was that bad, with most of the odds and many unfair factors stacked up against our position. Attorney Ramirez really showed his expertise, knowledge, strategic planning to be able to obtain what I believe was the most most favorable of all the possible outcomes that could happened to my surprise, which was clearly not a likely scenario. I and my children will be forever en-debited to him. Had I just went with Peter as my first Lawyer my case would not have spiraled out of control like it did. I give him my highest rating coming from a person that works in a related field. Peter was both compassionate, yet tough. Peter is a well respected member of the Milwaukee Latino Community.

A divorce is a difficult thing. Kelly made me feel comfortable from the moment I first spoke with her. She was always prompt in returning messages. i had heard stories of some lawyers that are just after a buck. I never felt that from her. She clearly explained all options and what to expect at the proceedings in clear and simple terms. She clearly knows her trade well. kudos also to her assistant Sandy Odegaard for her hard work. Kelly came highly recommended by another lawyer. I engaged her services for a difficult custody battle, and never regretted the decision. If anything, I felt bad for the opposing counsel, and would occasionally think, "I wonder what this would be like if Kelly had a real opponent?"
Kelly was pretty much everything you want in counsel. Knowledgeable, efficient, determined, concise, and just generally a kick-ass lawyer. On top of which, she was an approachable and reasonable human being. Cannot recommend her too highly.

Our landlords were trying to bill us for more than $1000 in repairs for damage we didn't do. Jason took our case, did some research, and got them to agree to drop it without us paying another penny! He was amazing in person, on the phone, thru email just all around easy to work with and excellent availability. While it is unfortunate that I needed to engage counsel for an action against one of the major brokerage and investment banking firms, I am very fortunate to have been introduced to Sean Sweeney of Halling & Cayo. Simply stated, Sean is an outstanding attorney!
Sean is smart, professional, methodical and tenacious, which is precisely what I need given the complexities of the case and who opposing counsel is. Additionally, unlike many litigators who come off as being aggressive and combative, Sean is soft spoken, reasonable and tempered. Recently hired Sean to review a business contract. We were so impressed with how thorough Sean was. When he met with us to go over the contract, it was obvious he has some mad skills. While building our new home we had to part ways with our original builder due to plans not being followed and finished the home building project with a second builder.
I talked to two other attorneys that were closer to my location but I chose Anthony even though I would have to work with him remotely because he was not condescending and got back to me within a day (usually hours) instead of days or weeks.
Anthony always responded to my texts, phone calls and emails very quickly. His attitude, approach, knowledge and professionalism was extremely helpful in getting to the end of a difficult new home construction that took 2 years, 2 builders and multiple legal letters. The legal letters were very helpful in getting people to do the right thing when their workmanship or service was poor.
Through multiple issues Anthony helped me understand the different options and then helped me execute the approach.
He also handled any of the difficult contractors that usually wanted to run over me until I started sending their communications through Anthony.
In the end the money I paid Anthony was well worth it and I was very pleased with the outcome (without going to court) regarding ALL of my construction issues.
I would recommend Anthony for any building or remodeling issues.

I had asked SEVERAL attorneys (including our closing attorney AND our family attorney) and most of them told me just to forget it. ONLY when pressed, the closing attorney (not my family attorney who I count on mind you) told me that we should take it to small claims court at least. All the other people in the transaction made us feel equally helpless and like there was no recourse..including the realtor the home inspector and a few friends, acquaintances and neighbors, etc...all we kept getting was like "too bad"..there is really nothing you can do..or "the same thing happened to us"...TY SOOO much attorney Murdock for letting us know that its not over yet! When I became a third party in a very contentious law suit involving multiple individuals, easements, and claims of fraud, I was overwhelmed and often felt that I was being viewed as the easy solution to a problem I did not cause. Although I had retained another attorney, it soon became apparent that I needed an attorney who was well versed in real estate law and was a skilled litigator. After much research and with the help of another attorney, I found and retained Teresa.
From the onset, she proved herself to be a compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough, and skillful attorney. She was tenacious in her search for documents ( my title insurance policy, old deeds, surveys) which ultimately resulted in a favorable outcome for me.
This case was complicated and required expertise in not only real estate laws, but also required the ability to negotiate with multiple attorneys on multiple issues.
