I hired Attny Follett to help guide me and prepare the necessary paperwork associated with Estate Planning. Having lost my mother abruptly earlier in the year, I was overcome with what would happen should I fall ill, or pass. Who would have access to help me? Who would control, distribute, manage my estate. There were several sensitive issues to consider, and Attny Follett managed them with compassion and sensitivity. She was sure to 'dumb things down' (my term) for me, when it felt over my head. I was in the midst of grieving, quitting a job, recently moved, etc, so this was an added stress that could have been just too much. When I had my motorcycle accident, I received 15 or 20 letters from attorneys. I contacted my insurance agent who recommended Attorney William J. Hickmann. I called Attorney Hickmann and decided to retain him to handle my personal injury case.
I actually dealt with William Hickmann on all the issues related to my case. I always received attention to my case. If I called, they called me back, answered my questions and handled all of the billing issues related to my medical bills. They gave me good, sound advice on documenting my claims.
To summarize my experience, I was extremely pleased with my experience and how my case was handled as well as my final settlement.

Attorney Kilkenny represented me in a landlord/tenant dispute. He was recommended by another attorney. At first I was a bit apprehensive about hiring such a young attorney but Attorney Kilkenny has proven that honesty, intelligence, and a strong work ethic can provide excellent results. I was originally planning to spend $4,000 on attorney fees but he was able to negotiate a deal with the landlord and reduce it to about $1,000. He's willing to do what is in the client's best interest rather than what is more profitable for himself. His hourly rate is also very low for the caliber of his skills. I've used attorneys at large law firms in the past and have found that they sometimes don't have enough time to dedicate to my case. Attorney Kilkenny, however, promptly responded to all my calls and emails and I can't recommend him enough.

Thorough, sharp and empathetic were the first qualities I observed when I retained Will Springer to represent me with restructuring my corporate structure. As I was dealing with a messy real estate transaction, I had been urged by family and acquaintances that it would be in my best interest to hire an attorney. Very intimidating to say the least. I live in Illinois but the property involved was in Wisconsin. Lucky for me a family member referred me to Brennan and Steil in Janesville. I was able to hire Mr Springer from that firm to represent me. Even luckier for me !!! I did not have one single negative experience with Mr Springer. Although initially hired as local counsel, to assist in preparation and filing of documents with the court, he assumed a much larger and more important role as the case proceeded. He soon demonstrated his knowledge of real estate law and of foreclosure proceedings, along with a sharp eye for spotting issues, and a shrewd grasp of litigation strategy. Peter read a land contract for me. He accepted me as a client even though I was in another state (my mom used his services in the past). He was always very prompt to return my email. Peter was very thorough and went into great detail on the property that I purchased. He reviewed numerous documents (easements, county parcel descriptions, etc.) that I would not have thought to review. I am happy that Peter read the land contract for me and looked over the property. It was a big relief that the property and contract were free of problems. I would hire Peter again if I needed similar legal services, and I would give him a favorable recommendation.

Mindy has been wonderful to work with! My husband and I are in our 30's with young children so we are not, by any means, knowledgeable in legal matters pertaining to the "what if" questions of our home, property, and most importantly, our children, if something were to happen to us. Thankfully, Mindy is! We didn't think we had enough "stuff" or money to have a trust but when Mindy sits down with you to "lay it all out", it is quite shocking what one actually has! She made us feel very comfortable through the entire process and confident that we were making the right decisions in protecting our family. We started truthfully not even knowing what a trust was, we just knew we did not want our children and belongings in the court system, and ended with the confidence and knowledge of how a trust works and how everything will be handled if the worst happens. Mindy made this process easy to understand- she speaks in layman's terms which is not always the case with lawyers! I would highly recommend meeting with Mindy if you are even slightly concerned with the "what if's or what would happen to my family if I were gone" questions. After moving from Michigan to Wisconsin in late 2019, one of my top priorities was to revisit my Estate Planning Documents that were completed in Michigan with my family attorney there. My goal was to ensure that my documents complied with Wisconsin law.
This project was a special priority for me since my wife had passed away in March of 2019, and my intent was to locate a competent attorney who specialized in Estate Planning. So I started making telephone calls to numerous attorneys in this area listed in the Yellow Pages. I had many questions for them. Finally, I found the Frozena Law Firm. After asking the receptionist several questions, I made an appointment.
After my first appointment and having a very informative and productive meeting with Angela Frozena, who was very congenial and very knowledgeable. She briefed me regarding what additional information I must provide her, so we setup a future appointment for after I returned from vacation in Europe in three weeks.
Upon returning from Europe, I returned to Frozena Law Firm for my second appointment. At this appointment, Angela had already received the documents from my former attorney in Michigan, and had the draft of my new estate plan prepared, and sent the documents via encrypted email to my home in Racine. After reviewing the draft documents, I returned them to the firm for finalization.
At my final appointment, everything was organized and Angela had already made arrangements for the witnesses to be present. Everything went so smoothly, and I was impressed with Angela's knowledge, efficiency, sincerity and her positive attitude. Her professionalism is second to none. And along the way, Angela and I communicated via telephone and email.
I was so impressed with the courtesy and respect shown to me, that I am happy to share my experiences with Angela, and to highly recommend the Frozena Law Firm to anyone in need of competent, efficient estate planning services.

From the first call to Mr. Duquette to our final resolve of our case with the Village of Williams Bay Mr. Duquette made my wife and myself feel as though we had nothing to worry about, as the Village of Williams Bay did not understand the law as the Village had written it. At the Village board of zoning appeals Mr. Duquette was able to explain the law to the board of zoning appeals. We stood before the board with Mr. Duquette and the board finally realized it was probably in their best interest to allow for our variance due to many mistakes that were made by the Village Building Commissioner and the board of zoning appeals lack of knowledge of the laws they way they had written them. Could not have accomplished this WIN without James Duquette. His staff and James were are very responsive and James is on target with our need and ready to assist us in the future if we should need his services again.

I worked with John on a case where I had loaned money to an elderly couple in what was represented to me as a family real estate venture--- involving the couples two adult children. Due to much feuding in the family and then the deaths of the parents this litigation ran on for years. The surviving children did everything they could to try and avoid repaying me. I worked with John for 5 years. I ultimately have collected on the judgement in my favor. It was a pleasure to work with John. He did an excellent job for me. Definitely 5 Stars!!

John Starkweather handled my case aggressively and was very professional. John did not play games or allow opposing attorneys to draw us into long drawn out games or arguments that had no merit. The opponent had several law firms including several attorneys who all came up with creative and at times bizarre arguments and attempts to drag the case out for at least a year before we could continue with the subject matter. John was quick to respond to the games that some attorneys play. John would be specific in his motions as to the real subject matter and try to keep the court/judge informed or in the direction of the merits of the case. John would quickly argue against the ridiculous arguments of the other attorneys, he would stay on track of the merits of the case we were arguing. John’s investigation was thorough prior to proceeding in the direction that would lead us to winning the case.
At one phone hearing with the judge, one attorney stated that Mr. Starkweather has 15 days to respond to an answer filed by opposing attorneys just the day before the hearing. Mr. Starkweather stated that the response had already been filed that morning and should be on the judge’s desk and sent to all opposing attorneys including their emails inbox. The other attorney’s only response was “you’re fast”. The judge then set the next hearing date for the following week. John e-mailed me the response and I was reviewing it around 11PM the night before, based on how fast he sent me the final draft I knew he wanted to file it first thing in the morning without john even telling me. Prior to filing motions or answers with the court, John would almost always send me an e-mail copy for review prior to filing. The only exception was when an opposing attorney filed something that was so off base or ridiculous, in that instance he immediately responded to the court and copied me after the fact which I believe was the appropriate thing to do. The only thing that slowed the case down was the required waiting time we had to give the opposing attorneys to do their filings. Johns filings were quick and thorough and at times the same day as we received an answer or motion.
When it came to presenting the facts of the case, John was well prepared and brought the factual issues to the table in a way that opposing counsel could not argue at the same facts but had to try to argue a type of common law argument. John avoided going down their road of arguments and stuck with the facts of our case. John did a great job and in the end we didn’t even have to have a trial which I was comfortable with John handling. The defendant agreed to release a lien he had on my property and I didn’t pay him anything. This was my goal from the start, I would call that a win!
