Susan is a great lawyer who provided an out of the box legal service. She was with us during the hard times - and the legal part was completely in her hands. Susan arranged every single details and made sure nothing was overlooked. The probate administration was handled without any delays, and all members of the family were satisfied. As per billing, this was such care event of "underbilling" - we actually decided to pay more than Susan asked for. Highly recommended!

My wife and I came to Susan (whom we met in our local chamber of commerce) to arrange our will. We were also advised to form a living trust that would protect our own interests. Her actions were very competent, quick and efficient. A fair amount of time was spend just to educate us about the pros and cons of estate planning. In the end, we are very satisfied and would recommend Susan Friedland for probate or estate planning needs.

We ran into all sorts of problems dealing with the property partition of our uncle who passed away. There were too many contenders and too much dirt, to be honest. We desperately needed a quality legal representation, as court was the last resort to settle the dispute. Susan was recommended by the lawyer whom I had dealt with in the past. Yana listened to my concerns about how best to construct the last will and testment for my worldly estate and assets, especially considering the protection I wanted to afford to my children. She also considered that I didn't want them to experience division and bitterness over my worldly legacy once I was gone. I hired Nicholas Proukou to make a new will for myself. I was so satisfied with his knowledge and his suggestions that I referred him to my husband. My husband was very satisfied and also hired him to do his will. Nicholas took the time to review our family situation, children from a prior marriage and our finances. He gave us many suggestions of how to protect our estate.
When it came time for my mother to update her will, she also hired Nicholas. He was kind enough to meet us at my mother's home. She is elderly and it is not easy for her drive into downtown Rochester. He reviewed her prior will and had many suggestions for her situation.
We were very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. He was able to answer every question we had. He even pointed out important details that we would have simply skipped by.
He is an asset to his law firm.

I Came upon John's name after the retained attorney passed away unexpectedly. I was handling my mothers estate and needed his assistance. At a time when you need some patience and understanding, John was right there from the first meeting. Calls and emails are returned without delay. And when you sit with him, you are not intimidated and are always given sound and honest advice. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Someone called me and said that a person I know had a plan to cheat me and others. They said someone who was in a position to do something was too intimidated to do anything to stop it. I said I would take action.
I needed a lawyer in NYC, and through Avvo I found Laura Lattman. I looked at her website, and liked her progressive values.
I called Laura, she listened. She explained why it was unlikely that the person who wanted to cheat would be able to carry out their scheme. It turned out she knew someone at another law firm, a trustworthy person who would have information about the situation. She talked to them, they told her nothing like what I heard was going on, and gave her a relevant document their firm had. She also got them to agree to send me updated versions in the future. Laura looked up another document from public records, and saw that things were being handled in a normal manner.
Laura explained to me how things work, which was very helpful. Then she said I didn't need her anymore. Now I can ask for the updated report directly. Great service.

After meeting with several lawyers, we chose to lead with Laura due to her professional but personable and friendly manner. We feel it is important to not only have someone who is great professionally, but also to have someone who will be able to understand you as an individual. Every meeting with Laura was informative and we were kept up-to-date with every stage of our case. She was available for us when we needed her and helped us understand everything we needed to provide as well as to expect. The most important factor was that for our case, Laura ensured we were always over-prepared and one-step ahead so that we were ready for any situation. That is what you want from your lawyer. You do not want to be in a position of not having all the information needed, or for being without documents. Laura walked us through every part of the procedure and ensured we had everything we needed. She was a delight to talk to and had a wonderfully positive attitude. I cannot recommend her or her service enough and she will always be my first port of call should I need an attorney.

Ms. Lattman agreed to handle the petition for my husband's green card after we had been told by another lawyer that our case lacked sufficient evidence of co-habitation, and was too complicated to handle. Ms. Lattman was confident that we could demonstrate our bona fide marriage by alternate forms of documentation and was confident from the start that she could handle our case.
She personally drafted letters and affadavits in order to strengthen our petition, oversaw the compiling of seeming endless papers we presented as personal evidence such as photos, bills, letters, etc. She handled all of the "dirty work" herself, making copies, filling in our applications, handling our USCIS payments, preparing our case, in an incredibly efficient manner. Phone calls were answered promptly, and she dedicated time to each call, detail to each e-mail, and dispelled for us much of the myth and misinformation surrounding the immigration process.
We were able to reach Laura whenever we had a question, or whenever I felt overwhelmed by the process. The most outstanding quality of her service was her immediate response to my calls and e-mails; She handled each problem and question with a great degree of confidence and compassion.
Needless to say, our petition resulted in my husband's receiving his green card with no problem, almost four months after she submitted the application to USCIS. The complications of our case were related to our job, where we move two to three times a year, therefore changing USCIS jurisdictions. Laura handled the paperwork relating to transfering the case, which we had been informed by another attorney was too complicated.
We had been overwhelmed by other lawyer's prices, and Laura's fees were almost half of what we had been quoted when we were "shopping" for an immigration attorney.
In short, we have Laura Lattman to thank for my husband's green card, and will not hesitate to recommend her to our friends and co-workers, and to call her in the future.

Many business owners rely on third parties to take care of everything, which I did, and Mr. Andolino was very forthright and pointed out all the things I had done wrong or had not done over the years.
For example, his firm prepared paperwork for a Joint tenancy with rights of survivorship to protect my wife. Set up the paperwork to transfer property upon death without going through probate. His firm also completed the paperwork to reduce future estate taxes through exclusions. That was only the work for my personal estate; his firm also handed all the paperwork that needed to be filed for my business and partnership.
Sometimes it pays to get a second set of eyes to go over your financial documents and see what was missed and Joseph Andolino and Associates did an outstanding job.

We recently worked with James for a re-adoption case in Suffolk county. I am so happy to say that his professionalism and care were beyond any expectations. He handled our case in the mist of the COViD pandemic and with the courts not working and hardly responding, he was still able to keep our case going and finalized in a few month. I hired James Greenberg for an adult adoption. After consulting with a few lawyers James was the only one that not only understood what I was trying to accomplish but had experience with the process. He is always there to answer any questions and does his best to explain the process and expected timelines. Once all the information was given to James he took care of everything and called with periodic updates on where we were in the process and what to expect next. The entire process went very smoothly with James heading off or taking care of any problems that arose. James Greenberg is our favorite lawyer EVER! He is truly a special human being who was there for us every step of the way in the adoption of our wonderful child. Michael Leavy had come highly recommended from a Real Estate Professional that I had worked with over the past several years. (Personally, I think that word of mouth is the best form of a compliment.) I called Mr. Leavy when we were refinancing our home and received time sensitive paperwork that needed to be addressed. The paperwork arrived during the Christmas holidays and I was concerned that we would not be able to have it reviewed before the deadline. Mr. Leavy understood our need for services within a very short time frame and made it a priority to get this matter addressed. He was extremely professional and did not make my husband or I feel rushed. I went to Ms. Latkovskaia to have my will done. I don't like or trust lawyers in general and have had bad experiences in the past. This experience was completely different. Our consultation was lengthy, friendly and informative. I had not committed to paying her anything but she treated me like I was a VALUED client, even though I had just met her that day. I ended up not only getting my will done but I brought in my wife and got her's too. And at a later time we had a trust creatived to protect our assets and our children's future. I still call Ms. Latkovskaia from time to time for advise. She has always been prompt, professional and someone who tells me the truth, NOT just what I want to hear. Rose helped our family out during crisis. She established a Trust and a will for both of my parents. At the time I consulted with her, both of my parents were hospitalized and I did not have a clue what I needed to do. Rose walked me through the process! When my father was released from the hospital and put in a rehab facility, she came to the rehab facility as my father was unable to come to her.
Rose was kind, patient and caring throughout this process and thoroughly explained what was in the best interest to our families needs.

I hired Rose for my first case in 2011. Rose worked to get my Mother on Medicaid. My Mother required to be cared for in a nursing home. I would not have been able to complete this task on my own. It was very complicated and Rose did an outstanding job. My experience with Rose is like going to a friend or family. Rose was able to protect my home by setting up a trust.
I also had to have power of attorney and healthcare proxy set up for myself and for my Father to care for my Mother. I had the same documents completed in the event I would need to care for my Father.Rose helped to draw up a will for myself and a will for my Father.
When my Mother passed away, Rose attended the funeral.
In 2015 I put my home on the market and Rose referred my to a real estate lawyer who was excellent .Rose advised me as well in the process.
Again in 2015 I hired Rose now for my Father who became very ill. My Father required to receive Medicaid and she successfully got him approved. He has a different situation than my Mother and he can stay home, so Rose was able to guide me through that complicated process as well. Rose helped to set up another type of trust for him.
In 2016 my Father was hit by a car and injured, I turned to Rose and she referred us to an accident lawyer who also is excellent.
Rose continues to check in with me and I can contact her at anytime for any advise. Rose is the best.
