I was driving for LYFT and after a minor fender bender (6 months past), I was surprised to get a court summons to pay the other guys insurance company the repair bill (about $5000). I thought LYFT had taken care of it but for whatever reason, they let it slip by without settling the problem. I started calling lawyers but w/o a personal injury component most would not even discuss it. Several referred me to Chris Rounds but I was a bit worried about how much it would cost! After a free consultation, I felt much better about the initial $1500 retainer. Chris quickly made some phone calls and wrote a letter and presto, Lyft settled the issue and I got a refund of almost $1000. I would highly recommend Chris as an ethical lawyer that explains your options very well.

No narcissist, abuser, bully, intimidator, gas lighter, manipulator, or exploiter are too big for Kirk Davis! My case was complicated and multi-faceted. I was injured when I was rear ended by another car. I sustained a concussion and neck trauma. Because of the concussion, I was not mentally functioning very well. GLP Attorney's was recommended by both my doctor and massage therapist. They could see that I was not functioning well. The other person's insurance company was pressuring me to fill out forms and sign them. I couldn't even think clearly to make simple decisions. So, I and my husband met with Cydney to discuss what was happening. Oh my gosh, I can't even imagine what I would have done without her help and support. I ended up getting treatment and help all the way through this ordeal. Because of Cydney's help and support, I did not have to deal with the other insurance company. She handled everything so that I could just concentrate on getting well. In the end my doctor bills and therapy bills were paid in full and I received a small settlement for all of the difficulties I went through to get well. I can't tell you how much it means to have had the support from this wonderful lady (Cydney Campbell Webster) and the (GLP Attorney's) team she works with.

I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. In the summer of 2019, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. Fortunately, I do not remember the accident. The EMT’s put me into an induced coma at the scene of the accident and after a few days in the hospital I was brought out of the coma.
After waking up, all I wanted to do was to get out of the hospital and back to work in a business I had just started. I felt that the aches and pains were just a distraction from the dedication I needed to make the business successful. My punctured lung, broken ribs, broken other bones, smashed in face, missing teeth, my body numb from the hips down, and a severe head injury with a hematoma could just be ignored. Maybe I was not thinking straight!
My wife suggested that we should sit down with an attorney regarding the accident, and I reluctantly took a meeting with Paula McCandliss from Brett Law. I wasn’t keen on lawyers, and I did not put much effort into the meeting. My thoughts were that I’d quickly get over my bumps and bruises and Paula would be wasting her time with my case. Well, I was not thinking straight, and thank goodness for Paula putting up with my callousness.
The physicians and hospital staff did a respectable job putting me back together, but it’s hard for them to determine the extent of the injuries, and of course the medical profession cannot get you back to 100%. After my discharge It took time for me and my primary physician et. al. to determine my ongoing care and what medical problems would be permanent.
Let me say this- I was fortunate to have met Paula and her team at Brett Law. They were always personal, professional, and caring, and not to mention they worked tirelessly on my case. It was ‘my bad’ to assume that they were just a firm chasing an ambulance. To my ignorance, I didn’t perceive the onslaught of hospital and specialty physician invoices, the art of dealing with medical and auto insurance companies along with collection agencies on invoices that were never presented to me. Paula helped us get through all these unforeseen hurdles with kindness, legal insight, and experience. She is a great coach to lead you through the myriad of difficulties you may face after a painful accident, and I highly recommend her. You will appreciate both her legal skill and warm personality.

Jocelyn and Linsey were the key players in helping complete my case when I was rear-ended. Walking into Rodi’s office for the first time, I was nervous. I was staring down what was certain to be a long, nasty, complex divorce and I needed to make sure I had the best representation possible. But, I also had to know I could trust and relate to whoever might provide that.
Rodi commanded the room with her presence, nevertheless, she immediately put me at ease. Within no time at all I could tell she understood where I was coming from, what my children and I were going through, and how my ex figured into these things. She got up to speed on my particularly complicated/unique situation extremely quickly, and I knew at once I had an ally. And a determined, smart, experienced, relentless, caring one at that. I knew she had my back from day one.
And she never once faltered. Through the countless, pointless and malicious deviations, distractions, and motions my ex threw up to complicate things; the endless diatribe of slander and lies, the messy and ugly, Rodi was my rock. She – and her equally amazing and dedicated paralegal – gave me confidence, kept me informed, and put everything into perspective. She has a vast history with and inside knowledge of the courts and judges and she possesses a fierce, but steady, demeanor. She doesn’t let emotion get in the way as she works tirelessly to create a fair, appropriate, and welcome outcome.
When my ex failed to even try to make mediation a success, we faced at court time—something both she and I had hoped to avoid. Mediation is always Rodi’s preferred outcome; that said, the court is truly where she shines. My own court experience turned into a three-day circus of sorts, thanks to my ex’s antics, vitriol, and curious representation. Rodi was at the top of her game fielding all the balls he kept trying to throw at us; she had hold of every thread and met each of his efforts with her legal expertise to ensure they fell short.
Above all else, though, Rodi held my children at the heart of the everything and truly served as their advocate. There is no doubt that my kids were her highest, sacred priority.

Let me start off by saying, the ONLY reason I got an attorney, was because my chiropractor’s office required an attorney for motor vehicle accident claims.
At my first consult with Peter, I seemed very confident it was going to be helpful to have him and his team on my side. Boy was I wrong.. I literally did everything the entire process. I was told having a lawyer would make things easier and I wouldn’t have to do much work- WRONG. I had to hassle USAA MYSELF to get them to redo my car valuation THREE TIMES because they kept messing it up. Peter assured me he would be able to help get my car back quickly, but my car sat at a shop and then got towed to a junk yard without my knowledge or consent, so Peter’s team thought it was a total loss and told me to tell them everything I had in my car so we could get reimbursed for it all. I literally just wanted my car to be fixed and be back to me. Peter said this would be the easier part, wouldn’t take long at all to handle, and the medical stuff would take the longest- which it did. But getting my car back took about 5 months. I was without a vehicle for 5 months. I was in contact with one paralegal on Peter’s team who didn’t seem interested in helping me, and then he dropped off the face of the earth and I was working with another one, but then I believe even a third paralegal ended up taking over without anyone telling me anyone was switching. I’ve been confused and frustrated basically this entire process. I kept getting told I’d hear back from his group, and then I wouldn’t hear from them for weeks, even months, I’d have to email multiple times to get an actual response from anyone to answer any of my questions. It’s been a battle. I feel like I’ve battled the insurance company as well as his attorneys office- I’ve put in so much time and effort, all that was promised I wouldn’t have to put in, but I did. If you don’t hear anything from the insurance company, communicate that to your clients!!! Don’t just leave them on read and ghost them!! Unacceptable! And if you switch paralegals on someone, let them know! I was so confused getting emails from names I didn’t recognize and having them act like we’ve spoken before, but never once got introduced to any new person on my case. This whole process has been a shitshow in my opinion and next time I get in a wreck, I’m not getting an attorney- clearly I can do everything they do, but get it done in a more timely manner, I proved that this entire process.
And when I brought this up to Peter towards the end of working with them, he told me “sorry for your inconvenience” but not once did he say they’d do anything to make it better or an easier process. Once I got my check sent for someone else outside his team, I’ve never heard from him again, not even to say thank you for being a client and getting him and his business money from my insurance claim.
