So beyond irritated with this firm (along with literally thousands of other veterans) in the 3M lawsuit. The amount of corruption that has happened with the $6 Billion in funds supposed to be going to help veterans is beyond comprehension. At this point, we're all pretty sure we funded a second set of attorneys for 3M. This firm will gaslight you until the cows come home pointing the finger at everyone except for themselves, work at the pace of a newborn turtle, then charge you for any and every single thing under the sun they can get away with. And when putting together your settlement you can be sure they will add a little "we did a good job" bonus going to themselves that comes out of your pay in addition to the maxed out percentage (almost half) of what they are already taking plus fees. (Luckily in our case 9% was only a $360,000,000 bonus added). Nothing has been going the way it should, they find sneaky ways to get you to do what they want, and then when you do and find out what happened you're stuck. You can get your number called 1000 times at the DMV on its busiest days before you will ever see a dime of your money, and the settlement will reflect nothing but benefits for the defense and your attorney but it will be funded by you. When your client has lost every defense and appeal they have in court, you can rest assured that they will strike a completely low balled deal with AWKO that in no way benefits you, force you to take it or nothing at all, and they will write it in a way that is best for them....eerrrr I mean YOU!! Then, the settlement won't even be followed accordingly but you'll be held on your end to the T as long as they hit their goals and get that bonus! If you have a financial hardship and your case is settled but you've been waiting on your "expedited" payment for over a year...don't worry, there's always a pre or post settlement loan! Or...no they won't allow you to do that either. And if you apply with them for a financial hardship that happens to be very time sensitive because it's a financial hardship, don't worry at all! After two weeks of doing nothing with your file, you'll get the response of "feel free to check in from time to time to see if we've completed the review". Ok! Sounds great! As long as creditors know I'm in line and theres no end in sight, they're good to go because everyone knows that IOU's pay bills. ***** All sarcasm aside, I could literally write a Tolkien sized novel at my anger and disappointment in this company's lack of care or concern for their clientele, (and have thousands and thousands of pissed off veterans standing behind me also at their end in agreement with all of this and more). Instead, I'll write reviews, US Congressman/Senators I know personally, Media, Bar Associations (which let's be honest, won't really help because they are all in the same club but still), IRS, and anyone willing to listen. At this point Im over the lies, false hope, and games being played while knowing another country club membership or Richard Mille watch was purchased with blood money. What else can I or anyone else do? The good news is, that while the majority of us may not have the know-how or network to stand up for themselves, I do...and when someone steps up and leads, many are always willing to follow.

AWKO has been representing my in the 3m case from the beginning and initially, they were great in responding to my inquiries, but since the case has been settled, they are hard to track down as far as when I receive my money. BrownGreer, the lawsuit administrator sent them my funds on April 2 with my lien waiver verified, but I have idea as to when I will see my money. They initially said that I would get the money as soon as possible after the waiver was validated, now I am being told that it could take up to 90 days after I submitted my waiver. Meanwhile what about the interest on my money that is in account? I have been trying to reach out since Friday calling numerous times during the day, leaving two voice mails and emails. When will I be contacted?

You may not verify me in your computer by name, but you sure as hell charged me 9% of my gross award in this 3M settlement…after I paid my own attorney and contingencies. Go ahead and search the MDL again. You will find my name. You are an absolute disgrace. Robbing veterans involved in the 3M litigation. Had to pay my own attorney fees and contingencies and then had to pay this clown show 9% off the top for the same “resources” I paid my own attorney for. In cahoots with Judge Rogers and profiting at a substantial rate off veterans with permanent injury. Falsely claiming how great of a deal they negotiated for veterans, meanwhile veterans will receive less than 50% of their gross award. Doctor of Jurisprudence is a license to steal.

While appreciate the hard work behind this lawsuit and the settlement. I am repulsed by the amount of monies taken by the firm. Sure, this is America and capitalism at its best - BUT also it's worst! There would be no lawsuit if not for the sacrifice of thousands of young men and women. The firm is due monies to cover costs and expenses and some profit.. Yes - that is not in dispute. But only "some" profit. I just feel the AWKO law firm could have done better by us claimants.
