Mr Komie is the best of the best. I had to fire two other attornies before finding Mr Komie so I got some experiences that I never would have wanted but there I was. I was referred to Mr Komie by another attorney. Once he was with me in court the difference was immense compared to other attornies. Often I felt I was up against the system or "the man", which I was. Mr Komie took on that system and beat it. We won. One never knows for sure what can happen in court but we won impressively. Mr Komie knows the law, the history, the ins-and-outs. He knows how to communicate and how to influence people. That includes knowing how to influence judges and juries. Yay! I felt great confidence having Mr Komie with me and that feeling of confidence was both deserved by Mr Komie and that confidence proved out with the result of my case. I was very involved with decision making in my case but trust me, one can put his or her trust in Mr Komie. He was always at least 3 steps ahead of me in thinking and strategy. My case was very high level and Mr Komie was a God send for sure. He saved me. Mr Komie's attorney assistant was Mark Belekon. He worked hard (everybody did) and hustled. He was an integral part of the team and was also very trusted and helpful and cared. The entire office staff is fantastic. Mary is at the front desk; she is super on top of things. She always knows what is happening; she always kept me informed and brings things down to a ground level in a super appreciated way. As well as the above, Mary is friendly and fun to talk to. I also want to thank Joy. Joy was kind of the behind the scenes glue. She is very knowledgable and more than helpful. I know I'm missing somebody because the entire staff cares. I could feel that. Wow!! I got my money back I was stopped for speeding on I294. The trooper fabricated the odor of marijuana He tore the car apart. After not finding any marijuana I had $25,000 that I earned from construction jobs that I foolishly hid in the armrest. He took my money. I found Mr Komie on Super Lawyers. He took my case through 6 court appearances and won my money back. I never thought it would happen. Once the cops take your dough it’s never coming back. If the cops grab your bank YOU NEED MR. KOMIE!

I was not a previous client of this man, and I'm not a current client. I spoke with him on the phone for a consultation about an issue that I'm having with my landlord. I wasn't upset by anything he said, just the way he said it. I think he was under the impression I wanted to move out of the city, because he said "chicago is so shịtty", and after I told him that I actually love my city, he said "oh yeah, its great in the summer time". ??? Very bizarre thing to say, and so unprofessional. I took a chance on speaking with him, even considering the negative reviews that he has, in the end my experience was the same as theirs. He managaed to belittle me, raise his voice, and still had the gall to tell me "I'm not arguing with you" in a call that only lasted 20 minutes. I'm not an argumentative person, and I was coming to him for help so I would never argue with someone whose assistance I'm seeking. I never doubted his credentials but he still felt the need to tell me three times that he's been "doing this for 20 years", even though I never asked. Maybe others have had a better experience with him but that wasn't my take at all. So, I guess, be cautious. Edited to say: 1. Just because the legal advice is free, doesn't mean its professional. 2. YELLING OR RAISING YOUR VOICE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL, ESPECIALLY NOT "100% PROFESSIONAL". Have you had a conversation with another person before?? 3. Belittling me by saying "I guess you don't know the law" is not professional. If I knew the law I wouldn't be seeking legal counsel? 4. Keep your "sense of humour" at bay during business calls and refrain from cursing or possibly, maybe even unintentionally, insulting the person you're speaking with. Says he's 100% professional but doesn't deny yelling/raising his voice, or cursing during the call. STOP YELLING AT PEOPLE WHO ARE COMING TO YOU FOR HELP. That's more mind boggling than cursing in a "joking" manner.

I can't imagine having gone to anyone but Aaron Krolik, and I can't recommend him enough. Our Landlord failed to return our security deposit as required by law, and Aaron was responsive, organized, persistent, and determined with our case. When dealing with extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and overtly untruthful opposing counsel, Aaron kept accurate and extensive records and made sure the case kept progressing, despite defendant delays. He allowed my wife and I to focus on the rest of our life (and growing family) because we knew we could trust that Aaron was on top of it. Even after easily winning the judgment, there was significant work to be done to actually get the money, but Aaron got it done (deposit + 2x penalty + interest + his own fees). If we were still in Chicago, Aaron would be my first call for any landlord issues. He has renewed my faith in the justice system.

Our landlord refused to give us our security deposit back and even though we knew our landlord was breaking the RTLO, we didn't initially realize the ordinance also calls for the landlord to pay lawyer and court fees when you win in this situation. (We almost tried to sue on our own which would have been a nightmare!) We decided to Google lawyers, discovered Aaron, left a message, and he personally called us right back. We didn't have to pay Aaron anything and he helped us easily and quickly get the full settlement from our landlord (plus recover his own fees). He knew everything about landlord/tenant law inside and out and made everything so easy. We just wish we would have called him sooner!

We hired Aaron for a consult which was possible to schedule on short notice. He did not tell us what we wanted to hear, but more importantly, I believe he told us what we NEEDED to hear. He took adequate time to explain what our options were while making it clear what hypotheticals he would/could not speculate on. Was able to resolve our situation without second guessing ourselves. He does have a strong personality that lends itself to candidness.

Aaron took the time out to talk to me about my options and gave me legal advice outside of business hours. He’s one of the most knowledgeable and passionate attorneys I’ve spoken to in a long time.
