This office is TERRIBLE!! They lack customer service & professionalism to the human race. Being a single parent is no fun & all I’m trying to do is advocate for my children to get the support that they deserve. I’ve had one person actually listen to me. The others not so much, with their rude personalities & popping their gum in my face while I’m attempting to have a civil conversation. I hate that I have to be involved with this office at all, but I keep reminding myself it’s for my kids!!
Lord help you if you have to contact this office. You spend half you day waiting for someone to answer the phone only to tell you “it looks like they are working on it, I’ll let your case worker know!” Or if they are trying to call you back they wait til 4:30pm & if you don’t answer the phone they leave you a message but of course they have already closed so you can’t call back that same day. It’s a vicious circle.

waited for 2 hours and spoke to no one, called back the next day waited 2.5 hours still didn’t get an answer. Have made zero progress in collecting money from my ex who has a job and I turned in our court paper work for ordered support in dec 2017.

This office is full of SHIT. My child will be 9 years old in 2 months, they've yet to "locate" her father. The crazy part about this is he's been arrested in Jefferson County several times within the 9 years. They do not put forth any efforts at all. I live in a different state so I have to call to get a status update, well no matter the time of the day, I NEVER EVER get an answer. I can stay on hold for over 4 hours and still no one answers. This is very sad. I believe hiring more people to at least answer the phone would help.

There's no human interaction whatsoever. Horrible customer service. When you are able to find someone that can help you, they work to the best of their abilities. Whoever makes the decisions, obviously needs to offer overtime, or get far more help so they can give individual attention to each case.it would only make sense, but I'm sure budget cuts will be the reason why this will never happen.

I called for a week straight with no answers. Had to go to the office just to get anything done. Get there and there is 4!!!!! People behind the counter talking, not taking care of anyone. I hope tax dollars is not paying for girl talk all day at work instead of actually doing what you are paid to do.

The Jefferson County Child support office worker are very rude and ghetto. They sit behind the desk discussing there life story then rush you off with little to no help. They get paid to do their job but act like you are getting on there nerves for asking questions relavent to your case. The waiting room is disgusting don't let your children touch the toys they never wash are disinfect anything.
