If your child gets into any trouble (drug/alcohol/criminal/or an issue that you need a lawyer) at the University of Maryland, this is the man you want to hire! He's honest, intelligent and will do whatever he can to lessen the severity of the issue. Affordable and very knowledgeable about the court system of PG County. Our child was very lucky and ended up with 1 year probation (court system) and only a suspension from Maryland instead of explusion. Read the reviews, excellent lawyer.

I've known Gary Gerstenfield for years now and I can honestly say that he is the most interesting man in the world. I don't always use a lawyer but when I do, I prefer Gary Gerstenfield. He will prove you not guilty my friends. On a serious note,Gary is the best attorney I could have hired. I have the highest regard for Gary Gerstenfield. In late December, 2012, I had a problem with the state courts in Maryland. As time went by, Gary Gerstenfield told me that it has been a year since the event and the Maryland constitution stated very clearly that a trial would be expedited, within 6 to 12 months I had a 4th court trial scheduled on February 6th (all previous court appearances were delayed except for the 6th of February, and he raised the issue of the tardiness in resolving my case. He then brought up that he had lost a crucial witness and that I no longer remembered much of what happened during that evening. So what happened? All aspects of the case were dismissed and the event was expunged from my record. Gary Gerstenfield is very well liked in Montgomery County. I can clearly see why. He is brilliant, and obviously thinks a great deal about each client, giving each one the best in legal care

Gary has a masterful knowledge of the Law, Gary in the courtroom is like a fish in water, it's his element, it's where he belongs, and it's what he's good at! I had a couple scratches on my arm and the cops showed up at our house because of loud noise, they took my wife to jail and charged her with assault! Every other lawyer told me the only option you have is to Use your Marital Privilege and not testify against your wife, problem is you can only use that once in your life, Gary said no, I don't want to use that because you can only use it once, and this doesn't warrant it. So we went to Trial, I testified, and My wife was found Not Guilty, we had a brutal prosecutor, but Gary's Defense was rock solid. Anyhow my wife was found not guilty, and we did it without using the Marital Privilege.That's something only real expertise can get you..Some one who really knows all the intricacies of the Law. I got myself into quite a jam at the end of 2011 with a DUI in Montgomery County. At first I chose an attorney from the Baltimore County area (where I’m from) to represent me. I later found out that this was a bad choice as he didn’t really defend me as tactfully as he could have. I was put on probation (with a DUI monitor) for 6 months, which would have been great had I not screwed up the terms of my probation—not showing up to appointments, failing the interlock device, etc. So once again I was up against Montgomery County. This time I decided to go with Gary Gerstenfield, as I was at the end of my rope and he was recommended as the best MoCo had to offer. Well, he was better than that. As easy as it was to dig myself into such a hole, he more than skillfully helped me out of it. I don’t say this to celebrate avoiding jail time, which was DEFINITELY where I was headed. I say it because I desperately wanted to deal with my alcohol issues outside of jail. I needed help, and help is what I got. He doesn’t sugar coat anything, he doesn’t paint all things rainbows and freedom. What he does is know the law, how to best defend you, and how to give you what you pay for.
