I had an illegal stalking case in 2007, supposed to get probation, Redfield made an agreement with the DA, but the defendant went on the stand for about an hour & ended up screwed over & convicted.
I stopped in yesterday & spoke with Redfield, but didn't remember him making an agreement.
If she wouldn't have gone on the stand, would have gotten probation.
He is retiring at the end of this month & won't take new cases.

By far the best family law experience I have ever had. I have been battling a custody case for going on 7 years. If we're honest I didn't really have the money to hire an attorney and had been doing it on my own. Well in short I had a couple disgruntled ex gfs and a biased g.a.l. against me. Mr Redfield handled it all very well. I almost felt as if my case was the only case he was handling although I know that wasn't the case. The biggest thing for me was his compassion. He and I talked for hours and hours...all of which he didn't charge me extra money for, as has been my experience with most other lawyers. We discussed a price and he stuck to it. Which was HUGE for me, because if he wanted more money I probably would have been out of luck. In court (which ended up being a 3 day evidentiary hearing) he couldn't have examined/cross examined better. He and I had some different thoughts on the process but I put my trust in him seeing as he's the lawyer. He didn't let me or my son down. In fact he couldn't have done better. If you're dealing with a custody issue choose this guy. You won't regret it. Every man I know feels they don't have a chance in custody court, pick Jared Redfield and you won't feel that way anymore. The cards were against me going in. But he brought to light ALL the facts that really mattered and showed the court what a fathers love truly means. And against the g.a.l. recommendation the judge ruled for me to have primary placement and sole custody. Which is truly what is in my sons best interest. From me and my kids. THANK YOU Jared.

From the outset Jared was a true professional. I was entering into what became an extremely difficult divorce case which was further complicated by my loss of job and an opposing attorney that would say and do anything his client wished regardless of facts. Jared will listen and advise accordingly. His calming demeanor helped me when things were at there most difficult. Jared is compassionate and actively cared about me during the whole process. Last year, I found myself in legal trouble due to a poor decision and unchecked mental health issues. Initially, I faced felony charges in superior court, and in a panic, I contacted multiple attorneys. What stood out about Brandon was that he took the time to review my case without pressuring me to hire him, offering an honest consultation on what he thought would happen. Other attorneys were more focused on securing my business, with one even suggesting I might face a lengthy prison term if I didn't hire them immediately.
Fortunately, the County dropped the felony charge, but then the city filed charges. I reached out to Brandon, who agreed to represent me. Understanding my financial situation, he reduced his fees and offered a manageable payment plan. So I had gotten into a query with a big company trying to take thousands of dollars from me, I knew it wasn't right from what I had done previously to take care of this, I got a 30 minute consultation from Brandon (probably was longer) and it saved me those thousands of dollars, he was able to reasure me on the steps I took were right, able to tell me what to ask the people for quality information and point me in the right direction which led to alot of money saved. I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his staff. I had a very messy divorce. I worked with another lawyer for seven months and he did very little for me except continually remind me that Wisconsin was a 50/50 state and that even though I brought significant assets into the marriage while my ex had, none, I earned about three times more during the marriage, and we were only married for a short time, I was going to have split everything 50/50 with him. He pressured me to agree to a very bad mediation deal.
Luckily, before having the judge finalize the mediation agreement, I came across Sean‘s reviews on Google. I wasn’t just looking at how many stars he was given but I read what people wrote about him. People repeatedly commented on his commitment, his dedication, and going the extra mile. I made an appointment for a consultation with Sean. Within the first five minutes of our meeting, he said, “Let me show you what the law actually says, I have had to educate other counsel and judges about this.” He printed off the actual law where it states that Wisconsin is a 50/50 state after consideration is made for the following items, which included length of marriage, what each brought into the marriage, and the length of the marriage.
After talking a little more, he asked why I didn’t have a restraining order and I told him that my previous lawyer told me it was 50/50 whether I would get it and that it would be inflammatory and work against me even though I felt very unsafe and threatened. Sean appeared very upset after hearing this, and disagreed, but continued to be professional and not bad mouth the other lawyer.
Sean was very brave about taking on my case this late in the game with a fast approaching court date and so much information to take in. Also, my ex hired a lawyer who I had heard said is the best divorce lawyer in La Crosse. I wholeheartedly disagree, because Sean definitely is the best.
I am still in awe of the commitment Sean made to helping me get a fair trial and a great outcome. I would see emails from him sent on weekends and in the middle of the nightat times. It was so reassuring to know he was on my side and so determined. He blocked out several days of his calendar so that he could familiarize himself with my huge stack of documents. As soon as I retained Sean as my attorney, I finally felt like I could relax and let him take care of it. I knew that no matter what happened with the results of the trial, I would be satisfied, because I had the best representation I could possibly have.
My hearing went on for two days. Sean was relentless in his effort to get me a fair trial and justice. In the end, the judge decided to divide the assets 80/20 in my favor. I did not get everything I wanted, but that never happens in court. It was about $70,000 that Sean saved me based on what my previous attorney was forecasting with a trial outcome.
In some ways, more importantly, Sean gave me the opportunity to tell my story and have it validated by the judge. He was so committed to making it clear that I tried so hard during the marriage and that my ex was dishonest and completely took advantage of me. It seemed that Sean felt a moral obligation to not let my ex take more from me and to have his greediness and dishonesty exposed.
I will also say that his staff was very friendly and hard-working. Sean went out of his way to try to save me money when he could by having me do some of the legwork if I wanted. He kept me consistently updated on status and promptly responded to all of my messages. Hopefully I will never need counsel again, but if I did, I would definitely retain Sean again. If it were possible to give him 10 stars, I would.

My ex boyfriend who had lived with me for 10 years wanted half of everything I had after he had already agreed on and cashed the $20,000 cashier check that I had given him for half of the home improvements he helped with. Ms. Gause and her partner, Ms Robinette, will work tirelessly to get the truth out in defense of their client. Our son was falsely accused by his disgruntled teenage daughterof raping her. The first trial ended in a mistrial (not defended by Ms Gause). When the accuser realized how Ms. Gause would defend our son (by demanding counseling records and more), the accuser dropped all the charges. If it had not been for Ms Gause and her excellent work our son would probably be in prison now for crimes he absolutely did not commit. She kept us informed of everything she was doing in his defense and was available to us by text or phone at any time. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a criminal defense lawyer.

Emily Gause and Laura Robinett are the best of the best super lawyers in Washington State.
I was falsely accused of something I did not do. Before the accusations, I was at the top of my career with great reputation. I was successful through hard work, innovation, and being kind & generous.
Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of teaching an immature ethically questionable student clinician who I caught lying, broke rules, and was late for work multiple times. When I counseled this struggling intern, she broke down, cried, and gained my sympathy. Over time, she called me her mentor and acted as though she could improve professionally and ethically. I was wrong. At the end of her training, to benefit her and her future patients, in her grading form, I wrote an honest feedback that she needed to improve professionally and ethically. She got murderously angry, but I didn’t know that she would retaliate the very next day with false accusations. She even lied to law enforcement officers.
My boss told me to go with the special agents and answer their questions.
*If law enforcement special agents want to ask you questions and accuse you of something that you did not do. Stop the interview. Tell them you want to invoke your 5th US Constitutional Rights. Then, call an attorney stat - Call Emily or Laura ASAP. If you don’t, you will be in a legal nightmare.*
Most people believe law enforcement officers are helpful and are unbiased neutral enforcers of the law, and from my experience, this is true.
However, when it comes to special agents who are trained as interviewers/interrogators, it seems, these officers will do what it takes, getting you tired, stressed out, shocking you, taking things out of context, using indirect threats, implied promises, hypothetical questions, repeatedly asking the same questions, denying your answers, cutting you off from answering, putting words that they want you to say right after asking a question, tricking you to wrongly remember, tricking you to miss speak, to get you the suspect to “go along” with their line of questioning, and much more. Then, they will write a one-sided mentally biasing report that contain only the pieces of the whole story in order to get you prosecuted.
When the human brain is in a mental shock or stressed, it cannot process information correctly. The Special Agents are trained to trigger the stress hormone in your brain. The longer you talk with them, the more likely the stress hormones will make you wrongly remember. Eventually, you will miss speak. This is self-incrimination. Fact is, the law enforcement special agents have qualified immunity when they are interviewing suspects. This means, they can legally lie to you without problems.
In my case, the interrogators used all their interrogation tactics with the guise of a neutral interview. In hindsight, I realize now, the special agents didn't care about the actual facts. They just wanted to get me to wrongly remember and miss speak in order to take things out of context to get me prosecuted. It is their job. They are good at their job.
Please note: the special agents had evidence the accuser had lied to them. But, the special agents never mentioned this fact in their investigation report. Why wouldn’t they? Remember, their job is to get subjects prosecuted. Investigators will publicly say they are supposed to be unbiased and neutral. But, from my experience, this isn’t true.
In the beginning of my case, I had incompetent prior lawyers. Only after Emily Gause and Laura Robinett took my case and pointed out to the prosecutor the non-credible evidence of the accuser and the mischaracterization of the special agent’s report, did the prosecutor offered me a guaranteed way, an SOC, to get my charge dismissed with prejudice. Emily and Laura explained all my legal options and risks, and I am grateful. I most highly recommend both Emily Gause and Laura Robinett above all other defense lawyers in Washington State.

I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move. Personally answered my call after midnight on a Wednesday morning, I had to be in court in one week he was there, 105 miles from his office. Chris and his team got me enrolled into everything that would help my case that first weekend, continued my case till I had completed all required tasks while out with no bail. After the firm requested discovery from the State Police several times, it was never received. Resulting in the case and all charges being dismissed. I did not have to pay any fines or court cost. The fee for the attorney was well worth it (it wasn't much at all)!!

I hired Scott Miller after I contacted a different criminal defense attorney which didn't get back with me until three days. During that time I contacted Scott Miller, his assistant Holly took my call and was very professional and assured me that Scott would get back with me promptly as he was in court at the time. A few hours at the most Scott Miller called me back and after explaining my case to him and him reviewing it I hired him on the spot. I felt that he was the right one. That was one of the best choices I've ever made. After a couple of months fighting the case Mr. Miller had the case dropped on July 1st 2024 a third degree misdemeanor with up to a year in jail. Sam played a critical role in protecting my acupuncture license. My son was taken from his mother by DCFS I didn’t know this happened until 4 and half month after he was placed in a strangers house ! And this was the second DCFS case the first one I was the victim that didn’t press charges or show up to the case because my logic was I was the victim in that case so how do I need to show up ? Well I was very wrong and my rights to my son were limited to 1 supervised visit per year! So for 4 years I was basically paying her to see my kid and I was paying large sums of money to do so. When I showed up to court, the court provided me with so free but terrible lawyer I left court and was reaching out to her and her office with no response calling 4-5 times a day for over a week and that wasn’t gonna work! So I literally meet or had phone conversations with every attorney that deals with these type of cases and I only had a good feeling about Matt so I retained him he promised to get me full custody of my son and we came up with a solid game plan and instructed me every step of the way he was also was my therapist and a very patient friend because I too was in the system when I was a child so I was very hard to witness my child going through the same traumatic situation , Long story short Sole physical custody and the mom only gets a 4 hour visit per month this was my dream and it’s a reality now !!!
