Ten years ago when my charming Japanese mother was merely 75 and enjoying retirement, I would never imagined the family we are today. I doubt now the worthy of saving too much money your lifetime because doing so may be the dragon that eats you. Since, I’ve learned and witnessed and heard of through my associations with caregivers, this is all too common. Be careful what you wish for.
I cannot have chosen a better attorney for my guardianship case. I also can’t help but think Ryan Moe worked this case because he was sent out from heaven to me and Mom. He was supposed to and for good reason. The man is made from fine cloth and don’t judge him for his seriousness or his disappearing or his directness - he’s working it all out upstairs, metaphysically speaking - he’s got a natural clear intuit so keep things easy on yourself and answer the questions concisely. Ryan is remarkably intelligent and he imagines strategies and it’s fascinating to watch him dance with the pieces and “the bad guys”. Sorry! Had to. He’s my 2022 Super Hero!!!! Thank you Universe! I am so grateful to him and Elizabeth for taking us in!
While I believe justice and fairness are human constructs and we should not hold tight to the ideas of such - Ryan Moe will make you believe they are real if only a little while.

When my father passed away and it was clear that there were going to be disputes with my sibling I started contacting lawyers. The first 3 lawyers I contacted all told me to go to the state and file with Adult Protective Services. I didn't feel this was the way to go. I got on the internet and started researching lawyers with Elder law experience and found Mr. Ryan Moe. I contacted his office and went to see him a few days later. I liked him immediately and knew he was very knowledgeable about Elder law. When I had my first consultation with him about my mom's diminished capacity he set up a doctor's appointment so my mother could be checked by a professional. She was indeed found to have diminished capacity that no one else in the family wanted to admit to. I also advised him that my sibling was taking all kinds of money and wanted to see if he could get it stopped. Throughout the whole process I knew Mr. Moe was the best lawyer for the job. He was laid back but aggressive when needed to be. He put me at ease right away and I knew he had my back at all times. I very much respect and would recommend Mr. Moe to anyone having problems with siblings and disputes. He was easy to talk to and listened and offered advice. If the need arises for more legal help I will definitely call Mr. Moe. Very easy to talk to and puts you at ease. He is a compassionate and caring individual.

When our Mom passed away several years ago, Bill handled the Reverse Mortgage notification for us. Then six years later we received hundreds of pages of documents about the property that we did not understand. The relief I felt and the burden that was lifted after I called Bill and spoke with him about the documents received in regard to our mother’s reverse mortgage is the biggest part of the reason for this excellent rating.

From the outset, Mr. Matthews and his Associate gave a realistic appraisal of the difficulty of this type of case. His whole firm was quite supportive. The Defendant and her Defense Attorneys tried many times and many ways to derail my lawsuit. Mr. Matthews was undeterred by all of their legal machinations. In the Courtroom, his legal arguments won the day, hearing after hearing, and he batted
a thousand. The Judge threw out every Defendant's maneuver and commended Mr. Matthews and his firm on their integrity, and thoughtful legal arguments. We ended up in Mediation in less than two years. Craig T. Mathews and Associates has been filing mechanic's liens for our company to secure payments from contractors who have been building water and wastewater treatment plants for municipalities. We sell pumps for handling sludge and metering a variety of treatment chemicals in these plants. This is about $4 million in billings per annum for our company. We believe that this service has allowed us to reduce our accounts payable by close to $1 million. Before we started using these liens, contractors made numerous counterclaims and back-charges against us. Many were also slow in paying the performance "holdbacks" that are part of these contracts. The liens are a way that we can counter these claims. In fact, since we have started using this service all of the frivolous claims have essentially disappeared. This law firm can file in any state in the USA. Our firm is active in every state in the USA, as well as Canada, and most of Latin America.

My mother and I were referred to Ms. Perla after my father's death to help us come up with a trust for my mother. Ms. Perla was very helpful and informative, able to answer all our questions. She was patient and kind and repeatedly let us know we could contact her with questions at any time. I was most impressed with how she interacted with my mother. My mother has Alzheimer's and deferred to me on just about every issue. Despite that, Ms. Perla always directed her questions and commentary directly to my mother. I felt it showed a great deal of respect, letting my mother know that even if she wasn't able to follow along with everything being said, all of this was about her and being done for her.

Seeking an elder care attorney to handle rather unusual business for a relative of mine, I found Carol. Within the first 20 minutes of meeting her, I knew I found the right person to deal with the "mess" I had to clear up for my aunt. Carol helped me to organize aunt's affairs, clean up/clear up outstanding issues, and be able to move forward to getting my aunt the best options available and decide how/where to go, i.e. next step. Carol was honest enough to tell me when there things I could do things myself and save money instead of having her do them. It turns out there were many things I could do myself. I found this quality amazing! An attorney who didn't want every dime I had? I had to deal with an guardianship accounting issue dating back to 2005. I visited multiple lawyers prior to meeting Ms. Woods and found that they really didn't seem to have a full grasp of what needed to be done to properly file the guardianship accounting paperwork.
Within ten minutes of our initial meeting, it was clear Ms. Woods knew the exact steps to take to get the paperwork in proper order. She was able to give my wife and I very specific instructions on the paperwork we would need, the paperwork she would need and the paperwork the court would need. She also asked us questions we didn't know to ask and that none of the other lawyers even brought up.
With her guidance and the assistance of her associates Karen and Norma, we were able to get all of the paperwork put together in a couple of weeks (which is even more impressive when noting these were holiday weeks). The paperwork has now been properly filed with the court and we now know how and when to get this paperwork filed for future years.
I cannot begin to stress how much peace of mind having someone who knows the process as well as Ms. Woods does can provide. I would highly recommend her for any family law matter.

Two relatives of mine, both sisters, had strokes within weeks of each other, after discharge from a hospital they were placed in an undesirable nursing home for rehab, which eventually turned into a long-term care situation. I was at a loss on how to get them out of this place & what to do next. That's when I called Rice Elder Law and spoke to Pam Quattrone, who immediately stepped in, made me POA, found us a wonderful facility. She also gave us information on what to do about any assets, and tirelessly worked to get them both on Medicaid. The areas of need that I sought help for were personal and financial. Prior to each meeting he provided a draft of materials, well in advance, that I could review before our meeting. several years ago I received advice to start a trust for my wife's grandmother and part of that advice was that I didn't need a lawyer to execute it or implement it upon grandma'so passing. last year grandma passed away and my wife and I found ourselves lost and overwhelmed with all the paperwork and legal matters. Paul was recommended to me when I took my sorority sister to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist for hallucinations. She lived two hours away, had no family and had never been to any doctors, so there was no one to catch the problem early . I looked at the Doctor and said, "ok what do I do now?". He handed me Paul's card and said that he thought I should call him.
Well, this was a Godsend. After talking with Paul, I knew exactly what I needed to do. I now have full responsibility for her and he has been with me the whole way from getting her diagnosed with dementia, to helping with all of the legal paperwork and consolidating the finances (after having to find all of them first!) and getting her moved in to an assisted living home where she is getting topnotch care. I went through a different attorney to create an Irrevocable trust to do what I thought was Medi-cal planning.
After about 8500 in hourly charges for this and that I was still without Medi-cal eligibility and without the support I needed to do it on my own. A social worker at Interim referred me to Mr. Philip Flanigan and said that she and others there in her office refer clients to him- that his office processes Medi-cal fast. I was happy she did. His staff was super sweet and they were so very accommodating *despite my overstressed nature*. When we got the notification from their staff that mom became eligible- I cant put into words how relieved I was. My regret is not going to Mr. Philip Flanigan first. I will be writing a negative review for the initial attorney. I recommend to anyone out there looking for an attorney with knowledge, experience, and a great staff that will walk you through to the end-- see Philip! We couldn't ask for more in terms of service, advice, cost, and flexibility. We had a trust and other documents that were 14 years old. Of course, things had changed dramatically for our family, including grandchildren. And, we honestly didn't understand our dated documents. We found Hannah through Yelp. She was highly rated. And, her military service, education, and community service sealed the deal in terms of contacting her.
We scheduled our free consultation and brought with us all of our documents. We spent well over an hour with Hannah where we discussed our concerns, asked a lot of questions, and received answers that we could actually understand. At the conclusion of the session, we felt very comfortable that Hannah was the right lawyer to help us update our documents.
We learned about how the laws had changed and Hannah reviewed all of our documents and also advised us on which assets should be included in the trust. She provided us with several alternatives for achieving our goals. She then committed to a timeframe when the updated documents would be ready for review.
We had several email exchanges during the course of her updating the documents. And, once she delivered draft documents to us, we changed our minds in several areas and we provided Hannah with our requested changes. We fully expected her to request additional monies and made that offer, but she declined to increase the bill.
Once the final documents were completed, we met in her office with her notary and signed all of the documents. And, she was patient in answering a few more last minute questions/clarifications.

I was unexpectedly hit by a car from behind by a woman going 40 miles per hour and slid into two other SUV’s on I-5 resulting in a four car accident. My car being the only one to get totaled. I suffered horrendous neck and back problems within days of the accident and underwent three years of constant doctor’s appointments and pain.
What was so upsetting was the fact that the insurance company hadn’t reviewed my file when it came time to offer me a resolution. I had new insurance adjusters assigned to my case constantly and they only cared about offering me the least amount of money possible. They didn’t care about my medical bills, pain or what I had been through.
My car accident lawyer, Brian Ellis was very helpful throughout the process. I’m so thankful I had Brian Ellis and his wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with my car insurance company. My insurance didn't want to pay for the coverage that I had paid to them for years just in case an accident would happen. Once the accident happened, it was upsetting to see how little my insurance company cared or wanted to help.
