Rachel Hodgman is a dedicated, intelligent, and professional attorney who guided me through the divorce process. Megan very quickly grasped the nuanced details of our personal situation and worked with us with both efficiency and empathy to reach an agreement that felt comfortable and reasonable to both parties.
Of note, she also has a good team and works well with them to achieve closure without excessive billing. This was important, and helpful during a process neither of us had experienced before.

I've had the pleasure to work with Jim over the past year in a custody dispute, that felt like it would never end. Jim is an amazing lawyer and fought for everything I asked for. Where do I begin... I was so ready to give up on everything and just hand my son over to my ex-which I know/knew was the stupidest thing I could have ever done in my life. I was so exhausted by the lies, the taunting, the horrible comments etc. constantly being spewed at me by my ex. It was as if, I was fighting this unbeatable monster in and outside of court, I was ready to give up, even with me being a fighter-and never giving up easily anything!!! But, at that time, I was mentally drained. My family and friends kept saying, "hire a lawyer!" initially- I didn't want to, but I knew if I didn't- I could lose my son to my ex with all the lies he constantly told. So, I went on Google, and googled-child support lawyer....and James Lukowiak aka Jim "popped up"- like neon green lights. I decided to reach out to him for a consultation. James is a very nice lawyer. He spent hours with me during the initial free consultation. I met with many lawyers in this area and none of them would spend much time with you during the initial free consultation. Actually, one lawyer tried to charge me for an extra 10 minutes after the first half hour free consultation. He knows the many details of your case because he is a very good listener. He has much experience in family law and thinks outside of the box. He pointed out several good arguments and strategies for my case that I did not think of, although I spent hours thinking every day. Most lawyers will ask me what I want them to say in court, but James is not one of them. He finds valid and strong arguments for my case. Without his expertise, I could have ended up signing an unfair agreement with my unreasonable ex and opposing counsel. If unfortunately, I have to go to court again, although I hope I don’t have to, I definitely want to keep this fighter on my side.

In a heartbeat I would Hire Mrs. Hightower again! Her work was exemplary. Her and her team are excellent communicators and tell you what she needs from you. Their response time to emails was usually within minutes, occasionally hours during the business week. Emails sent on weekends almost always had a response by 10am the following business day. When working with Mrs. Hightower and her team, I felt like I was a member of the team and not just the “paycheck”. During my time working with her team, I had one emotional reaction to something the other side had done, and her team was professional, courteous, and professional sympathetic during that event.
She does a fantastic job managing expectations and is very clear about what to expect. When I first spoke with Mrs. Hightower, my case was in another county and needed transferring. She said that we could not begin work on the case until it was transferred, and true to her word she got my case transferred and the first hearings scheduled as promptly as possible within the time frame that she predicted. I personally had two hearings with her- Temporary Orders and Final Orders hearings. During Temporary Orders she was honest about what to expect and that I would likely only get temporary custody of one of my three children, but we were trying for all three due to the really high bar we had to reach. This is ultimately what happened. When the other side refused to sign the temporary orders, she was quick to file a motion to admit into record and get signed by the judg. During Final hearings she stated that the bar to meet our desired end state was much lower and had a much higher chance of success given the information, evidence, and testimony. We were granted custody of all three of my children. Through all of it, in every in-person meeting and conference call she was always clear: We can be as prepared as we can be, and its still up to the Judge.
As a Father in Texas, I had a very low probability of being granted custody. I set out with the intent of doing everything Mrs. Hightower asked me to do, providing every document she asked for, and working as a member of the team; this was the best way to be successful - and it worked. If anyone were to ask me what advice to give when working with Mrs. Hightower it is this - be calm, collected, and pro-active. Do everything you can to control your emotions. Provide everything she asks for. Listen to her when she tells you what to expect. Always remember that despite whatever happens, and everything you have done to be successful, it’s still up to the judge. Cheryl is a saint to me. As a single father in a child custody case my initial outlook on my situation was abysmal. My daughter is my life and soul. I felt I had no chance at keeping her with me, giving her the life she deserved. Cheryl fought beyond aggressively for me for 7 long years. She first won me full custody which to me was just unheard of. She then went 1000 steps further and won me the right to relocate to another state to give my daughter the life she deserved after all she had been through. I feel I owe Cheryl a debt I can never repay. She gave me my daughter and she gave me my life back. I had been working through a divorce, thinking that we would not need a lawyer as we were attempting to split as amicable as a couple could in this day. Unfortunately, I think the court system frowns on Pro Se divorces and we found ourselves seeking an attorney to assist us through the nuances and legal-speak. Brad helped us migrate towards a clear path, cleared the way through some of the hurdles I had inadvertently constructed and actually shaved some of our final costs down from some of the leg-work I was able to successfully navigate. He was a pleasure to work with, did what he said and completed what he pursued for both myself and my ex-spouse. I would recommend him to family and friends and, should the need arise for legal assistance, will continue to pursue his services.

We found ourselves in need of an attorney out of state on very short notice. Thankfully, Brad worked us in. I had found Danielle while searching for a divorce attorney online. I was impressed with her reviews and the outstanding results she had performed for her clients over the years. The amazing part is that her performance is supreme yet her charges are very reasonably priced compared to many other attorneys and that is very difficult combination to find in a successful attorney for any client. For any challenging and Unusual circumstances during this time, she has never failed to promptly respond to my messages, emails and phone calls. Danielle is great! I recently finalized my divorce which lasted about 1 year. From my first interaction with her, she was very attentive to my wishes and understanding of my hopes. She was direct with me when my ideals were not realistic yet patiently willing to work with me if I was still determined to stay a certain course. She listened to me when it was just she and I and fought for me when she interacted with opposing counsel. She’s articulate, sharp, knowledgeable, intuitive and most importantly, honest.
