For anyone looking for legal representation. I would highly recommend hiring the Wolff & Wolff Law Firm. Michael is a man of his word and is very easy to talk to. When my workers comp case started he asked me to trust him and I'll admit I had my doubts at times. In the end of it all though Michael stayed true to his words and worked long and hard around the clock along with the rest of the law firm. They're very and family oriented. (LONG POST, BUT WELL WORTH YOUR TIME)
Jami was recommended to me by my Mother's estate attorney. I'd just traveled back to Des Moines for a class reunion, and received files from my ex-husband's business partner (who lived near us in Scottsdale part time.) These files not only proved he'd been embezzling from the company, but had also been using that money on "seeking arrangements dot com" to be a "Shuger Daddy" to many women around the country (at this point in our marriage, I didn't even like him much, but he knew because of my religion the ONLY way I'd ever divorce him would be infidelity--which I NEVER thought he'd commit...)
So, after seeing the file (AKA: my get out of jail free card) and getting Jami's info, I called her from Iowa. I told her that what I was about to say was going to sound crazy, but it was probably only the tip of the iceberg. I'm not sure if she believed everything I was telling her, but as we both found out over the course over the next nearly 2 & a 1/2 years, I was right -- it was not only the tip of the iceberg, it wasn't even 5% of it.
The divorce itself went very smoothly and quickly. However, to "punish me" for not getting back together with him after the divorce (I'd lied and said I HAD to divorce him to save face with my family--even though at this point he made my skin crawl), he decided to "get revenge" by fighting me for custody of our 4 children.
While this probably would have been a "no brainer" for anyone else, my issue was with my oldest daughter; her birth-mother (my ex's 3rd wife) passed away shortly after my daughter's birth. And even though I'd raised her since before her 2nd birthday, I couldn't adopt her because the ONE thing I needed to complete the process, but didn't have, was my ex's tax returns (he'd never filed them for around 20 years.) This left me with absolutely NO way to adopt her, and absolutely NO legal rights to her whatsoever.
Thus, a very LONG, ugly, and disgusting battle ensued (I've been diagnosed with PTSD), with the crescendo being a 2 & a 1/2 day trial. But by the end of that trial, I still have the VERY distinct impression that the judge could not STAND my ex. I could never gauge how he felt about me, but, man, he REALLY seemed to see what a scum my ex was!
Regardless, the judge ended up granting me soul custody of all 4 of my kids, the OLDEST included (my ex was granted paid visitation every other weekend -- which, of course, he never took.)
Granting me soul custody of my oldest was ABSOLUTELY unprecedented, and I don't think entirely legal in AZ, yet Jami made that happen. Granted, Judge Ryan also played a HUGE role in it all, but Jami was the person who methodically painted the pictures, both big and small, and put every piece of the puzzle into place for the judge.
To say that Jami is an amazing lawyer doesn't even come close to describe her skill, talent, and expertise. However, there honestly aren't ANY words other than AMAZING that come close.
I genuinely do not think a client could find a better lawyer than Jami Wilenchic. ANYWHERE.

Jami was hired after I had started the process and before my trial and she caught up on everything and got me the outcome I wanted. I can't say enough good stuff about Jenelle. She was the attorney that I needed. I had met with so many other attorneys on a very difficult case and they always were intimidating or just didn't care. Mariana has represented me for almost a decade starting with my separation in 2013. Unfortunately, I’ve needed her assistance navigating a difficult physical and legal joint custody of 4 children ever since. We’ve been through 2 parental coordinators (do not recommend), mediation, custody modifications and addendums, depositions of my ex and his multiple live in girlfriends (my personal favorite strategy), police and CPS involvement and attempted restraining orders. Much more but after awhile it’s just embarrassing.
Mariana has a good memory for my case which is super thick at this point. She once read 8 years of our family wizard emails before a deposition. Mariana has a good working relationship with her industry colleagues (when my ex hires and fires new attorneys Mariana gets them up to speed). Mariana is logical and non reactive. She thinks in terms of moves and counter moves.
If you are looking for revenge and want a man hating bulldog that will bury your opposition in motions and BS I would keep looking. Marina isn’t going to be your big sister, BFF or your therapist and charge you for it. If you want a thoughtful, smart, and responsive attorney that will represent your interests she’s a good person to have in your corner.

I am the father of a 6 year old girl, whose mother decided to cut me out of her life. For months, she did not allow me to have any communication, or visits with my daughter.
Mariana proceeded through the custody process extremely efficiently. All the email, calls, and discussions were extremely productive and led to a very strong case in court. Mariana is caring, extremely responsive (a rare trait in attorneys, i find), smart, well connected, and delivers results. More importantly, she is also very good at setting realistic expectations and wading through her client's emotions to tease out the facts and usable information. She prepared me well for my court date, always explained each step of the process very clearly, and made sure I was aware of all possible outcomes at all times (which greatly reduces surprises in an already emotionally difficult time).
In a scary and emotional time for me, Mariana provided guidance and results at lighting speed. The court awarded me more than I had hoped for, and I could not be any happier.

David Holm represented me two years ago during my divorce, his services were outstanding. Maya is an excellent family lawyer and absolutely worth hiring. Here are the criteria that were important when I was looking for a lawyer to help with my divorce:
1) Overall personality: a lawyer must be trustworthy and also easy to work with (there is a lot of back and forth). I interviewed Maya along with several other lawyers and after working with her for a year (which was not what either of us had hoped to spend on the divorce), I can only say good things about the above.
2) Price: her hourly rate is in line with most family lawyers. While there are some work-discount programs and also private practice laywers that may have a lower hourly rate, being at a firm has the benefit that for smaller tasks, Maya had the support of a paralegal who bills at a much lower rate.
3) Efficiency: This is wrapped up in price because if someone bills at half the hourly rate, but takes twice as long to do something, the amount of money spent is the same, but...the task took twice as long. This is tough to gauge beforehand, but I will tell you that Maya works fast and her work product is excellent (intelligent and insightful comments on documents, deep knowledge of the system and the law).
4) Results: This, also, is tough to determine beforehand. Here is what I will say: Maya is excellent in court and when push comes to shove, she will throw down the gauntlet and advocate in a respectful, but firm way. She was able to send specific, motivating emails to opposing counsel that got results at critical points in time.
Overall, Maya is an excellent choice she is reasonable and would tell me when what I was asking was not. Honestly, I have no points of criticism. You can do your due diligence in seeking a family lawyer, but if you want to simplify the process, hire her and never look back.

I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

I recently ended a long-term marriage and -in so doing- found myself slowly being pulled towards a contested divorce trial. My ex-spouse and I found difficulties in reaching a compromise and she was in no hurry to move the divorce forward. Further, I had little knowledge of the divorce laws, the legal processes of divorce or the court system in general as this was my first exposure to a trial. I was really out of my comfort zone in such matters.
I came to Rhonda not only for her AAML certification and extensive divorce experience but, in researching her background further, I found that she had a good record for moving cases forward. Mary was very direct and clear about her recommendations, but was also willing to do whatever I asked during a very complicated custody, equitable distribution and divorce process. She was supportive and has a great sense of humor. She has good relationships with her legal counterparts, which ultimately makes the most difference in and out of court. Wendy was also very responsive and helpful. Since this was a complex case, there were some things that did not turn out as expected, but Mary and Wendy were always upfront with me and walked through what the next steps would be. The only feedback for improvement would be occasionally administrative things were a little disorganized (for instance forgetting to correct errors in paperwork, disposing of the wrong document, having to do some things while I waited rather than having it ready), but there was nothing that impacted the case negatively. Overall, they took care of whatever needed to happen and made sure my best interests were covered.
