Working with Attorney Chmielewski was a complexly positive experience for me, especially after getting off course with the first attorney that represented me. I had gotten myself into some trouble, and I didn't really know who to turn to. It seems like most lawyers do not care about you, and are just in it for the money, and to get your case done with as quickly as possible. I met Dominic, and he was different than the rest of the lawyers I talked to. He kept me informed, and was able to get me an outcome that was pleasing to all. I do not write reviews on a lot of things, even if I do like the product, but I feel like people need to know about this great lawyer . He will fight for what's right , and he will try his hardest. He always kept me informed, and guided me every step of the way, and for that I am forever grateful. Megan Murray was my divorce lawyer a dozen years ago and recently my lawyer for “post judgement issues” that arose with my ex-spouse. Ms Murray is a highly skilled lawyer who not only knows the law and its nuances but knows how to deal with a recalcitrant adversary in order to reach a fair settlement. She is always professional, no matter how the badly the adversary behaves. Her arguments are always well researched, beautifully written and to the point.

I am very pleased with the end results of my divorce which Megan worked effortlessly to obtain for me. Megan assisted me during one of my most vulnerable of times. While trying to get the school to acknowledge my daughter's autism diagnosis I was also battling her father to recognize her needs in regards to custody and our divorce. I contacted this attorney when I got into a jam with a DUI in the past I have dealt with other attorneys they’ve always been interested in one thing and one thing only money. This guy was fair honest I dealt with the attorney directly and not his office staff, which was amazing., he was always able to communicate directly with me and again, not through a paralegal. I could reach him by cell phone and texting all the time which was very convenient and most of all he was very affordable. I highly recommend this gentleman I will be using his services in the future and refer all family and friends with the need of a good lawyer that’s honest and will not leave your bank account empty .

Initially, I was very nervous about choosing an attorney. However, my first (no commitment) meeting with a McIlveen attorney in July 2015 was pretty satisfactory. I was referred to Mrs. Kelly by an attorney that felt she would be the best at representing me throughout my divorce.
I am not a very wealthy individual to say the least. I am pretty much your typical middle class worker struggling to get by. Mrs Kelly was very understanding and very "real". She was very honest and frank with me from the start and I truly respected that.

We have been using Aimee since 2006 when we first contacted her to obtain custody of our grand daughter. In that time she has provider execellent services to us in obtaining custody, getting the father to provide child support and eventually in getting the father and mother to finally give up their parental rights so that we could adopt her. Aimee also helped us in preparing our wills so that all our childern, both natural and adopted, would be equitably taken care of when we died. I want to tell everyone how awesome Raquel Abel is. I was going to lose my daughter but Raquel came in and helped me gain full custody of my daughter. Lauren has been such a god-send for me. She helped me to mitigate a messy mediation situation where I was poised to give everything away by the time she came to my aide. I first met Lauren about nine years ago when looking for a mediation lawyer to facilitate my divorce process. From the many lawyers I talked to, she was the one that inspired the most trust and confidence, and to this I do not regret the decision of working with her.
Those who have been through a divorce know that a divorce is always a messy emotional and financial process. This gets magnified if people do it the "traditional" way with separate lawyers alienating the couple even more, expensive litigation, arguing back-and-forward endlessly, etc. At times this process can take years.
But with mediation divorce does not become an adversarial process. It is a process in which both parties communicate in ways that are healthy. Lauren is excellent and very skillful at facilitating this type of communication. What I appreciated the most about working with Lauren was her kind spirit and empathetic presence. While working with her it felt like she must have received training as a counselor at some point in her career due to her excellent listening skills. It made the divorce process go smoothly, and it was significantly cheaper than a traditional divorce.
I am grateful for the support Lauren provided during a rather difficult time in my life. I highly recommend her professional services.

John Holland was great from the beginning. With him being my 3rd lawyer on my case. Needless to say future lawyers, at the time of contact, weren't to interested in taking a case two other lawyers have been removed, fired, from. John listened to what I had to say and the problems I was having with previous lawyers. He was the only lawyer that "didn't" tell me, right from the start, "Oh, a father getting full custody of his young child is NOT likely to happen in the State of SC. " But of course they would do all they could and take my case. Leading absolutely no where. Then I met John Holland. I honestly don't believe he believed much of what I had to say. After all, I had already gone through 2 attorneys. He was straight up and let me know that if what I was telling him was on the up and up he would take the case. As time went by it was obvious that what I had been saying was true. John gave me the benefit of the doubt and worked extremely hard on my case. Never once mentioning in "SC Father's don't get custody". Well I'm hear to tell all the Father's out there, don't buy into the hype. Great lawyers can achieve great things. Took 6 years total. The last couple years with John fighting for me. As of July 29, 2022 I am happy to say I have full custody of my son. If your a Father that believes you should have custody of your children then fight for that. If you decide to fight, especially in SC, than you'll need a great attorney. John Holland is your man. If you don't give up than John won't either.

I was in need of a divorce attorney. This web site and a google search led me to Robert Reeves law firm and Mr. Cody Burgin. I come from a culturally different background and this would play a very important part in my divorce. Mr. Burgin was extremely professional and respected this making me feel understood and comfortable. He was always calm , very well prepared, honest and kept me grounded in my expectations regarding the outcome of the divorce. He never gave me any false hopes. He was very prompt in his responses to every one of my questions(believe me I had an expansive list ) at any given time of the day. My situation was very different in the sense that I was on the other side of the country, yet he worked with me very patiently with all the constraints.
I have heard of horror stories about people's experiences with divorce attorneys which made me very apprehensive. But Mr. Burgin never once gave me any instance to doubt him or his intentions with regards to my best interests as his client.
Two months after the divorce was finalized, I ran into a problem. I hesitantly(I was no longer his client) contacted Mr. Burgin to ask for his advice. For two days straight, he helped me through it and brought a swift end to the problem, which, without his help would have dragged on for a long time.
If, in the future, I ever find myself needing legal representation, I will choose Mr. Burgin at a moment's notice. I will also recommend him without any hesitation.

Kloosterman helped me to have visitation with my only son while a scumbag named Todd tried to delay it for two years so I couldn't even see him ever, Dylan is very happy and doing well despite Todd. Dylans whole life has turned around for the better, me and his mother are getting along and would like to pursue damages against Todd and his little law firm. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is so attentive and assertive in what she does and takes her job very serious. During my custody case, my son was being majorly abused being in the company of his mother and her associates. The home was a very negative environment and toxic to my son and the custody case was only brought about because of his constant running away from home and ending up at my doorstep. I had no experience in the transitional phase of obtaining custody but Mrs. Mandel made it so easy for me. So easy that on the first court appearance Veronica was so prepared and was so determined, I got temporary custody of my son on the first go!! As a dad I didn't think it was possible that quickly. I would like to echo what has been said in the other reviews and add that Hans has the rare combination of being an extremely ethical and personable attorney. His legal skills and knowledge are outstanding but even those are overshadowed by his interpersonal skills. He had the ability to deal with opposing counsel's atrocious behavior and prevent my case from going to trial, but still was able to obtain an advantageous settlement for me. Truly, it is amazing to watch him work. He has an incredible memory and a keen sense of how to handle people in a warm and personable manner. He has a reputation in the court system for being an ethical and courteous person, yet not someone who can be taken advantage of.
