To start, no one knows what to expect going into a dirty divorce. Mrs. Brianna Davis and her team were referred to me by another highly reputable attorney. She is a powerful and well respected counsel but above all that, she is a dynamic human being with feelings. In the midst of emotional chaos, she provided me clarity. I had a good experience with Anton and his associate attorney Emilia. I would recommend this firm. Anton is very smart and fights for his clients. He came up with a very good strategy to defend me. Mr. Sawin helped me during a particularly stressful time when my divorce agreement and child support were being modified. He was very straightforward and responsive. I am so glad to have had Laura Thudium as an attorney as I entered the collaborative approach to a dissolution. Spent thousands of dollars with this firm and got nothing but excuses and over promises. They would even cancel meetings and when I got the final bill, they’d charge me for when when they canceled the meetings. Makes no sense. Now it’s Christmas and I don’t have my daughter. After my dad passed away in April 2024, my mom and I filed for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) through the VA. Despite working with a VA liaison and following up for 10 months, we received no real updates—just that the claim was still pending. Then, my mom received a notice from the VA, which she mistakenly believed was a denial of the DIC claim. Unfortunately, even the local VA liaison misinterpreted it, causing a lot of confusion. Given that my dad’s passing was clearly linked to his disability, we realized we needed legal representation and turned to James Comerford.
From our first conversation, James took the time to listen, understand our situation, and guide us through the process. Initially, we thought we needed to file a rebuttal, but after investigating, he discovered the VA had actually misinformed us—the claim was still being processed. He assured us he would follow up, and shortly after, he called with the great news: the claim had been approved. Sandy Fox and his entire team are extremely effective! When I hired Sandy to represent me I was in a highly contentious divorce that had been painfully dragged out for 4 yrs and several attorneys .
