Where do I begin? Excellent representation. When you are a man going into family court to defend yourself against modifications to child support or ask for more custody, you can assume you are fighting an uphill battle. There are too many laws that do not take into consideration what good fathers do. Who wants to document every single detail of fatherhood to prove yourself? Well, I wanted the best representation I could find no matter what it costs or how far I had to travel. After doing my research, The Morris Firm was the clear winner. However, I still did not expect the quality of service that I received. I know lawyers cannot guarantee results, but this attorney is fast and fierce, and I am sure that the opposing counsel did not want to go to trial with this guy. First, when you retain an attorney, it is always best to hire someone that only does that area of law. Second, when you do the consultation and determine that the attorney has a personal passion for the area, hire them. You cannot buy passion and you cannot learn it in law school. Third, when you are dealing with your life you must sacrifice to get the best. His work ethic, thoroughness, professionalism, preparation, and trial strategy are all unmatched. Do not try to get a budget lawyer that practices everything. He or she will not do the research and has not kept up with the law and cases, and he or she does not have the specific experience of an attorney that practices one area of law. When I saw my first brief, it frightened me. I actually was thinking that we should ease up a little. He is very serious about giving the best offense and defense legally possible. And Elizabeth Morris is the best. She makes you feel like family and steps out front with skill and expertise. I will keep this short, but I really recommend The Morris Firm for any family court cases that he covers. I’d say he’s the best at this. And men need expert counsel in today’s legal system. Anything less would be asking for trouble that will last a long time.

Jon did excellent work on my case! Due to a change of personal circumstances, I needed to modify child support. My ex spouse insisted that any attempts to modify child support would lead to an increase in payments, which sounded outrageous to me as they were already higher than I could reasonably afford. So I retained Jon for legal assistance, and he ultimately negotiated much more favorable terms for me. Thank you!

My husband had previously used Mr. Skinner for a DUI case so I was already aware of his ability. I came to him for a child support issue and once again he proved to be the best lawyer for the job. He was able to get me back child support and also got the court to enforce some other provisions on my ex. I had used another lawyer in the past, but it didn't end well. Mr. Skinner was able to do more in 3 months than my previous lawyer did in almost a year. I would definitely recommend him!

I made the terrible mistake of driving while drunk (which led to a car accident), and I found myself with a DUI, a suspended license and several other legal problems. After getting recommendations from different people for various lawyers, I decided to go with Mr. Skinner. He was EXTREMELY knowledgable with my type of case and not only agreed to help me, but also worked with me on establishing an affordable payment plan for his services. Mr. Skinner was able to work out a great plea deal for me which I thought wasn't possible. He even made sure to clearly explain things to me throughout the entire process. I had a very unusual divorce. I was saving up for a divorce when my husband had a massive stroke and he became disabled. I had a difficult time locating a lawyer who didn't want to charge me a massive retainer to take on my case. Ryan was very clear about the process and tried to help it move smoothly along. I hired Ms. Frankmar to file a court in order to have a delayed birth certificate created for my grandmother for dual citizenship purposes.
She responded promptly to my initial email and was extremely communicative throughout the entire process.
She knew exactly what to do. She went out of her way and dealt with a jurisdiction that was far away from her office. She gave me exact instructions in terms of what to fill out and was honest about the likelihood of the court order succeeding (the likelihood was high).
She had absolutely no problem meeting (and exceeding) my expectations. She went above and beyond for me and I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
I strongly recommend Ms. Frankmar for any Pennsylvania vital records-related court filings. I certainly have recommended her to multiple people already and they have all been satisfied.

After a brief conversation with with her to make sure Ms. Frankmar had all the facts and supporting documents to work with, my case was completely finished within 6 months. Dan was incredible with handling my divorce. My divorce seemed like it would have been simple (uncontested, no children) however it ended up being anything but! There was a battle with my ex over the house value and vehicle(s), plus a bunch of nasty behavior thrown-in. Dan handled everything like a pro and had a solution at every turn. I was very pleased with Jennifer’s professionalism and willingness to listen to what I had to say.
I hired Jennifer to help me as my ex was unwilling to disclose what was happening to funds set aside specifically for my children. Unlike the lawyer I hired for my divorce, or other subsequent lawyers who disbelieved what I had to say about what was happening, or the irrational actions of my ex, Jennifer listened and was able to work with me to resolve the situation. I felt confident in her advise and she was always willing to explain things in a manner I was able to understand.

Jennifer was absolutely phenomenal with my case. I was/am dealing with a very narcissistic ex husband and Jennifer was calm, cool and collected while dealing with him and my custody case. She was very to the point with him and extremely helpful to me. She understood that I am a single mother with a single income, she was conscious of the fact that I didn’t have an endless amount of money. Jennifer would tell me all of the options that there were and we would discuss which route was best and she cared about my input. She cared about me and my daughter! Situation: My son lives in Columbus, & his minor son lives in Akron. My son got notice his son was in a bad situation with his mother, & he had to fight the maternal grandmother for custody. To be honest, I came about Ms. Staats phone number desperately trying to find a lawyer for my son on just a few days’ notice. We weren't local, and Ms. Staats was the ONLY lawyer not only to answer the phone herself, but to take the time and talk over the situation with me, AND agreed to be in court in just 3 days’ notice! Wow! She really came to bat for my son. While the other lawyer resorted to "Jerry Springer" type tactics in the court room, Ms. Staats countered every low blow statement and ridiculous motions with a professional attitude coupled with a mother tiger's ferociousness in protecting my son & his rights, and his son's best interest. Even the mother to my grandson said "I don't know where you found that lawyer, but WOW! She wouldn't let mom's lawyer get away with anything. She's impressive!"
Elisa was responsive to emails and calls when her scheduled allowed, and always got back with us. It took 10 LONG months for my son to get custody, several hearings, pretrials and motions, but really, we got every pennies’ worth of professional representation from Ms. Staats and her advice to follow during that time. When it came down to trial, she brought with her TWO of the biggest organized binders of categorized evidence and information, questions for witnesses etc.. And was VERY prepared to go to trial. Our family, & our son was extremely impressed at the detail of her work. We thank heavens that Elisa Staats was that one lawyer who answered my desperate call for help that day. Now my son has his son living with him again & they both are so very very happy!! (And so are we!) We feel Ms. Staats was overly fair in her cost, & she was always upfront on any fees or potential future fees/costs that could happen. We also feel that she did NOT "nickle and dime us" on everything, we got more than our money's worth hiring her to represent our son and his son's best interest. Elisa Staats was our angel for my son's case. Our family cannot say enough awesome things on Elisa's behalf. We were blessed to find her.

Paul and his partner Barbara make a very good team. They have a very balanced yet aggressive approach. Paul welcomes all questions as he knows his client's concerns are important. Mr. Voss is by fair an amazing attorney. He takes the time to a actually hear your concerns without interrupting you, which is very uncommon in these kind of situations. My divorce was lasted over a year and a half, was very contentious and Eric stuck with me every step of the way. My ex had two attorneys during the process and we also had a guardian ad litem involved and Eric’s communication between all of the other parties and myself was very professional. Eric really took the time to listen to my story from the initial consultation onward. He is very compassionate, kind, and honest. He told me what the most likely outcomes would be all along the way in my custody case. My case ended up going to trial over property division and Eric was very prepared and prepared me very well for the questioning in court. We essentially won every argument made at trial. Jordan Gerber is a complete angel on Earth. She was willing to take on my complex case, which had already been set for trial, when most attorneys wouldn’t touch it. Jim worked through my difficult divorce which took a few years to complete because my ex moved out of state and was hiding assets, missing appointments, etc. Even with every hurdle my ex and opposing attorney's threw at him, he remained professional and kept me informed all along the way. I came out of the situation ahead, with dignity, the majority of the property, and primary custodial custody of the children.
When the new girl figures my ex out, I can make a recommendation.

I've had 3 lawyers since I got divorced 10 years ago and this is the first one who actually did what she said and said what she did. I'll admit, it was a rocky road at first. Kristen is relaxed and hard to rattle, and that was new to me. She helped calm me down when things got dramatic and asked me to be patient with ththe process, and I'm glad I did. Before trial she explained exactly what to expect and when we went to trial she was calm, organized and assertive. When I hired Kristen I was a wreck, scared I was going to lose my kids. She listened to me throughout the process and was very reassuring. She was thorough and fair in representing me and always worked to fix things instead of creating more conflict with me and my ex. We used Marleen for child custody. She was great the case drug on for over a year due to COVID and a non responsive parent, but Marlene was always available for questions. This review is about five years overdue but Marlene deserves the credit. When my (then) husband unexpectedly asked for a divorce, he took everything out of our shared account and hired a lawyer instead of going through the military. Marlene worked with me on fees for what I could afford and did an amazing job representing me! She was incredibly thorough and kept up with fighting accusations from the other lawyer with proof they were false.
